Especially the seven progressive sonatas op. 92 are frequently studied, played and recorded.For their usefulness and didactic effectiveness, and for their high artistic quality, I selected some works by Naderman and I arranged them for the lever harp.As my intent is eminently practical and not at all historical or philological, I took some liberty in rearranging the pieces, changing some harmonic progression and adding some passages and cadences to simplify the lever changes. The fingerings for these varied passages are written in the score.Obviously I recommend that you compare my arrangements with the original score, on which you will find all Naderman's fingerings and, of course, the music in its original form.

This arrangement stays as close to the original Cyndi Lauper recording as I could get. It's intermediate level with lyrics included, for pedal or lever harp with no lever/pedal changes. Key of G and it's fun to play!

Originally published in The Skye Collection of the Best Reels and Strathspeys Extant, c. 1887, New Claret is a delightful country dance tune in 9/8. 2 pages. The first arrangement is accessible to later elementary players, the second to advanced intermediate players. The arrangements may also be played together as a duet, or one after the other for a longer and more varied arrangement. This versatile melody may also be played as a round.

Fingering for the elementary arrangement, and chord symbols for both are included. The elementary arrangement fits on a 26 string harp or larger. The intermediate arrangement will fit on a 26 string if just two bass notes are left out.
