The sentiment expressed by the title is especially perfect for weddings! It also makes a lovely harp solo for any elegant occasion.
It is meticulously notated with harp fingerings, pedal changes, muffles, and a page of performance notes explaining all the notations. If printed on paper, the one page turn (after the second page of music) is carefully planned to be doable. There are 4 pages of music, 1 page of performance notes (and some extra pages to make sure that the page turns turn out correctly).
The level is intermediate for pedal harpists.

This is a collection of 2 preludes written by Johann Sebastian Bach, arranged for the 22-string lever harp with range from A below the small C (C3) to A above the treble staff (A2-A5)
It includes:
- The well-known Prelude in C from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Das wohltemperierte Klavier" is arranged especially for the 22-string travel harp. It contains lever changes. This arrangement includes a version with lever notations (diamond note method) and fingering suggestions. Charles Gounod used this prelude to compose his beautiful Ave Maria melody.
- The soothing Prelude in G from Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 1 for Cello is arranged for the 22-string harp. It contains lever changes. These lever changes are indicated by diamond notes.
Both pieces are wonderful to play on several emotional occasions, including weddings

Maire Dhall, also known in English as Blind Mary is a tune attributed to Carolan in several sources, and written in honour of the harpist and teacher Maire Dhall of Roscommon. It is a slow and rambling tribute, and very beautiful played in an expressive style as if it were sung in the Irish sean-nos style. There are some ornaments, and alternate versions of the melody, and a somewhat older or classical feel to the arrangement. It could be an elegant slower piece in the middle of a slightly faster set - many people say the tune affects them quite emotionally, so I tried to write to enhance that.

And if you want to shorten the piece, you can do it at almost all double bar lines. So it is quite versatile.

To be a creative and versatile pop harpist, classic training is valuable and necessary. However, the habit of playing every note as written is sometimes hard to break when learning to improvise. The act of playing notes spontaneously may be overwhelming to the classically trained harpist. There are more and more written arrangements for popular music available to buy, but is satisfying to have the skills to arrange one's own pieces. It is possible to play popular music from a fake book or by ear, with training. The suggestions in this book should help bridge the gap from classical to pop, and hopefully provide some tools for the improvisation necessary for playing popular music. These ideas come from Louise's own experience, and from workshops with nationally knows pop and jazz harpists. It is hoped that the material presented will open up new avenues for the harpist to arrange and improvise in order to widen opportunities to perform.With simple melodies and uncomplicated harmonies, this book also instructs the harpist on the basics of achieving that country-western sound, as well as techniques on imitating such traditional country western instruments as guitar, banjo, fiddle, string bass, and piano. A good book for any harpist wishing to enlarge their repertoire to include this style of music.
