A really beautiful collection of original melodies. Sweet titles, sweet pieces by William Mahan, who is an architect, painter, musician and jewelry maker. Each title reflects a type of flower in Claude Monet's garden from an artist's and musician's viewpoint. Bass lines are busy but not difficult, some syncopation in a few melodies, nice harmonies and chords. There are a couple of accidentals in Spanish Red Poppies but the arranger gives ample time to flip levers.

This expressive romantic piece is often played by violin and and an accompaniment instrument, but it makes a lovely solo for harp. I play it at nursing homes, Valentine's Day concerts, wedding receptions and other classy events.

There are a number of pedal changes, but the tempo is slow and very flexible, so I don't find them too difficult.
