Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1352847 By Mormon Tabernacle Choir. By Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse. Arranged by Rachael Acheson. 20th Century,Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Pop. Score. 4 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #937661. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1352847). This beautiful arrangement of Pure Imagination from the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory -- debuted by Gene Wilder but more recently covered by Timothée Chalamet -- taps both into the sense of childhood innocence and wonder encapsulated by the song's lyrics, as well as into the quirky nature of the character of Wonka. The arrangement is two-and-a-half pages long and fitted specifically to small, 26-string lever harp, like Rees Harpsicle or Dusty Strings Ravenna. It could also easily be modified for 24-string harp models, like Harp-E, if measures 22-25 were played an octave lower than written and the high F in measure 48 were omitted.Skillwise, the arrangement it sits solidly at an intermediate level and contains only two quick lever changes, both on the same string. If you are an experienced harpist, you can probably sight-read it without too much difficulty. You will, however, need to be comfortable with playing harmonics to play it as written. If you are not comfortable playing harmonics, you could absolutely modify the piece by simply plucking each note written as a harmonic an octave higher than notated. It will sound better, however, with harmonics played as written. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score.

Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.889438 Composed by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Christmas,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Luis Anjos Teixeira #4758665. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889438). The piece is thou very simple and easy to perform. It is appropriate for the harp and it sounds great on any kind of harp. When using a little lap harp, one can easily transpose the bass voice an octave higher. It is a flexible piece, you can play it slower or a little faster and even the arpeggio in the end that becomes quite easy after some practice could be replaced by a simple glissando. You should feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills, Your taste and Your Soul. It is a piece that can be used in many different kinds of situations, from the serious concert hall to a funeral, in Easter or even Christmas celebrations and all other kinds of Spiritual events or even joyful social meetings. When performed Live It will give you back a great feedback from the public, you will always want to have it in your repertoire. Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file. I hope you have a lot of fun and enjoy the music. Sheers! Luis Anjos Teixeira „Now comes the Little Story The Volcano`s Lake was composed on a volcano called Pico that stands out about 2000 meters above see level right in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. From the bottom of the ocean to its pick it is higher than mount Everest. I like to know that there are an enormous amount of different species of whales that live in this area and many others that go there strictly for romance. I went there to perform with the harp but was at the same time deeply morning the death of my Dear Cat Mary Jane that tragically passed away the day before the flight. In this isle I was having at night strange dreams of epic battles and fights between flying Angels and Demons. In one of these dreams „Time and Matter were a byproduct of „Music itself. The wind was blowing, the volcano was dancing and the water on the lake was whispering enchanting melodies. As soon as I woke up I wrote some notes before they vanished away, just a fragment of an idea of what I was listening in the dream. I named it „The Volcano`s Lake, because the „Lake was comforting me with its melodies, I realized that my tears were also becoming the lake itself and in this lake I was becoming one with Mary Jane and all the rest of the Universe. Thanks to Claudia Eppelt for the all the Love the wonderful painting and cover design. Special Thanks to Stray Dog Nina, Stray Queen Mimi, Carlinhos, Maria Pontinha, Mary Jane, Schwarzenegger, Maria Koboldinha. For all Living beings on Earth, for all our Ancestors, Thank You for all of You All Your Love and Compassion. Love Forever. Luis Anjos Teixeira Disclaimer: The score was written on Finale. The sound file was produced with samplers from Garritan and conceived merely as an audio support for the presentation of this score.

Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.928333 Composed by Rory Dall. Arranged by Karen Peterson. Celtic,Contemporary,Folk. Score. 4 pages. Karen Peterson #5993785. Published by Karen Peterson (A0.928333). WATCH THE D DORIAN VERSION: You are viewing the arrangement for lap harp, which is in the key of A dorian. To hear the D dorian version played on a larger harp, go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0-Kg0LifaUOverview: This tune was published by Daniel Dow in the 1770s and was probably composed by Roderick Morison (~1656-1713). My double-strung harp arrangement in the dorian mode has rolled, echoed chords, highlighting the depth of sound we can get from having two sets of strings. The accompaniment hand traverses the entire range of the harp, often overlapping the melody hand.Key and range: A dorian (one sharp). 21x2 strings. G below middle C through F. (LARGER HARPS: For harps with C below middle C or lower, get the D dorian version here: www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/rorie-lament-for-double-strung-harp-digital-sheet-music/21815669)Lever changes: None.Good for: Performance, memorials, therapeutic settings.Double-strung effects: The LH accompaniment frequently overlaps the RH melody range. Rolled accompaniment chords often contain the same note as the melody, creating a rolled echo. Some chords that aren’t rolled have doubled notes in both hands, creating depth. The repetition of LH patterns makes this a great piece to learn overlapping hands with.Characteristics: Neither hand needs to place more than an octave spread. There are some four-note chords (always LH 1-3-5-8). The RH has almost no chords. Few of the chords are inversions. There are very few sixteenth notes; no more than three played together with one hand. The LH has two long-run patterns (1-5-8-9-10 and 1-5-8-9) which can be played with cross-unders or a wandering thumb. The RH has a few cross-overs/unders.Finger placement: Finger number suggestions are provided for key phrases. Numbers above the notes are suggestions for the RH (marked with R or R# when they occur in the bottom staff). Numbers below the notes are suggestions for the LH (marked with L or L# when they occur in the top staff).Notation: Chord symbols are provided. Treble clef is used for both staves, with 8va for very high notes. Length: 4 pages. 60 measures, plus 12 if you take the repeat. 4 minutes.Page turns: If you are printing, double-side pages 2 and 3 so that there is only one page turn. The RH can be used on all notes of page 2’s last measure, so that the LH can turn the page. If you are using single pages on a tablet, you can do something similar at the end of page 3. Page 1’s turn is manageable. Contact me after purchase if you’d like a version that fits on two pages: EnjoyTheHarp@gmail.com

Whimsical Witches' Waltz: A Composition for Small or Beginner Harp

Lever Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1380924 Composed by Rachael Acheson…
(+)
Lever Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1380924 Composed by Rachael Acheson. Classical,Film/TV,Halloween,Medieval,Spiritual. Score. 3 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #965699. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1380924). This is my first original composition for small solo harp. I like to think it gives spooky filmscore / Wednesday Addams vibes, with a neoclassical air, while still remaining very accessible to a less-experienced musician with a small, simple, or budget instrument. It is in the key of A minor (i.e. no sharps or flats) with no lever changes. It should also already fit the range of most common small harp models, including Harpsicle harps (even if your model has no levers!), Roosebeck Pakistani harps (it goes no lower than the F below middle C), Harp-E harps (it goes no higher than your high E), Dusty Strings Ravenna, Musicmakers Sonnet Lap Harp, and others. It can also, obviously, be played on any and all larger harp models.Played at full-speed, some of the turn-arounds in the right-hand, as well as the octave jump in the middle, can prove tricky (as you can see from my own playing in the video!). But played under tempo and more expressively, it could be accessible even to beginner/early-intermediate harpists, so long as you are learning to replace fingers and change directions. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score. Also note: If the preview shows a 4/4 timing, this is a software rendering error. I have already uploaded a new pdf with the correct preview, in 3/4 waltz time. But know, in the meantime, that the actual, full score itself is, and has always been, rendered correctly in 3/4 timing.

Lever Harp - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1370432 Composed by Jay Chattaway. Arranged by Rachael Acheson. 20th Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Irish,Pop,Video Game. Score. 3 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #954803. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1370432). This arrangement of Captain Picard's Air from the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode The Inner Light is fitted specifically to the range of a 26-string lever harp, like Harpsicle Harps or Dusty String Ravenna. While there are some complex rhythms and silences to count through, the notation itself is relatively simple -- intended to reflect the sparse, lonely/hopeful nature of the original song, which was played on a solo pennywhistle. It is written in the key of G Major (one sharp), which means it can be played on Harpsicle models that are not fully levered (e.g. Sharpsicles, as well as Fullsicles), and there are no lever changes or accidentals. If the harmonics are omitted, and the dotted rhythms counted carefully, this piece could be accessible to a late-beginner, at least from a technique standpoint. Beginner harpists who have little or no prior background in reading sheet music might struggle with the leger lines, though. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score.

Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797493 Composed by Carol Wood. Celtic,Halloween,Holiday,New Age,Spiritual. Score. 22 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4886961. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797493). While all eight of these Celtic holidays may not be truly ancient, several of them certainly are; some, like Samhain, have had Christianizing veils cast over them but have kept many of the pre-Christian customs associated with their celebration. Interested harpists will find a wealth of available information about these holidays, their names, and their customs. Imbolc, February 1st or 2nd, is also the Feast of St. Bridget or Brigid and is associated with the ancient goddess of that name in Celtic mythology.Ostara is the name sometimes given to the neo-Celtic celebration of the Spring Equinox. This piece depicts the dawn of the day and of the year. Beltaine, the joyous celebration of spring’s warmth and wealth of flowers and new greenery, occurs on the first day of May. The longest day of the year and the shortest night mark the Summer Solstice-Midsummer. Since long before Shakespeare’s funny and lyrical play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Summer Solstice has been associated with magic.Lughnasadh, on August 1st, is the festival of the first harvest. A version of the name of this festival survives in Manx and Scots Gaelic as well as in Irish Gaelic, and the name itself derives from Lugh, one of the most important Celtic godsMabon marks the Autumn Equinox and the end of summer; for me, it is a wistful moment of the year-extremely beautiful yet transitory. Samhain is one of the most significant celebrations in the Celtic year- the word itself means the end of summer, the beginning of the dark part of the year. It survives even in non-Celtic countries as Halloween, thanks to its adoption into the Christian calendar as All Hallows’ Eve. It is said to be the time when the veils between this world and the next are at their most thin. The Winter Solstice is marked in many European cultures as a time for celebrating the birth of the new light and a time for decorating with evergreens like holly. For The Holly King, modal and traditional versions of the carol The Holly and the Ivy, were used because of the lyrics’ references to the rising of the sun, and the running of the deer.

Lever Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1468126 Composed by Michael Giacchino. Arranged by Rachael Acheson. Broadway,Children,Contemporary,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Video Game. Score. 4 pages. TheHarpLibrarian #1046437. Published by TheHarpLibrarian (A0.1468126). This is my arrangement of Bundle of Joy from the Disney/Pixar film Inside Out for celtic or folk lever harp. It can be played on a lap harp model as small as 26 strings, like the Harpsicle Fullsicle that I am playing in the video, or on a larger floor harp. Your model must have levers, though, as the melody changes keys repeatedly and so relies on several quick lever changes. The lowest note is the E below middle C and the highest is the G two octaves above middle C. As such, it should work on many common small or lap harp models, including Harpsicle harps, some Roosebeck Pakistani harps (depending on the range), Dusty Strings Ravenna 26, Marini Made lap harps, Heartland Harps Air Serenity, and many others. As noted above, it can also work on a larger floor harp with levers. The piece is light, quick, and repetative. By far the hardest element in my opinion is the succession of levers changes in the melody, though these come easier with practice. But less experienced harpists may also want to take into account that there are a few harmonics, played on both hands, in the middle section, and that the song will sound odd if these are omitted. Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score.

This is an Irish traditional tune. It is claimed O'Carolan wrote it but it is based on an old Irish air so it may not have been just him who wrote it. I have played this tune in many different arrangements and keys but I quite like this one. It has suggested fingering written in. This tune can be learned by any harpist of intermediate standard with a lever harp . From grade 3 upwards. If another key is desired I can upload it as well. When I upload more tunes I fully intend to sell 3 tunes for the price of 2 if that is possible. This tune can also be played on the piano with different fingering.

This is an Irish traditional hornpipe and slip jig. A hornpipe is in a 4/4 time but with a different beat and swing from a reel. A slip jig is in 9/8 time so it feels like a 3 time. I have joined them together as they work well but one can play them separately from each other. The rights of man just has one relatively easy lever change (and a change back). One needs to be of an intermediate level to play these tunes well. The key is E-minor and with the small key change that means one needs levers on F and C. Piano players can also play these but will need to change the fingering.

Harp - Digital Download Fantasia on the Rondo from the Piano Sonata in A major K. 331 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, arranged for harp by Ekaterina Afanasieva (2015). Composed by Fazil Say. Arranged by Ekaterina Afanasieva. This edition: single sheet. Eingangsmelodie, Handy- Klingelton, Mozart. Downloadable. Op. 5b. Duration 4 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q46259. Published by Schott Music - Digital
The final movement of the Sonata in A major KV 331 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Rondo Alla Turca, is one of the most famous piano pieces of all time. Once only familiar to musical experts, later a universal piece for all piano pupils, its opening melody is now even omnipresent as an alienated sinus tone-like mobile phone ring tone. Fazil Say\'s arrangement, originally created as an effective encore, follows on from this popularity. After the first eight bars have been presented in original form, typical elements of jazz superimposed on the still recognisable classical foundations can be discovered, such as syncopation of the top notes and ornamentation through chromatic blue notes, embedded in the at times frenzied chains of semiquavers. In the spirit of the work\'s improvisatory character, Say likes to perfom his Alla Turca Jazz in different combinations, for example accompanied by jazz singers of with orchestra. It may appear strange that Fazil Say, who was born in Turkey and - when not on tour - is still resident in that country, does not bring back Mozart\'s interpretation of genuine Turkish music closer to its own roots, particularly as many of his compositions such as Black Earth or the Violin Sonata are characterised by a subtle amalgamation of the Classical-Romantic tradition, Turkish folk music and elements of jazz. In a further Mozart arrangement, the ballet music Patara premiered in Vienna in 2006, composed on the basis of the Rococo-like theme from the first movement of the same A-major Sonata (wich enjoys almost as great popularity as the Alla Turca theme), Say utilised the connection which was absent in Alla Turca, albeit in the opposite direction. In the ballet music, the piano symbolises Western culture and the Ney flute Oriental culture, communcated atmosperically by austere percussion instrumentation and soprano vocalisation. The very popular piece was now arranged for harp by Ekaterina Afanasieva. The final movement of the Sonata in A major KV 331 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Rondo Alla Turca, is one of the most famous piano pieces of all time. The Children's Album is dedicated to Tchaikovsky's favorite nephew, Vladimir Davydov. On 12/24 December 1878, Tchaikovsky wrote to Lev Davydov: "Tell Bobik that the music has been printed with pictures, that the music was composed by Uncle Petya, and that on it is written Dedicated to Volodya Davydov. The silly little fellow will not understand what dedicated means... Even so, Bobik is an inimitably delightful figure when he's playing, and he might look at the notes, and think that a whole symphony is dedicated to him“.<br> <br> In a letter of 30 April/12 May 1878 to Nadezhda von Meck, the composer wrote: "A while ago I thought that it would not be a bad idea to make a small contribution to the stock of children's musical literature, which is very modest. I want to create a series of little individual pieces just for children, and with an attractive title, like Schumann`s.<br> <br> Some months before this letter was written, while staying in Florence on 14/26 February, Tchaikovsky told Pyotr Jurgenson that he wanted "to write a number of easy pieces, like Kinderstück“. Evidently, the idea of creating a collection of pieces for young people had not been abandoned by the composer, and after his return to Kamenka in April he decided to begin composition. In the aforementioned letter to Nadezhda von Meck, he informed her: "Tomorrow I shall start working on my collection of miniatures for children".<br> <br> On 1/13 May the composer wrote to Anatoly Tchaikovsky: "I'm working well and have done rather a lot". On 4/16 May the sketches for all 24 pieces were ready. Shortly afterwards, Tchaikovsky accepted an invitation from Nadezhda von Meck to stay at her Brailov estate until the end of May/beginning of June, before spending a few days in Moscow; from there he went to spend five days with his friend Nikolay Kondratyev at Nizy, and in mid/late June he called at Kiev, before returning to Verbovka. In the days following his arrival, he began to put the finishing touches to all the pieces written in April and May. The fair copy of the Children's Album was begun, it seems, on 13/25 July.<br> <br> By 20 July/1 August the copying out was completed, and on 21 July/2 August the composer told Nadezhda von Meck that he was working on the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom.<br> <br> On 29 July/10 August the manuscript of the Children's Album, along with a number of other compositions, was sent to Pyotr Jurgenson in Moscow. In October, after the proofs had been corrected, the album was published.<br> <br> <br> <br> P.S.- Other than a modest suggestion for an interpretation, this arrangements remain absolute faithful to the original composition. <br> <br> The first version is in the original key of g minor, the second is transposed to „a minor“, the third one is intended for a little lap harp and transposed to d minor. It sounds better in the original key of g minor. I used a lot the d minor version and performed it with my little harp very often, always experiencing a very deep musical feedback.<br> <br> A little nuance was added to the arrangements, thus obliged by its minimal use on the original manuscripts. <br> <br> I included the original long and expressive leggato bows and left out the staccatos for the left hand between the bars 17 and 20. Everyone enjoys Celtic Folk Songs and Folk Hymns but not all realize that often they can be one and the same. A hymn text has often found its home in a folk song and a secular text sometimes finds a home in a hymn tune. This collection has a little of both. All but one of the tunes in this collection are of Celtic origin. The exception, “Amazing Grace,” is a folk hymn of unknown origin that has all the markings of a Celtic Tune, including a pentatonic harmonic foundation.<br> For the harpists who also like to understand the history of a tune or even sing along, a variety of texts along with information about the tune and the lyrics can be found in the back of this book in the “Notes on the Tunes.”<br> <br> Titles: Ad Hyd y nos, Annie Laurie, Auld Lang Syne, Bunessan, Brother James' Air, Down By the Salley Gardens, Greensleeves, Iona Boat Song, Rorate (Rorate Coeli Desuper), Londonderry Air, New Britain, O Waly Waly, Slane, Scots W' Hae, The Ash Grove, Royal Oak, The Twenty-Ninth of May, St. Denio, Skye Boat Song, The Bard of Armagh, The Streets of Laredo, The Caledonian Hunt's Delight, St. Columba, The Road and the Miles to Dundee, The Rowan Tree, Ye Banks and Braes O' Bonnie Doon<br> <br> One of the nicest things about this book is that each song has a short but lovely introduction!Everyone enjoys Celtic Folk Songs and Folk Hymns but not all realize that often they can be one and the same. Harp - Early Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Jodi Ann Tolman. General Worship, Anniversary, Wedding, Funeral. Individual Part, Sheet Music Single, Solo Part. 6 pages. Published by Jodi Ann Tolman
This is my second original composition for solo harp. I wanted to write a piece that is calm, peaceful, and reflective, but, like our lives, also has moments of uncertainty or sadness. This piece is soothing to play and listen to and is perfect for many different situations including weddings, church services, or harp therapy situations. This PDF includes two copies of this song, one in the key of Eb and one in the key of D. It is playable on both pedal and lever harps and has no pedal or lever changes. (each version is 2 pages) This song is dedicated to my oldest daughter, my Aicardi Syndrome warrior, Annie Michelle. I am so blessed and humbled that Heavenly Father has entrusted you to me, and I am truly grateful for each day that I have to be ?here with you.?This is my second original composition for solo harp. Nine Traditional Tunes from Ireland, Scotland and England Arranged for Lever Harp. Composed by Frances Thiele. Harp: Folk and Pedal. Celtic / Irish. E-book. Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music #30745EB. Published by Mel Bay Publications - Digital Sheet Music
ISBN 9781619118560.<br> <br> At the end of the eighteenth century, Edward Bunting published a major work of Irish music called A General Collection of the Ancient Music of Ireland (1797). He followed this publication with two more collections in 1809 and 1840. Many of the tunes in these books came from the harpers he heard performing at the Belfast Harp Festival in 1792. In the first part of his 1840 collection, Bunting described the anatural keya of the harp used by the Irish harpers as leith glass or leithghlas. The Irish harpers tuned their instrument in this key, which we would recognize as G major because it had an F sharp. Frances Thieleas Leith Glass explores the musical possibilities and sounds achievable with a single tuning on the lever harp. The collection includes nine traditional tunes from Ireland, Scotland and England that together give a sense of the many musical colors that can be produced from the leith glass tuning if we think modally like the harpers of old. Suitable for intermediate lever harp players, the arrangements are all playable on a 34-string lever harp with sharping levers on F and C (C# is only required for one of the pieces with accidentals a aMy Lagan Lovea). The lowest note used is C, two octaves below middle C.ISBN 9781619118560.<br> <br> At the end of the eighteenth century, Edward Bunting published a major work of Irish music called A General Collection of the Ancient Music of Ireland (1797).
