These two arrangements (one page each) may be played one after the other for a more varied arrangement, or either one may be played twice through to suit the level of the player. The early intermediate arrangement will fit on a small harp of 26 strings, and the more advanced arrangement can also fit 26 strings by omitting a few bass notes. Originally published in The Skye Collection of the Best Reels and Strathspeys Extant, c. 1887, New Claret is a delightful country dance tune in 9/8. 2 pages. The first arrangement is accessible to later elementary players, the second to advanced intermediate players. The arrangements may also be played together as a duet, or one after the other for a longer and more varied arrangement. This versatile melody may also be played as a round.

Fingering for the elementary arrangement, and chord symbols for both are included. The elementary arrangement fits on a 26 string harp or larger. The intermediate arrangement will fit on a 26 string if just two bass notes are left out.

This arrangement consists of four different variations (easy, early intermediate, intermediate and advanced intermediate level) and with an easy ending. This piece contains no pedal or lever changes. The range is from A below the small C (C3) to A above the treble staff (A2-A5).
