Lever Harp - Digital Download SKU: A0.1353605 By Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy. By Lin-Manuel Miranda. Arranged by Maurice Draughn. Children,Film/TV,Latin,Pop. 59 pages. DtM Publications #938350. Published by DtM Publications (A0.1353605). This arrangement of We Don't Talk about Bruno is accessible for harp ensembles of all levels. Within the arrangement is a standalone arragnement for an advanced level harp quartet (parts 1A-4A). The remaining parts for intermediate level trio (1B-3B) and beginner level trio (1C-3C) expands the arrangement for a robust (10+) harp ensemble experience that is inclusive of all skill sets. The arrangment also utilizes special effects on the harp to capture the narrative from the original song.

Harp - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.541072 Composed by French carol. Arranged by Cindy Blevins. Christmas. Score. 3 pages. Cindy Blevins #3098393. Published by Cindy Blevins (A0.541072). This is an arrangement for easy harp. It is lap harp friendly. The music is two pages and includes chord symbols. It is from my harp book Easy Favorites, Seasonal.Keep in mind that easy means different things to different people. When I do easy arrangements, I generally make them less notey and simplify melodies and rhythms where appropriate. Let the music sample be your guide! The Sheet Music Plus Item # for the book Easy Favorites, Seasonal is S0.315993.

By Journey. Arranged by Karen Peterson. Sheet Music Single, Solo Part. 6 pages. Published by Karen Peterson
Your audience’s memory of this Eighties rock anthem by Journey will be playing along in their head—from the original album, a live performance, The Sopranos, Glee, karaoke, or all of the above. But they’ve never heard it before on a harp.

This arrangement makes good use of the double-strung by using both sides for repeated notes and letting the accompaniment hand overlap the melody. The result is beautiful but still ballsy.

Range and key: F major (one flat). 23x2 strings. C below middle C through D.
Lever changes: None.

Good for: Weddings, parties, performance, therapeutic settings.

Double-strung effects: The LH accompaniment frequently overlaps the RH melody range. Finger placements are suggested for playing echoed notes with alternating hands to work around or emphasize ringing strings. Since the alternate-hand echoing is not required, it’s a great piece to learn this technique on.

Characteristics: Arpeggios and a syncopated melody. The RH never places more than an octave spread; the LH places 1-9 twice. There are a few four-note chords (LH 1-3-5-8); the rest of the chords are three notes, usually not inversions. The RH has almost no chords. There are two bars of sixteenth notes that can easily be substituted for eighths. The LH has two long-run patterns (1-5-8-9-10 and 1-5-8-9) which can be played with cross-unders or a wandering thumb. The RH has only two cross-overs.

Finger placement: Finger number suggestions are provided for key phrases. Numbers above the notes are suggestions for the RH (marked with “R” or “R#” when they occur in the bottom staff). Numbers below the notes are suggestions for the LH (marked with “L” or “L#” when they occur in the top staff). To see what I mean, view the PDF of finger placement examples in “Don’t Stop Believin’: www.EnjoyTheHarp.com/s/dont-stop-believin-notes-enjoy-the-harp.pdf

Notation: Chord symbols and lyrics are provided. Treble clef in both staves. To avoid switching between bass clef and treble in the accompaniment, 8vb lines are used for the low Cs, Ds, and Es (which means that you play an octave below what’s written). Low Fs use 8vb sometimes, so if you see a lot of low ledger lines, don’t worry: it’s that F below middle C. Instead of counting the lines, you can look at the chord symbols to confirm.

Length: 6 pages. 106 measures. 4:00–5:00 minutes, depending on tempo.

Page turns: If you are printing, double-side pages 2-3 and 4-5 to minimize page turns. Line breaks have been made with printed or single-page-tablet turns in mind; you can pick up some accompaniment notes in the RH to turn with the LH.

Analysis and performance notes at www.EnjoyTheHarp.com/dont-stop-believinYour audience’s memory of this Eighties rock anthem by Journey will be playing along in their head—from the original album, a live performance, The Sopranos, Glee, karaoke, or all of the above. Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797294 Arranged by Darhon Rees-Rohrbacher. Celtic,Classical,Folk. Score. 35 pages. Afghan Press Music for the Harp #4800674. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp (A0.797294). Welsh airs used in this publication were collected by Edward Jones (1751-1824), harper to King George IV. Jones was born in North Wales and in about 1775 moved to London where he enjoyed a nearly 50-year career as composer, arranger, performer and teacher. This delightful collection of arrangements is a real treat and something a little bit different for your repertoire. As usual, Darhon's arrangements are wonderfully playable with enough complexity to be interesting. Each of the melodies stands alone but, as she has done with other collections, Darhon has arranged them in a progressive key order so that they can be played together en-suite. Several of the tunes would make wonderful wedding processionals and others are perfect for a prelude.Table of Contents: Hob y Deri Danno (Away to the Oaken Grove), Cwynfan Brydain (The Lamentation of Britain), Ysgin Aur (The Golden Robe), Dewis Meinwen (The Fair One’s Choice), Triban Gwŷr Morganwg (War Song of the Men of Glamorgan), Ruban Morfydd (Morvydd’s Ribband), Pen Rhaw (The Spade’s Head), Serch Hudol (The Allurement of Love), Castell Tywyn (Towyn Castle), Toriad y Dydd (The Dawn of Day), Croeso’r Wenynen (Welcome the Bee), Galon Drom (The Heavy Heart), Gil y Fwyalch (The Blackbird’s Retreat), Mwynen Môn (The Melody of Mona), Mantell Siani (Jenny’s Mantle)

Lullabies.Lullabies - Harp Music / Album Lullabies by Darian Stavans.Lullabies are soft melodies for the harp. They are songs to enjoy and share, and as such are songs for everyone. Don’t we all have a child inside? Aren’t we all seeking answers to complex questions? The path is always innocent. We fill ourselves and become familiar with that light that lives inside us guiding us through the challenges we all face, that we all go through… Just as when we played, loved and worried as children. That is what this album is about: enjoying music for sheer pleasure, and in this way igniting the innocent, naïve emotions we all carry within us.1.- Danza2.- Canto al Aire3.- Canción de Cuna4.- Lullaby5.- Balada de la Luna6.- La Barca y el Mar7.- Canción del AlmaHarp Music work.26 pages.Duration: 39:00Website: www.darianstavans.comemail: darianstavans@gmail.comYouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/darianstavans/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Darian.Stavans1.

Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942891 Composed by James W. Knox. Contemporary,World. Score. 9 pages. Knox Music #6599795. Published by Knox Music (A0.942891). On the Lake written for advanced SSAA divisi and harp. Fannie Isabelle Sherrick was an American poet who wrote songs and poems throughout the 1860's that captured hearts and minds. I Can Not Say the Sad Good-Bye was one of her notable songs published in 1873. She was both influenced and encouraged by Ella Wheeler Wilcox who she attributed her success to. Her most popular poetry volume entitled Love or Fame and Other Poems was published in 1880 by W.S Bryan of St Louis and she continued writing for many years. ON THE LAKE There's a beautiful lake where the sun lies low, And the skies are warm with their summer glow; And a beautiful picture there I see Where the winds are warm and the waves are free, And the waves lie still in the sun As the flowers at night, when the day is done. You may sing of your silvery seas by night When the moon looks down with a dreamy light; And the stars shine out in the skies above Like the warm sweet gaze of the eyes of love; But the glow on the lake to-day Is a glory that never will fade away. The beautiful lake is a sea of gold And the beauty it wears will never grow old; The trees bend down in the sun's warm glow Till their branches meet in the waves below, And the clouds in the far-off skies Are mirrored anew where the sunlight lies. I love to float where the shadows lie 'Neath the matchless glow of the summer sky; And I love to dream that these waves of light Will never fade in the gloomy night: But I know that the things I love Are as far from my reach as the clouds above. Oh, the beautiful lake is a sea of gold And the beauty it wears will never grow old; The cloudlets of Heaven are mirrored there In a golden splendor so bright and fair That the soul is dazzled for aye By the beautiful light of this summer's day. Oh, I love to dream when this life is o'er We shall moor our boats near the golden shore; And our sorrows shall drift from us far away As the leaves that float in their idle play, And the waves shall smile in the sun When the night is over and life is done. Fannie Isabelle Sherrick.

Lever Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1290883 By Fkj. By Vincent Fenton. Arranged by Stephanie Claussen. 21st Century,Contemporary,Jazz,Multicultural,New Age,World. Score. 4 pages. Stephanie Claussen #881568. Published by Stephanie Claussen (A0.1290883). I arranged this short version of Ylang Ylang for a harp student of mine. The chromaticism of the piece called for some tricky lever solutions but I managed to create an arrangement that has no lever changes. Your harp needs to be tuned in 3 flats and have all the levers. I don't recommend trying this version on pedal harp. I've included a page of rhythm exercises to help with some of the interesting rhythmic figures in the piece. My biggest recommendation is that you listen to the recording a lot! This piece is fun and relaxing to play and would make wonderful background music for any low-key event: a cocktail hour, a slow exercise class, getting ready for a wedding, etc.

Published by Brigitte Bonin (A0.1455787). Here are the score of Le Taulier It's a late beginner piece with the left hand playing always in the same order the bass part and the right hand having a little more fun. I play this piece on a 38 strings harp tuned in Eb, the lowest note is B0 and the highest is D6. But music is not rigid, you can adapt it to your harp (and send me a video I want to see !!) Advices :- for the A and C : as you repeat the measure, to avoid buzzing, place fingers 432 and then 1, not the 4 fingers at once.- don't worry about the original tempo, if you play it without singing it, you can accelerate, but if you also learn the singing part, 132 is optimum.Note : it's a love song, you will know that you're playing it well when you'll feel love playing it ;) Lyrics (french)Il m’a dit au revoir Ce vieux briscard Il a dit au revoirRaconte pas d’histoiresOn a vécu tous les joursSur le fil de l’amourOn a vécu tous ces joursOn s’aimera toujoursT’as régies ma vieMon cœur est mes enviesTu m’as apprisL’alchimie Le Taulier Loge et nourritContre un peu d’or

Give it a try!For those who don't know what dressage is - it is a style of horse-back riding where the horse seemingly dances to music.

Harp - advanced - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q15608 Composed by Sophia Giustani Dussek. This edition: Sheet music. Harp - sonata. Downloadable. Op. 2. Schott Music - Digital #Q15608. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q15608). Sophia Giustani Dussek's opus 2 consists of two books of three sonatas each for the harp. The Sonata in C minor appears in the first book, published by Pleyel in Paris in 1796. In that book, the composer's first name was not mentioned, so the sonatas were falsely ascribed to Johann Ludwig Dussek, who was quite well known in Paris at that time (cf. RISM, D 4605). In the Thematic index of the works of J.L. Dussek by Howard Craw, opus 2 is given as a set of 4 violin sonatas. An edition of the harp sonatas published by Corri, Dussek and Co. in London and Edinburgh is ascribed to Sophia Dussek (cf. RISM, D 4649). The new edition of the sonata published by Schott has been corrected accordingly. The edition is part of the ABRSM syllabus and Trinity syllabus 2007 (grade 7).

Composition inspired by the poem There will Come Soft Rains by Sara Teasdale. There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground, And swallows calling with their shimmering sound; And frogs in the pools singing at night, And wild plum-trees in tremulous white; Robins will wear their feathery fire Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire; And not one will know of the war, not one Will care at last when it is done. Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree If mankind perished utterly; And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn, Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Composed by Pyotr Ilich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Luis Anjos Teixeira. Romantic Period, Repertoire, Recital. Individual Part, Solo Part. 6 pages. Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira
The Children's Album is dedicated to Tchaikovsky's favorite nephew, Vladimir Davydov. On 12/24 December 1878, Tchaikovsky wrote to Lev Davydov: "Tell Bobik that the music has been printed with pictures, that the music was composed by Uncle Petya, and that on it is written Dedicated to Volodya Davydov. The silly little fellow will not understand what dedicated means... Even so, Bobik is an inimitably delightful figure when he's playing, and he might look at the notes, and think that a whole symphony is dedicated to him“.

In a letter of 30 April/12 May 1878 to Nadezhda von Meck, the composer wrote: "A while ago I thought that it would not be a bad idea to make a small contribution to the stock of children's musical literature, which is very modest. I want to create a series of little individual pieces just for children, and with an attractive title, like Schumann`s.

Some months before this letter was written, while staying in Florence on 14/26 February, Tchaikovsky told Pyotr Jurgenson that he wanted "to write a number of easy pieces, like Kinderstück“. Evidently, the idea of creating a collection of pieces for young people had not been abandoned by the composer, and after his return to Kamenka in April he decided to begin composition. In the aforementioned letter to Nadezhda von Meck, he informed her: "Tomorrow I shall start working on my collection of miniatures for children".

On 1/13 May the composer wrote to Anatoly Tchaikovsky: "I'm working well and have done rather a lot". On 4/16 May the sketches for all 24 pieces were ready. Shortly afterwards, Tchaikovsky accepted an invitation from Nadezhda von Meck to stay at her Brailov estate until the end of May/beginning of June, before spending a few days in Moscow; from there he went to spend five days with his friend Nikolay Kondratyev at Nizy, and in mid/late June he called at Kiev, before returning to Verbovka. In the days following his arrival, he began to put the finishing touches to all the pieces written in April and May. The fair copy of the Children's Album was begun, it seems, on 13/25 July.

By 20 July/1 August the copying out was completed, and on 21 July/2 August the composer told Nadezhda von Meck that he was working on the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom.

On 29 July/10 August the manuscript of the Children's Album, along with a number of other compositions, was sent to Pyotr Jurgenson in Moscow. In October, after the proofs had been corrected, the album was published.

P.S.- Other than a modest suggestion for an interpretation, this arrangements remain absolute faithful to the original composition.

The first version is in the original key of g minor, the second is transposed to „a minor“, the third one is intended for a little lap harp and transposed to d minor. It sounds better in the original key of g minor. I used a lot the d minor version and performed it with my little harp very often, always experiencing a very deep musical feedback.

A little nuance was added to the arrangements, thus obliged by its minimal use on the original manuscripts.

I included the original long and expressive leggato bows and left out the staccatos for the left hand between the bars 17 and 20. I felt somehow awkward when applying this technic on the harp myself.

May be the staccatos suites you best, and you should try it.

The score was written on Finale.

The sound file was produced with samplers from Garritan,

intended as an audio support for the presentation of the score.

A reproduction of Tchaikovsky`s original manuscript is added to the file as a reference to the original sources of this composition, it is an extra bonus intentionally didactic and obviously not included in the price of the arrangement itself.

Thank you very much for taking your time to read this text and to listen to the file.

I hope you enjoy the music.

The Children's Album is dedicated to Tchaikovsky's favorite nephew, Vladimir Davydov. Harp - Advanced Intermediate - Digital Download Arranged by Darhon Res- Rohrbacher. Classical Period. 63 pages. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp
Your audiences will love these popular classics! These beloved melodies have been arranged in progressive key order so that the book can be played as a continuous set of background music at a gig. However, individual tunes may be selected as separate musical renditions and selections omitted as desired. These arrangements strive to capture the "flavor" of the original source works and yet retain a strong melodic component. The selections are derived from orchestral, opera, operetta and art song compositions. Attempting to transfer them to the harp is a challenge due to the unique characteristics of the instrument. Some liberties had to be taken in order to avoid unusual key modulations or chromaticism of the original works. In some instances, a separate pedal and lever harp arrangement are provided for a more satisfactory performance. Harp - Easy/Beginner - Digital Download Arranged by Ray Pool. Method, Technique Training. 90 pages. Published by Afghan Press Music for the Harp
This is a study of ear training through melodic development. Small melodic fragments from familiar nursery rhymes, folk, patriotic and hymns tunes are used. The numbers 1 through 7 are used instead of using ?Do, Re, Mi?? to identify the notes in the scale. Melodies are categorized by range, beginning with a range of only three notes, progressing through a total of nine categories. Skills in ear training are highly useful to musicians who might be asked to take requests at hotels, parties and restaurants, or those involved in harp therapy. With the melodic fragments that are the focus of study, performance by ear can be highly strengthened and developed. Table of Contents: All Through the Night, Amazing Grace, America, Angels from the Realms of Glory, Angels We Have Heard on High, Au Clare de la Lune, Away in a Manger, Be Thou My Vision, Billy Boy, Cindy, Clementine, Day is Done (Taps), Down in the Valley, Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes, For He's a Jolly Good Fellow, Frere Jacques, Go Tell Aunt Rhody, Go Tell It On the Mountain, Goin' Home, Good King Wenceslas, He's Got the Whole World in His Hands, Here We Come A'Wassailing, Home on the Range, Home Sweet Home, Hot Cross Buns, I'm a Little Teapot, Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Kumbayah, Lightly Row, London Bridge, Lonesome Valley, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Michael Row the Boat Ashore, Morning Has Broken, My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Ode to Joy, Oh Susanna, Oh How Lovely is the Evening, Old Folks at Home, Old Hundredth, On Top of Old Smokey, Over the River and Through the Woods, Row Row Row Your Boat, Shenandoah, Silent Night, Skip to my Lou, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, The Farmer in the Dell, The First Nowell, The Harp that Once Thro' Tara's Halls, The Star Spangled Banner, This Old Man, Three Blind Mice, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, We Wish You Merry Christmas, When the Saints Go Marching In.This is a study of ear training through melodic development.
