The rest are key of C. No accidentals, busy left hand, tempo changes in some selections. It really suits the peaceful nature of the harp and will bring so much comfort to those who hear you play it! You can do many things to take this piece to the next level in terms of timing and making it sound as musical as possible. Difficulty Level and Skills Required: Late-Intermediate. The right hand plays the melody line embellished with chords underneath, along with a couple of thumb slides and quick placing. The left hand has more challenging cross-unders with 10th intervals, brush muffles, and several lever changes. Both hands do some jumping between registers, and there are many rolled chords and some tempo changes throughout the piece.Type of Harp: Big harp version is for 33-string harps and larger. Small harp version is for 26 string harps and larger.Range: For big harps: the lowest note is C, two octaves below middle C. The highest note is G, two and a half octaves above middle C. For small harps: the lowest note is C, one octave below middle C. The highest note is G, two and a half octaves above middle C.Levers/Pedals: In the key of C major. Published by Beka Wilson (A0.1465283). I had a burr under my saddle to write a Celtic-sounding wedding song using the familiar fourth interval we hear at the beginning of Here Comes the Bride. Of course, playing with this in Dorian produced a lovely, rich melody and harmony, but further experimentation led me to a lighter-toned version of that same melody in Mixolydian. Thus, the idea of separating the song into Groom and Bride sections was born. Each section is ABA format, with the same A part in the respective modes, but their B part differs slightly. The third section (the Couple) utilizes the Groom's A part and the Bride's B part, symbolizing how a man and woman unite their lives as part of their wedding vows. Level: intermediate (12/8 time signature, no lever/pedal changes)Length: approximately 3 to 3.5 minutes, depending on tempo

This solo harp arrangement of Arrietty's Song from Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli's film The Secret World of Arrietty is wonderfully versatile, while preserving the key and overall character of Cecile Corbel's original piece. It can be played on a lever harp as small as 26 strings, with the lowest note being the C below middle C and the highest being the third G above middle C. It only requires one lever (the A below middle C) to be moved to effectively simulate the chorus key change. It captures both the iconic original celtic harp part, as well as the full melody (with Japanese lyrics taken into account), and also the building/shifting energy that the original piece achieved by adding additional instruments. I think it also successfully solves the problem of remaining interesting and dynamic throughout despite the song being so repetitive. In short, I am particularly proud of this arrangement.In part because it is so note-y, and because it just keeps moving with no room to rest or breathe, this is definitely one of the harder and more advanced pieces I have arranged for small/lap lever harp. It would still sound nice played under tempo, but you will need to maintain a consistent rhythm throughout. I advise practicing the left hand as blocked chords and paying particular attention to the right-hand octaves in the second rendition of the chorus.Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. I play this piece on a 38 strings harp tuned in Eb, the lowest note is B0 and the highest is D6. But music is not rigid, you can adapt it to your harp (and send me a video I want to see !!) I like to think it gives spooky filmscore / Wednesday Addams vibes, with a neoclassical air, while still remaining very accessible to a less-experienced musician with a small, simple, or budget instrument.It is in the key of A minor (i.e. no sharps or flats) with no lever changes. It should also already fit the range of most common small harp models, including Harpsicle harps (even if your model has no levers!), Roosebeck Pakistani harps (it goes no lower than the F below middle C), Harp-E harps (it goes no higher than your high E), Dusty Strings Ravenna, Musicmakers Sonnet Lap Harp, and others. It can also, obviously, be played on any and all larger harp models.Played at full-speed, some of the turn-arounds in the right-hand, as well as the octave jump in the middle, can prove tricky (as you can see from my own playing in the video!). But played under tempo and more expressively, it could be accessible even to beginner/early-intermediate harpists, so long as you are learning to replace fingers and change directions.Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score. When you download your purchase, you will recieve a pdf that contains both the preview and the full score.Also note: If the preview shows a 4/4 timing, this is a software rendering error. I have already uploaded a new pdf with the correct preview, in 3/4 waltz time. But know, in the meantime, that the actual, full score itself is, and has always been, rendered correctly in 3/4 timing.

He lived between 1670 - 1738. I Arranged this piece for a lap harp, added some chords to be performed with the left hand and a few ornaments where introduced. Easy to perform in all kinds of events. So I decided to publish the work. It has a dance like structure and a nostalgic character, it can be played faster or slower and it is easy to learn.
