Dan Fogelberg's unofficial theme for the Kentucky Derby was recorded in 1981 and released in 1982. It is arranged for mountain dulcimer in 1-5-8 or DAD tuning. The arrangement makes use of a 1 and 0 fret, making it somewhat chromatic.
