The movie was a musical Western, starring Presley as Clint Reno, a young man who falls in love with his brotherâ€™s fiancÃ©e after the brother is presumed dead in the Civil War. The non-jazz improvisation series is a concept that germinated in Dick Weissman's mind while he was attending music school.
