Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.859659 Composed by Sydney Stevens. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk,New Age. 6 pages. Sydney Stevens, Water Music #2942883. Published by Sydney Stevens, Water Music (A0.859659). Contact: sydneystevenspianostudio@gmail.comCycles of Life: Emotional, heartfelt piano/vocal composed by Sydney Stevens (ASCAP). Sheet music arrangement is for piano/vocal/chords.Sounds like: Loreena McKennitt, Lucy Kaplansky, Giorgia FumantiFrom Album: Cycles of Life Theme: The only constant in life is change. Appropriate for the loss of a loved one.Mood: Contemplative, soulful, reflective.Musical Traits: Strong melody, gorgeous arrangement.Performance Time: 3:55.Sydney Stevens music is available on: Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, AllMusicMore Links: www.sydneystevenswatermusic.com http://www.linkedin.com/in/sydney-stevens-532a113aBIOGRAPHY:Sydney Stevens began writing melodies on the piano before she could reach the pedals. Her earliest memory was watching her mother play classical piano. She began piano lessons at the age of 8, and started composing shortly thereafter.Stevens approaches her compositions as an artist. She paints musical portraits of the things that bring meaning to life: relationship to living things, emotional healing, discovering what matters most and honoring that as best we are able. Stevens' beautiful piano-based music aligns one with their own heart. Although some of her music can be described as New Age, her roots are heavily based in classical and jazz. Her study of classical composition makes her music more complex than some New Age music. Her music has been likened to the impressionistic composers such as Claude Debussy. Sydney's formal training is also reflected in her ability to compose for orchestral instruments. Her latest release, Cycles of Life, was solely recorded and produced by Sydney, programming all of the virtual instruments.Sydney has a great love for jazz. Keith Jarrett was an influence on her with his innovative and improvisational piano recordings and performances. She was particularly impressed with the freedom of style he portrayed in his performances. Bill Evans was something Sydney heard played as a young child. Where her mother was a classical pianist, her father was a jazz pianist. Perhaps that's why some of Sydney’s music can be described as a crossover between classical and jazz--remnants from those early years. Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins were big inspirations for Sydney's songwriting. She was especially drawn to the deeply emotional lyrics in many of their songs.Cycles of Life, the title track from Sydney's current release, was composed for her late step dad. The song is about the cycle of birth and death: Cycles of life go on, yet we carry all that we've known and loved through the ages. Time, another track on Sydney's current release, is a song about how time passes more quickly when we are doing something we cherish. Brian's Song, inspired by the loss of her father-in-law, reflects: All that really matters is the way we fill our heart, and the ways that it has loved. Dawn, a track from Sydney's album Seasons, is a beautiful piano-based instrumental with light string background. It portrays that very peaceful hour as the sun slowly lights up the world -- the hour of dawn.Sydney is a poet. She sees the world through a heart that feels the joy and sorrow of the world and those she meets. Her gift is the ability to transfer that emotion into music. Listening to her music is like taking a journey. She delves into depths of emotion, often taking the listener to places that can be dif.

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1022081 Composed by Bill Taylor and Jaye Alison Moscariello, lyrics and Bill Taylor music. Contemporary,Jazz,Sacred. 7 pages. William R Taylor #6475263. Published by William R Taylor (A0.1022081). Nature’s Dream (©2012) – Piano, Vocal, Flute, Soprano Sax, Upright Bass. The first several bars came to me in a 2011 vivid dream in which Paul McCandless was playing soaring soprano sax melodies and Jaye Alison Moscariello was singing lyrics I did not remember from the dream. It was originally in D with some Dad-related chord progressions. This version is in A to better fit the alto voice. After writing 3 verses of rather convoluted lyrics about healing the planet, Jaye helped pare it down to one powerful verse that could be a world anthem. George and Paul play solos during the instrumental break. We think this would make a great national, or international, anthem. This is our planet, the one that we all share Let us remember that all life breathes the air Our world is sacred, its future in our trust And it continues after bodies turn to dust Shall we continue to think we own the beasts? Or know the truth that all of us share the feast? Grow for each other and for the creatures too Plant life and fungi nourish the whole zoo Lessons we’ve learned from species that have passed Transform our ways or we may not last Take time to learn what ancestors teach us Honor the spirit residing in that which feeds us Act for the future of seven generations And together we can share in this dance of life Act for the future of seven generations Act for the welfare of seven generations

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1262040 Composed by Phil Rawle. Classical,Contemporary,Folk. 3 pages. Phillip Rawle #855098. Published by Phillip Rawle (A0.1262040). ‘The Wildflower’s Song’ speaks of the joy that can come with simplicity and being grounded in the things that matter. By keeping the right priorities and a good mind frame, beauty can be found in the less polished parts of life, and with that idea in mind, there is no need to let “scorn†hinder a positive attitude that is linked to good things. This “Wild Flower†is a representation of a thriving, enduring mindset that can be achieved through those right priorities—that even with “scorn,†there can be “joy.†A song for Alto Solo with Piano accompaniment.

DF McCorkle Music and eBook Publications #11767. Published by DF McCorkle Music and eBook Publications (A0.784838). CUT FROM SHOW: I Can See. The King, by Dennis McCorkle, is a contemporary pop-rock musical of the first two kings of Israel, Saul ben Kish and David ben Jesse and explores the contrasting lives and outcome of each man’s choices in life. [1 Samuel 28:7-18 - Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee. And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? And Saul sware to her by Yahweh, saying, As Yahweh liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing. Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel. And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself. And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing Yahweh is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy? And Yahweh hath done to him, as he spake by me: for Yahweh hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David: Because thou obeyedst not the voice of Yahweh, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath Yahweh done this thing unto thee this day. Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1096313 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Chamber,Classical,Singer/Songwriter. 4 pages. David Warin Solomons #700277. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.1096313). This manuscript is the origin of the flute and guitar piece To Marie ( https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/19984390?aff_id=175705 ). It has not been notated on computer, and not yet recorded, but I present it here just for interest. As you can see, it takes advantage of the many puns available on the French phrase for weeping willow. It is addressed to the poet Marie Keyser. The references to Chatterton, Enderby and Buddenbrooks relate to Marie's studies in German literature, in particular Chatterton's suicide. To Marie Sad soul, why don't you weep in company? Saule pleureur, seule pleureuse Why luxuriate in your nomadic liturgy? Saoule pluvieuse, seule pleureuse. The others do not seek to understand The power that holds you ever banned Sales pleurs de sel pluvieux A unicorn has carried off your innocence Saule pleureur, seule pleureuse But no ambition comes to conquer indigence Saoule pluvieuse, seule pleureuse. So on you wander, homeless poetess, Begging shelter for your misconstrued distress Sales pleurs de sel pluvieux. Hold down a job, my girl, hold down a job from nine to five. Souple leurre s'il le peut To keep you happy, settled and alive Saule pleureur For this short time - day in day out Forget you do not know what life's about Sales pleurs de ciel plus vieux. And then, when evening comes, too tired Saule pleureur, seule pleureuse. Your sad old inspiration all expired Saoule pluvieuse, seule pleureuse. You will cease to understand the power that held you forever banned. Souple leurre s'il le peut. No, in the name of Chatterton and Enderby! For who could wilful poetry's defender be? Long live poor Buddenbrooks and poor Marie With mind or body hopelessly at sea. Saules pleureurs, seuls plus vieux.

Alto Voice,Vocal Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1492563 Composed by Thomas Moore. Arranged by Alex Nunes Rodrigues. Folk. 2 pages. Alex Rodrigues #1069242. Published by Alex Rodrigues (A0.1492563). The Last Rose of Summer is a work deeply rooted in Irish culture, originally penned as a poem by the renowned poet and composer Thomas Moore in 1805. Moore, regarded as Ireland’s national poet, was inspired by an 'Old Blush' rose while staying at Jenkinstown Castle in County Kilkenny, Ireland. The poem was published as part of his Irish Melodies collection between 1807 and 1834, and later set to music by fellow Irishman John Stevenson. The song gained widespread popularity and was incorporated into the opera Martha by the German composer Friedrich von Flotow, which premiered in 1847 in Vienna. This sheet music has been adapted for voice and piano, preserving the original melody true to the composition by Moore and Stevenson. The piano arrangement has been simplified to provide an accessible experience for music teachers who, even without extensive piano skills, wish to accompany their students. This arrangement maintains the melodic and emotional essence of the piece, offering a version that honors its traditional nuances while making it approachable for beginner to intermediate musicians. The Last Rose of Summer captures the essence of melancholy and the passage of time—universal themes reflected in the farewell to the last vestige of a vibrant summer. The melody, paired with Moore’s poetry, evokes a profound sense of loss and longing, with the solitary rose serving as a metaphor for the fleeting nature of life and the seasons. The simplicity and beauty of this piece have made it a classic, both in literature and music, perpetuating Irish tradition and touching the hearts of listeners worldwide.

Published by Alex Rodrigues (A0.1492534).
