O'Connor learned this tune from fiddling legend Benny Thomasson at an early age. Thomasson developed the parts of the tune as incorporated in this arrangement. O'Connor added a variation to each of the Thomasson parts in addition. After Meyer finished out the arrangement with his bass lines, College Hornpipe has a new and different life from the one found on the early O'Connor recording Soppin' The Gravy. The trio performed the piece for a nation-wide television audience at President's Clinton Inaugural Gala. The music is suited for advanced and intermediate levels. It is the melody for many well-known hymns, including Come, O Spirit, Dwell Among Us, Let My People Seek Their Freedom, O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus, Once to Every Man and Nation, and Thy Strong Word Did Cleave the Darkness. Ebenezer is arranged here as an Intermediate String Trio for First and Second Violin and Cello. The second violin part is also suitable for Viola. This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available to the public for the first time. The Coronation March was ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883. It was written during March of 1883 and was performed for the first time on June 4, 1883 in Sokolniky Park in Moscow, conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music then included excerpts of the anthem, God Save the Tsar. The American premiere was on May 5, 1891, for the opening concert of Carnegie Hall in New York City, conducted by Tchaikovsky himself. During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem. Starting with Dmitri Medvedev's inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president, and ends well before the playing in this piece of the Tsarist anthem God Save the Tsar. Unlike Tchaikovsky's other major compositions, the Coronation March does not have an opus number. It has been given alternative catalogue designations TH 50 and CW 47. Tchaikovsky's Coronation March was originally scored for a full orchestra and written in the key of D Major. Regis Bookshar has now created an abbreviated version, written in Db Major, and has arranged it for a String Octet, consisting of 4 Violins, 2 Violas and 2 Violoncellos. Händel's Opera pieces - Voice 2 for violaThis score include the Voice 2 for viola partFirst of all, I apologize for my english language mistakes !!The repertoire included in Händel's Opera pieces is the culmination of a process of searching for musical material in Händel's opera repertoire, which can be used at the same time, outside of its original compositional context, exclusively exalting its beauty as well as the genius of the its composer Georg Friedrich Handel.The conditions that all the pieces of the volume had to fulfill were the following:- To have a short duration to be used as teaching material in subjects of baroque technique and chamber music, collective subjects or even chamber orchestra subjects.- They can be interpreted in trio chamber formations in the following combinations:Voice 1 Violin, flute, oboe or clarinet.Voice 2 Violin, viola, flute, oboe or clarinet.Voice3 Violin, viola, cello, bassoon, flute, oboe or clarinet. They are of limited technical complexity in order to allow the performers to participate and at the same time enjoy listening the polyphony and counterpoint of Handel's compositional style.This collection of 27 pieces have been mostly selected from Handel's vast opera production (44 operas or so depending on the criteria to be considered as operas or oratories) and the most beautiful (but not famous), adapted to three-voice trio formations.The pieces included are the following1. It may be played as a chamber piece in a smaller room or venue, or as a concert piece. Two or three of each instrument would give the piece depth of tone.
