In the summer of 1888, Edward Elgar's fianc�e (and pupil) Caroline Alice Roberts surprised him with the poem 'Love's Grace' written by herself. During a holiday, the composer re-membered the lines and composed, as a little present in return, 'greetings of love' for piano. One year later, the miniature, Edward Elgar's first published work, was published by Schott. The world premiere was Elgar's breakthrough as a composer. The string trio arrangement of this still popular work offers the players a rewarding task and guarantees enjoyable music-making.

This song is loads of fun! The arrangement is rhythmically challenging for all instruments, requiring the ensemble (string trio with violin, viola and cello parts) to work together closely to accomplish a steady beat. The melody is mostly in the violin part, but is taken over by both viola and cello in parts of the song. This version of "Get Lucky" runs just short of 2.5 minutes.

It allows the string trio to sound its best, creating its own, more meditative mood. The arrangement is suitable for professionals playing concerts or weddings, and will work as well for intermediate players and in school settings.
