This instrumental setting of Bon Iver's "Holocene" will be an excellent addition to your quartet's gig book. The first violin gracefully drifts in and out of Justin Vernon's haunting melodies, while role of the acoustic guitar ostinato from the album version is filled by a 2-part pizzicato figure between Violin 2 and Viola, enabling your string quartet to perform this chart without the need for any additional musicians or tracks.

Extended techniques including chopping and artificial harmonics are used to emulate the unique production style of Bon Iver's recording. "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" was recorded by Aerosmith for the smash hit 1998 film Armageddon, and it immediately became a huge success. The soulful power ballad debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts, where it remained for 4 weeks, and it remains the band's biggest hit to this day; and of course it's still a very popular request for slow dances and weddings. As the cellist for Aerosmith's Las Vegas residency show, I've performed this song with the band over 40 times, so this one has a special place in my heart! This arrangement for string quartet maintains the beautiful harmonic layers, soaring melodies and countermelodies, driving beat, and dynamic passion of the original, for a chart that your audience will love listening to as much as you love playing it! It has since been recorded by several notable country artists, but the most commercially successful of these was Chris Stapleton, whose version shot to the top of the charts and was certified platinum after he performed it with Justin Timberlake at the Country Music Association awards. This Cellobat arrangement for string quartetwas originally commissioned for a wedding ceremony, and it maintains the beautiful melodic lines, lush harmonic layers, passionate dynamic changes, and steady groove of the original. This sweet and slow country love song describes how love can lift you out of a dark place in your life, so of course it will be perfect not just for weddings, but for receptions, proposals, cocktail hour, parties, and any other occasion you want your audience to start slow-dancing! Stevie Wonder?s classic song, Signed, Sealed, Delivered I?m Yours, arranged for string quartet by Tim Crooks. This song is a great choice for weddings and often accompanies the bride and groom out of the wedding ceremony. It?s also a very approachable arrangement for student groups and is a good choice selection for ensembles developing jazz rhythms.

"Best Part" was released as a collaborative single in 2017 by Canadian singer Daniel Caesar and American singer H.E.R. The song's beautiful, ethereal vibe and soaring, intertwining melodies made it an instant hit, garnering the Soul Train Music Award for Best Collaboration and a Grammy award for Best RandB Performance. And with its dreamy, love-struck lyrics, it's also a great song to have in your wedding gig books! Originally commissioned for a wedding ceremony, this string quartet arrangement of "Best Part" maintains the lush harmonic layers, intriguing countermelodies, and laid-back soulful groove of the original -- you're sure to capture your audience's heart. "All Of The Lights" is considered by many to be one of Kanye West's great masterpieces of music. With its detailed production and many layers of instruments, vocals, and effects, the powerful song was critically acclaimed upon its release in 2011 and ended up winning two Grammy awards. Many people have no idea how to translate this song for strings, resulting in charts that make no musical sense or "abridged" versions that just repeat the first minute and call it a day.
