by Sarah ChaffeeIndie pop singer Ruelle began her career as a country rock artist, but ended up switching to a more cinematic electro-pop style of music. With her songs featured on dozens of TV shows and movies, she has become a cult favorite artist, and her song "I Get To Love You" is (so far!) her biggest hit on the Billboard charts. The song has since become a wedding-music staple - in fact, this arrangement was originally commissioned for a bride's processional. Perfect for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and even proposals, this arrangement for string quartet maintains the beautiful layered harmonies and string lines of the original song, with the underlying heartbeat of the piano line represented in the violin parts. Playable for students and sightreadable for professionals - rated advanced intermediate only for a handful of unusual rhythms and the left-hand stamina the violinists will need for the etude-like piano line! :)
