Classical,Holiday,Multicultural,Wedding,World. 25 pages. Sherry Lewis Publishing #6132895. Published by Sherry Lewis Publishing (A0.521482). Symphony No. 5, Mov. I, Allegro con brio (abridged), Beethoven, String Quartet of 2 violins, viola and celloScore: Score: 11 pagesThis was a really fun project. It's approx. 5 min. 30 seconds and I think that the cut I took after the repeat works really well. I think it's a fun listen too. I hope you like it! parts: 12 pages time: 5:30 MY QUARTET VERSIONS, in short notice work fine for solo, two parts and three parts however I also offer individual versions for one, two and three parts that are more detailed for these ensembles. Please visit https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=sherry+lewis+publishing for all of the titles I offer. If you can’t find a title then contact me through stringquartet@hotmail.com and I’ll give you the link back to Sheet Music Plus’s listing. VERSATILE Titles that include four parts are written with the idea that they can be performed with 1, 2, 3 or 4 musicians. Most of the contemporary/popular titles include a chord chart for a bass instrument. PRACTICE needs would vary according to the level of the performers but my goal is to be sight-readable for most performers and groups. AUDIO SAMPLE The 30 second mp3 is frequently shortened and may not start at the introduction to get to the reprise. The actual introduction will be in the sheet music. LISTENABILITY I have performed thousands of weddings and special events. I make it a goal for the music to carry as well as possible through loud and large space situations. ARRANGEMENTS usually follow the original version. There is an mp3 where you can hear 30 seconds and get a feeling of the originality of the work. EXCELLENT for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings and recitals. APPROPRIATE for students and schools. CHURCH REPERTOIRE I’m always adding more titles. Thank you for your purchase!

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1156596 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Adrian Gagiu. Baroque,Chamber. 48 pages. Adrian Gagiu #756920. Published by Adrian Gagiu (A0.1156596). Handel’s great set of 12 Concerti grossi (= Grand Concertos, in the first edition) op. 6 are somehow a bit related in spirit, through their power and diversity, with Beethoven’s string quartets. Therefore, here they are arranged for the more ‘abstract’ and ‘timeless’ medium of the string quartet, allowing also for an addition to the repertoire of the respective ensembles. Articulation, tempo and dynamics indications were specified or added where needed, and all the trills were indicated to start with the upper auxiliary note, not only according to the Baroque performance practice but also fitting to the melodic contour. Concerto grosso in A major, op. 6 no. 11: 1. Andante larghetto – solemn, complex introduction, like in a French overture; 2. Allegro – one of his best movements, a short and exhilarating fugue; 3. Largo-Andante molto mosso – slow and dramatic introduction, then soothing and elaborate; 4. Allegro – joyful and enthusiastic. The mp3 audio clip is the second movement. Total duration: 16 min 30 sec. Performing Rights Organization: SOCAN.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1419797 By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Pop,Rock,Wedding. 13 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #1001215. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1419797). In My Life is a song that truly needs no introduction! Released by the Beatles on their 1965 album Rubber Soul, this song was a milestone for John Lennon -- it was the first time he'd ever written about his own life, describing his childhood experiences and the people and places he'd encountered along the way. The song soon became widely beloved around the world, and to this day, it's still one of the most iconic Beatles hits; it was even named by Mojo magazine as the greatest song of all time! And with lyrics like But of all these friends and lovers, there is no one compares to you, it's also become one of the most popular wedding requests of all time -- so you really can't go wrong adding this one to your gig books! This Cellobat arrangement for your string quartet brings the original to life with beautiful lush harmonies, soaring melodies, and even the Bach-style interlude in the middle, for a chart that will be just as much fun to play as it is to listen to! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this will also be perfect for receptions, cocktail hour, parties, solo & ensemble contest, or any other occasion you need to bring a smile to your audience's face. Rated intermediate; this will be learnable for students and sightreadable for professionals.Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Currently, she performs with legendary rock band Aerosmith in their “Deuces Are Wild†residency show, and she is the principal cellist for the Raiders House Band, playing for a crowd of 60,000 at all of the team's home games. She also plays with many other groups including Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, the Femmes Of Rock, and David Perrico’s Pop Strings Orchestra. Sarah has performed and recorded with numerous other artists including Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Halsey, Michael Bublé, Sarah Brightman, and Lady A. She is the exclusive arranger for a number of award-winning wedding and event companies all across the United States, including Premiere Wedding Music, Las Vegas Music Oasis, and Impulse Strings, and she has created custom arrangements for many other ensembles all over the world. String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.977361 Composed by John Barry. Arranged by Des McNutty. Contemporary. Score and parts. 14 pages. Des Press #6857803. Published by Des Press (A0.977361). Do you expect me to talk? No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die! It's hard to get more iconic than Sean Connery as James Bond in the 1964 blockbuster, Goldfinger, with Gert Fröbe in the title role.John Barry composed the metal-heavy score and the title song. It was his personal favorite.Barry named Shirley Bassey as the ideal interpretrix for Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley's lyrics with her can belto delivery. Nobody could have sung it like her; she had that great dramatic sense. he said. But the name-dropping doesn't end there: The session producer at Abbey Road Studios was George Martin (who produced for The Beatles). Strumming away on guitars are John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page, who later became half of rock legends Led Zeppelin. That's a whole lotta awesome! This arrangement for string quartet is a relatively straight-forward idiomatic transcription but transposed to the tonality of the sheet music published in 1964. The recording with Shirley Bassey is a semitone lower. The level is intermediate in a technical sense but please pay attention to style. Try to leave your audience emotionally stirred, not shaken. Enjoy!

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven for String Ensemble

String Quartet Cello,Double Bass,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download …

String Quartet Cello,Double Bass,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173852 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Ander. Christmas,Classical,Instructional,March,Romantic Period. 12 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #774005. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.1173852). This arrangement adapted for string ensemble was designed to make its listeners weep with emotion, because the adaptation preserves the original essence of the work, keeping its integrity faithful to what Beethoven wanted to transmit, with only a slight change in tone and addition of harmonic resources in the structure of the arrangement. Even though it is a funeral march, it is well suited for any musical performance occasion, being intended for beginner students who want to immerse themselves in the universe of romantic music, and nothing better than starting with the transitional composer of this period, which also does not prevent professional teachers from using it for recitals, academic presentations or didactic material in their classes as an ensemble practice.Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C minor sharp, Op. 27, No. 2, is one of his most popular compositions and was an audience favorite even in his day. Written when Beethoven was 31, the Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate in German) was composed after he finished some commissioned works, but there is no evidence that he was hired to write this work. It did not receive its nickname until 1832, five years after Beethoven's death. It was the critic Ludwig Rellstab who compared the music to a moonlighting on Lake Lucerne. This comparison was adopted as a nickname for the work. Called Quasi una fantasia by the author - like its companion Op. 27, No. 1 - the piece was completed in 1801 and dedicated the following year to one of the composer's pupils. Beethoven chose to open the sonata with a slow, hypnotic arpeggio movement, the best known of the entire work. The dotted rhythm of its minimal melody evokes the tradition of 'Trauermusik' (funeral music).

Mozart: Sonata K. 284 “Durnitz” for String Quartet
Quatuor à cordes: 2 violons, alto, violoncelle
String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1…
(+)
String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1202033 Composed by W. A. Mozart (1756 – 1791). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Traditional,Wedding. 94 pages. Jmsgu3 #800635. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1202033). Sonata No. 6, “Durnitz†for String Quartet Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, also known as the Durnitz Sonata, is a solo piano piece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775. It is one of Mozart's more complex and ambitious sonatas and is generally regarded as one of his greatest works for the instrument. The sonata is divided into three movements:1.   Allegro - The first movement is a fast-paced and energetic sonata-allegro form characterized by its lively theme and virtuosic passages. The movement begins with a bold and dramatic opening statement, followed by contrasting themes and variations. The development section explores new harmonic and rhythmic territory, while the recapitulation brings the movement full circle with a restatement of the main themes.2.   Rondeau en Polonaise - The second movement is a graceful and elegant rondo in the style of a polonaise, a popular dance of the time. The central theme is a lilting melody first presented by the right hand and then repeated with variations throughout the movement. The middle section features a contrasting theme in a minor key, which is then developed and expanded upon in the latter half of the movement.3.   Theme and Variations - The final movement is a set of six variations on a theme, which is introduced at the beginning of the movement. Each variation explores a different aspect of the theme, from playful embellishments to dramatic flourishes. The final variation brings the piece to a rousing and triumphant close.Overall, Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, is a masterful example of the composer's virtuosity and innovation and remains a beloved and influential work in the piano repertoire. Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284 is also known as the Dürnitz Sonata because it is believed to have been composed for Count Johann Joseph Anton von Dürnitz, an accomplished amateur flutist who was a patron of Mozart. Mozart was in Munich in 1775, and he met Dürnitz there. According to Mozart's letters to his father, Dürnitz played the flute very well, and Mozart was impressed by his abilities. It is believed that Mozart composed this sonata specifically for Dürnitz, who may have performed it with Mozart accompanying him on the piano. No concrete evidence supports the theory that the sonata was named after Dürnitz, but it is widely accepted as the most likely explanation for the nickname. In any case, the sonata remains one of Mozart's most popular and beloved works.

String Quartet - Intermediate - Digital Download By The Backstreet Boys. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Score, Set of Parts. 18 pages. Published by Sarah Chaffee
"I Want It That Way" is one of the Backstreet Boys' biggest hits, and anyone who grew up in the 90's and early 2000's probably knows this one by heart! This version for string quartet will be perfect for pop concerts, solo & ensemble concerts, weddings, receptions, and any other occasion that needs some boy band throwback nostalgia - you're sure to get everyone singing along! Full of catchy melodies, beautiful layered harmonies, and a danceable groove held down by the viola and cello, this arrangement is just as much fun to listen to as it is to play. Rated intermediate - there's nothing very difficult in this chart (except possibly intonation when the key changes to B major at the end!), and it will definitely be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals.<br> <br> Why choose Cellobat Charts arrangements? For any musician who knows what they're doing, the answer is easy: just listen to them. Every freelance musician has thrown hard-earned money away on questionable, error-filled charts by unknown arrangers from weird corners of the Internet. But watch out -- inferior arrangements not only make gigs less enjoyable to play, but they also make your group sound bad to your client and audience, no matter how great your players really are. That's why Cellobat Charts is here: to provide students and working string players alike with high-quality versions of highly requested music. My arrangements are guaranteed to be energetic, fun to play, and enjoyable to listen to, whether or not you're familiar with the original songs. Hear the difference for yourself! Full videos of many Cellobat Charts arrangements are available on YouTube so you know exactly what you're getting. Click "Watch" near the item details at the top of the page for full video of "I Want It That Way." Crowd pleasing guaranteed.<br> <br> Sarah "Cellobat" Chaffee earned her bachelor's degree in cello performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is now based in Las Vegas. She currently performs with Aerosmith in their "Deuces Are Wild" residency at The Park MGM Theater on the Las Vegas Strip. String Quartet String Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1257044 Composed by Guillaume de Machaut, 1300-1377. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Chamber,Contest,Early Music,Festival,Historic,Medieval. 38 pages. Jmsgu3 #850380. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1257044). 1. Kyrie2. Gloria3. Credo4. Sanctus5. Agnus dei6. Ite missa estGuillaume de Machaut composed the Messe de Nostre Dame, also known as the Mass of Our Lady, in the early 1360s. He wrote the mass for the Cathedral at Reims, where he served as a canon, a permanent clergy member. According to a rubric found at the Cathedral, it would have likely been performed for the Saturday Lady Mass. Guillaume de Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is significant in the history of music for several reasons: It is the first complete setting of the Ordinary of the Mass by a single composer that has survived. It is a unified mass, meaning that the composer selected relevant chants for each section as the borrowed tenor. It was composed in four voices, which was unusual at the time. The texts of both Gloria and Credo are quite lengthy, and therefore Machaut set these movements in a style reminiscent of the earlier discant style, having short phrases, similar rhythmic motion in all parts, and a low ratio of notes per syllable of text, both ending with long, rhapsodic sections for the final word, Amen. Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is a landmark in musical history, but it is far from being avant-garde merely for the sake of uniqueness. It is considered to be a culmination of the musical style of the Ars Nova period, which was characterized by complex polyphonic textures and rhythmic innovations. The mass is also significant because it was composed during a time of great political and social upheaval in Europe, and it reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during this period. Overall, Machaut's Messe de Nostre Dame is a significant work that represents a culmination of the musical style of the Ars Nova period and reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during the 14th century. The mass consists of five movements: Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, and Agnus Dei, followed by the dismissal Ite, missa est. The tenor of the Kyrie is based on Vatican Kyrie IV, the Sanctus, and Agnus correspond to Vatican Mass XVII, and the Ite is on Sanctus VIII. The Gloria and Credo have no apparent chant basis, although they are stylistically related to one another. The mass is a unified mass, meaning that the composer selected relevant chants for each section as the borrowed tenor. The Messe de Nostre Dame is significant in the history of music because it is the first complete setting of the Ordinary of the Mass by a single composer that has survived. It is also significant because it was composed during a time of great political and social upheaval in Europe, and it reflects the changing attitudes towards religion and music during this period. Overall, the Messe de Nostre Dame was an important part of the liturgical practices of the time, and it is still regarded as a masterpiece of medieval music and of all religious music.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1192354 Composed by Martin Shaw and Percy Dearmer. Arranged by Gayle Gould. 19th Century,Children,Christian,Christmas,Historic. 22 pages. Gayle Gould #791785. Published by Gayle Gould (A0.1192354). A happy and fun string quartet arrangement, approximately Grade 4, of a popular early-American Christmas carol originating in England, with sources placing it at various dates and locales. Given the cultural setting, and given the popularity of country dances, no doubt at least the children danced to this tune. The carol is also known by the name The First Good Thing That Mary Had, which is the first line of text.PDF contains the full score, individual parts, and a piano reduction provided to give a quick idea of what the arrangement sounds like. The number of verses varies, but one thing is for certain. It's purpose was to teach the story of the Virgin Mary from the birth of Jesus until His glorification in heaven. There are at least seven verses, each one telling Mary's experiences through the life of Christ. No doubt this was used to teach children and others who did not have or could not read the Scriptures.

String Quintet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.901334 Composed by Johann Pachelbel. Arranged by Dan Edwards. Baroque,Holiday,Standards,Wedding. 17 pages. Arr. Dan Edwards #6590467. Published by arr. Dan Edwards (A0.901334). Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, arranged for string quartet, string quintet, or string orchestra by Dan Edwards. Dan is a prize-winning composer and arranger, and was the staff arranger for the Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra for many years. danedwardscreative.com This is an arrangement like no other!Pachelbel's Canon is a hugely popular piece, but unfortunately it was not written for the string quartet. The original is for three violins and basso continuo, so this presents quite a few problems when string quartets attempt to play it. - Firstly, the 'viola' part is extraordinarily high, not only making it very difficult to play, but making that one voice stick out much more than the other three in the highest parts of the piece. Usually the high bits are just transposed down an octave but this isn't very satisfying. My solution in this arrangement is to swap the voices of the canon around so that the viola always plays the lowest part. Have a look at the score to see what I mean - the viola part isn't transposed, but it never goes above an E on the A string. - Secondly, the first two bars should have harmony, as there should be a keyboard instrument accompanying the cello. To compensate for this I've added some simple harmony in small note heads at the start, before each canon entry. - Thirdly, the cellist always gets lost in this piece. I know because I am a cellist and I always get stressed out towards the end of this piece. So I've added a reduced-size violin 1 part to the cello part so the cellist can follow along and know exactly when the piece is going to end! Includes a full score (6 pages), and complete set of parts. Violin 1 - 3 pages. Violin 2 - 3 pages. Viola - 2 pages. Cello/ bass - 3 pages.

Originally inspired by a spiritual, "Stand By Me" was written and recorded in 1961 by famed RandB singer-songwriter Ben E. King. The catchy, soulful tune immediately went to #1 on the RandB charts, and ended up becoming a Top Ten on the Billboard charts twice -- once for its original release, and again in 1986 when it was used as the theme song for a movie of the same name. This song has been deemed "culturally and historically significant" and it has remained one of the most beloved songs in history for decades, so you can't go wrong having this one in your gig books! This Cellobat arrangement for string quartet maintains the fun groove, catchy melody, and joyful feel of the original, while adding in a number of beautiful harmonic and countermelodic layers that put this chart above and beyond the rest! Rated intermediate -- there are some fun syncopated rhythms throughout, but none of the parts go above 2nd position, and this will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. "High Hopes" was released by Panic! At The Disco in 2018 as a single from their sixth studio album, "Pray For The Wicked." This upbeat, catchy song soon became a smash hit, reaching number 4 on the Billboard charts and becoming their highest-charting single of all time. This arrangement for string quartet has the exuberant energy, rich harmonic layers, driving beat, and dynamic impact of the original, and it's absolutely as much fun to play as it is to listen to! Great for parties, corporate events, solo & ensemble contests, or even weddings and receptions, it's a guaranteed crowd pleaser and you're sure to get your audience singing along. This arrangement is dedicated to a good friend of mine who was in P!ATD's string section on their "Pray For The Wicked" tour -- Kiara, it was so much fun watching you play this song with them! Rated intermediate, this chart will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. There is nothing above first position in the V2, viola, and cello parts, and only a few notes higher than that in V1. There are a few tied rhythms in but nothing too complicated.<br> <br> Why choose Cellobat Charts arrangements? For any musician who knows what they're doing, the answer is easy: just listen to them.
