This collection contains 10 favorite hymns arranged as easy instrumental trios (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment). From flowing and peaceful to upbeat and festive, these arrangements are a welcome addition to the repertoire for beginning string students. These familiar hymn arrangements are equally enjoyed whether used for recitals, worship services, or to make practicing more interesting.

All notes for both the VIOLIN and CELLO in each song are playable in the first position making these arrangements an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. This trio arrangement (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment) of the well-known hymn tune NETTLETON is a delightful piece for recitals and worship services. The CELLO and VIOLIN begin the first verse by alternately playing solo. Then the two instruments conclude the first verse by playing 2-part harmony. The second verse builds in intensity with 2-part harmony before returning to a more calming mood for the finale.
