He described the song as perfectly representing what I do best, and his fans agree -- the video has since been viewed over 25 million times! On its way to becoming a wedding classic, this love song describes falling hard for someone at the beginning of a relationship, but also looking forward to a future together as a family with children. This version for solo cello was originally written for a wedding ceremony, but it will also be perfect for receptions, proposals, cocktail hour, pop concerts, solo & ensemble concerts, and any other occasion where you need to pull at your audience's heartstrings! Rated advanced-intermediate only for some tricky rhythms that you might want to take a look at beforehand -- otherwise this chart will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. Sarah “Cellobat†Chaffee is an in-demand acoustic & electric cellist and string arranger. Published by Daniel Hay Music (A0.596426). When composing this solo piece the composer, Daniel Hay was thinking of massive troll-like creatures ponderously stomping around a bonfire. Perhaps the image is better if you think of drunk sumo fighters dancing around rising flames. Most of the time when the composer uses repeats he labels them with an uppercase letter to identify them, followed by a hyphen and a lowercase letter showing where the repeat leads. Occasionally, as in The Dance of the Stone Trolls, there is also a lowercase letter within parentheses which is used to indicate an optional location to repeat from either at the first pass or possible as a second pass. The attached YouTube link is performed on Tenor Recorder by the composer during a rehearsal. The sound file here is presented in Cello voice. Looking forward to hearing a Trombone play this.
