This is a beautiful, playable arrangement for three flutes. Keep in mind that "easy" for one is not necessarily "easy" for another. This is not a "beginner" arrangement. It is an arrangement with less notes in it than the regular arrangement, and easier rhythms where applicable.

The publication consisted of a set of parts each with the title page followed by a copy of the Privil�ge granted by King Louis to Boismortier to print and sell his music.

There are 5 movements, Gravement,Allemande Gayment, Lentement, Gavotte en rondeau & Gayment, The sonata is easily within the ability of players of intermediate standard and will provide enjoyable practice in independent part playing for players of equal ability.

The Sonata could also be played by trios of oboes, clarinets or violins.
