Fat Bottomed Girls is a song by the British rockband Queenand was written by guitarist Brian May. The song is bluesy and opens withits chorus with lush acapella vocals by the band. Oddly enough, my daughter requested that Iarrange the song for her wedding for flute quartet so it could be used for therecessional following the ceremony. Really! I couldn?t make this up.

This arrangement for flute choir can be performed with asfew as 4 players or a full flute choir with multiple players on a part. It is scored for 3 flutes , and either bassflute, alto flute, or c-flute on the 4th part.

Achieving little initial success, the song found greater popular acclaim through a recording by John Cale, which inspired a recording by Jeff Buckley.
