Phil Beaman #5741689. Published by Phil Beaman (A0.844850). Alexandre Guilmant (1837-1911) was a Parisian organist, performer, and composer. This Marche was originally written for organ in his pedagogical books. I have arranged it for Instrumental Quartet in typical Romantic Symphonic style and I have filled it with expressive markings to bring out the incredible drama of this piece. There is a Trio style section in the sub-dominant key which I treat as an instrumental duet. The piece is Advanced Intermediate realizing that it pushes many of the instruments to both extremes of their ranges. It is furthering challenging due to the plethora of romantic accidentals including double sharps and double flats and constant dynamic changes. This piece amply rewards you in the end with a very impressive and dramatic repertoire performance piece.

Now and Then is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 2 November 2023. Dubbed the last Beatles song, it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, Love Me Do (1962), with the two serving as bookends to the band's history. Both songs were included on the expanded re-issues of the 1973 compilations 1962–1966 and 1967–1970, released on 10 November 2023.The song is a psychedelic soft rock ballad that John Lennon wrote in the late 1970s. He recorded a solo five-minute piano demo around 1977 on a tape recorder at his home in the Dakota building in New York City; it was left unfinished. The final version features additional lyrics by McCartney. Lennon's voice was extracted from the demo using the machine-learning-assisted audio restoration technology commissioned by Peter Jackson for his 2021 documentary The Beatles: Get Back. Jackson also directed the music video for Now and Then. The song received much critical acclaim. Bach's Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826, is an essential work for several reasons: Significance in Bach's Oeuvre It is part of Bach's monumental collection of six partitas (suites) for the keyboard, considered among music history's most famous and challenging suites. The partitas were published as Bach's Opus 1 in 1731, showcasing the diversity of forms and ingenious counterpoint in his keyboard writing. Partita No. 2 was one of the earliest partitas to be published individually in 1727, highlighting its significance. Musical Characteristics It opens with a grand Sinfonia movement akin to a French overture, followed by an expressive Andante aria-like movement.
