The Great Escape is a 1963 American film about an escape by Allied prisoners of war from a German POW camp during World War II, starring Steve McQueen, James Garner and Richard Attenborough. The film is based on the book of the same name by Paul Brickhill, a non-fiction first-hand account of the mass escape from Stalag Luft III in Sagan (now Żagań, Poland), in the province of Lower Silesia, Nazi Germany. The story was adapted by James Clavell, W. R. Burnett, and Walter Newman from Paul Brickhill's book The Great Escape. Brickhill had been a prisoner at Stalag Luft III during World War II. This arrangement of the main title theme music from the film is playable by either SSAB or SSSB Clarinet Quartet. It can be included in a variety of concert programs. Duration is 2:10. The theme song from Halloween ranks as one of the creepiest movie theme songs ever. It was first composed in 1978, and is still creeping people out just as strong as ever. Critics have grumbled about it being too simple, but that\\\'s what makes this piece so memorable.

Set at a time signature of 5/4 throughout, this arrangement is scored for Bb clarinets. The 4th part can be played by either a \\\"regular\\\" clarinet or a bass, or a contrabass.

It goes without saying that this piece should be played in a cold and mechanical manner. It definitely isn\\\'t a \\\"pretty\\\" piece. The lower instruments should be strong, while the upper instruments tip toe on top. If you would like to add a little more interest to the piece, an egg shaker could be played at every beat.

This will give your audience the heebie jeebies.

This piece is simple enough for musicians with intermediate skill.

This setting of George Bernard's Classic Hymn, "Old Rugged Cross," for Clarinet quartet/choir takes a completely new approach harmonically in this arrangement. While the famous melody in the 1st clarinet has a few added embellishments, the rest of the ensemble joins with tighter jazz-influenced harmony.

A reflective approach to this piece of music would be extremely rewarding in a worship setting when used either as an offertory or as a lead-in to a music set. While none of the individual parts are particularly challenging, it will still be an exercise in balanced small ensemble playing.

This traditional Greek/Turkish song can be traced back to the 800-900 century. Still it's most famous as the opening title for Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction played by surf guitar-legend Dick Dale.

Main theme from the HBO Series ?Game Of Thrones?, composed by Ramin Djawadi. According to Djawadi, the series creators wanted the main title theme that accompany the ?Game of Thrones? title sequence to be about a journey as there are many locations, characters in the series and involves much traveling. After Djawadi had seen the preliminary animated title sequence the visual effect artists were still working on, he was inspired to write the piece.
