"You Raise Me Up" is a song originally composed by Irish-Norwegian duo Secret Garden. The music was written by Secret Garden's Rolf L�vland and the lyrics by Brendan Graham. The song has been recorded by more than a hundred other artists including Josh Groban, who popularized the song in 2003; his rendition became a hit in the United States. "You Raise Me Up" is sung as a contemporary hymn in church services.

Linus and Lucy is a popular jazz pianocomposition written by Vince Guaraldi, appearing in many of the Peanutsanimated television specials. Named for the fictional siblings Linus and Lucyvan Pelt, it was released in 1964 on the Vince Guaraldi Trio's album Jazz Impressions of a Boy Named CharlieBrown. A Charlie Brown Christmas introduced thesong to a television audience of millions of children beginningin 1965. Since that special, the piece has introduced most of the Peanuts TVcartoons, with the exceptions of the specials and other TV programs producedbetween 1979 and 1992. It is one of the most recognizable pieces by Vince Guaraldi, and hasgained status as the de facto theme song of the Peanuts franchise. In 2019, during my stay at Chapada dos Veadeiros in Goi�s, Brazil, I went in search of the flavor of the local coffee. Xinguara was recommended to me, which inspired me to compose ten songs, this being the first composition in this series. In this version for Clarinet Quartet, the rhythmic and harmonic elements of these two genres, the bai�o and the maxixe, are mixed and result in an interesting conversation between the instruments, alternating their accompaniment and solo functions. A fun, uncomplicated piece that gives the listener the energy of a caf� in the Brazilian cerrado. Try it !!!

The Great Escape is a 1963 American film about an escape by Allied prisoners of war from a German POW camp during World War II, starring Steve McQueen, James Garner and Richard Attenborough. The film is based on the book of the same name by Paul Brickhill, a non-fiction first-hand account of the mass escape from Stalag Luft III in Sagan (now Żagań, Poland), in the province of Lower Silesia, Nazi Germany. The story was adapted by James Clavell, W. R. Burnett, and Walter Newman from Paul Brickhill's book The Great Escape. Brickhill had been a prisoner at Stalag Luft III during World War II. This arrangement of the main title theme music from the film is playable by either SSAB or SSSB Clarinet Quartet. It can be included in a variety of concert programs. Duration is 2:10.
