Sutartinės are traditional Lithuanian multi-part songs and have been recognized by UNESCO as ?Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity? in 2010. This piece expands upon a traditional Lithuanian sutartinė: ?U?augo liepa,? a story of a linden tree and a woman?s reverie.

The choral version of this piece is 1st-prize winner in the Lithuanian National Culture Center 2018 Composition Contest.

"Life on Mars?," also known as "(Is There) Life on Mars?," is a song by David Bowie, first released in 1971 on the album Hunky Dory and also released as a single. The song, with piano by Rick Wakeman, has been described by BBC Radio 2 as "a cross between a Broadway musical and a Salvador Dalí painting." When released as a single in 1973, it reached number three in the UK and stayed on the chart for thirteen weeks. NME named Life on Mars? the 34th greatest song ever released, and in 2015 Neil McCormick, chief rock music critic of The Daily Telegraph, ranked it as number one in his "100 Greatest Songs of All Time" list. It is arranged for clarinet quartet ( 3 Bb and 1 Bass) Available for other instrumentation groups.

This is the very emotive "Solace" by Scott Joplin. Originally for piano, this arrangement is carefully scored for clarinet quartet (three Bb soprano clarinets and one Bb bass clarinet). This is a wonderful piece for both concert and contest. This is arranged within the comfortable playing range of the instruments, in a common keysign, with technical considerations worked out and with many useful rehearsal numbers for easy preparation. With attention to the rubato character of the piece, this is a highly expressive piece and very suitable for clarinet quartet.
