Now and Then is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 2 November 2023. Dubbed the last Beatles song, it appeared on a double A-side single, paired with a new stereo remix of the band's first single, Love Me Do (1962), with the two serving as bookends to the band's history. Both songs were included on the expanded re-issues of the 1973 compilations 1962–1966 and 1967–1970, released on 10 November 2023.The song is a psychedelic soft rock ballad that John Lennon wrote in the late 1970s. He recorded a solo five-minute piano demo around 1977 on a tape recorder at his home in the Dakota building in New York City; it was left unfinished. The final version features additional lyrics by McCartney. Lennon's voice was extracted from the demo using the machine-learning-assisted audio restoration technology commissioned by Peter Jackson for his 2021 documentary The Beatles: Get Back. Jackson also directed the music video for Now and Then. The song received much critical acclaim. Adam B. Grim #6196935. Published by Adam B. Grim (A0.939376). Satellite to Planet Nine is a saxophone quartet inspired by the cosmos surrounding planet Earth. The opening movement, Takeoff, is about the mystery and fear surrounding a possibility of another planet - or black hole - yet to be discovered and the beginning of the journey to find it. The second movement, Hymn for the Moon is dedicated to the closest body of natural rock in our solar system. This movement features the tenor saxophone using a mix of disjunct melodies, smooth jazz, and thick chords to produce a movement of both mysticism and peace as the rocket travels by it. Soca for Saturn is the following movement and is inspired by the Trinidadian popular music known as soca. It is the spark of joy and pure energy that holds the astronauts together as they hold their hopes high traveling to a land that might not even exist at all. The fourth movement depicts the first amount of struggle for the team, Solar Flares, which batter and beat at the crew as they try to find a way through. In the movement the mood is instantly changed with the realization that it is too calm, and soon, meet the purest form of heat and energy. Movement five continues the struggle, but this time with hasty success. Arrival continues where the fourth movement leaves off, but finally they see something in the distance – the planet they have been looking for. They prepare for landing, but with their equipment being nearly destroyed from the solar flares it is not smooth landing. In the final movement, New Gravity, the team ventures out into the new world, which is dark and barren. They feel a disturbing presence around them, and as they search further and further into the cold and dusty landscape, they realize what they are up against – survival. Using what they know, they build on their wreckage and create a new home - The Satellite to Planet Nine.

However, this specific feature is less common in Western musical practices. The work’s metric structure is based on sequences of two, three and four sixteenth notes. These units of unequal length, such as the 2/16, 3/16, and 4/16 meters, are irregularly alternated in order to build musical phrases. The modal pitch structure has its origin in some Geamparale tunes, wedding dances from the Danube Plain and Dobrogea region. The mixture of the symmetrical and asymmetrical meters, together with an extremely fast tempo (i.e. 436 beats per minute or even 500), helps to turn the performer into a masterly artist.Instrumentation: Soprano saxophone in B-flat, Alto saxophone in E-flat, Tenor saxophone in B-flat, Baritone saxophone in E-flatAvailable version: the first movement of akSax may also be performed as a solo piece for Alto saxophone, and it is accessible as a separate file.Format: Full score with introductory text. "Prelude - Havana Promenade is the first movement in Margaret Brandman's 'Warm Winds in Havana' suite for Saxophone Quartet. The suite was recorded in Havana, Cuba by the Javier Zalba ensemble for the album ABRAZO on the Ansonica Label (ar0001).
