Somewhere, My Love, also know as Lara's Theme is the name given to aleitmotif written for the film Doctor Zhivago (1965) by composer MauriceJarre. By special request of Connie Francis, Paul Francis Webster later tookthe theme and added lyrics to it to create Somewhere,My Love. In 1967, Somewhere, MyLove was nominated for the Grammy Award for Song of the Year. It lost to Michelle by The Beatles. Francis also had her version released as a single, and although itfailed to chart in the US, it became one of her biggest successesinternationally. This arrangement, suitable for concerts and many other occasions, is playable by either SATB or AATB Saxophone Quartet, with optional Bass Saxophone doubling the Baritone. Duration is 2:40. Portrait of Tracy has become one of the landmark pieces of jazz bass guitar repertoire, featuring the natural harmonics of the instrument to create an etherial quality. Written by the American jazz bassist Jaco Pastorius, this atmospheric composition soon established itself as a bass standard and a benchmark for other players to aspire to. Jaco's composition has been sensitivley scored for three soprano saxophones and one baritone. This is perhaps an unusual choice of piece to transcibe for saxophone quartet but with the right aproach to performance, it lends itself well to this kind of ensemble. The three sopranos play the high floating bass harmonics, while the baritone holds down the pulse provided by the lower strings of the instrument. The four players will need to demonstrate incredible control, balance and ensemble flexibility, to create the right relaxed ambience for the music to sound natural. The Liberty Bell for Saxophone Quartet (SATB or AATB)The Liberty Bell is ideal for any concert programmes that have an American, patriotic, or military focus. In the UK it will be a popular addition to Film & TV based programmes because of the march's use as the theme for Monty Python's Flying Circus.Sousa’s The Liberty Bell (March) for Military Band was published in 1893 and became an immediate hit. It was originally scored for: 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 4 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, timpani, cymbals, bass drum, snare drum, and strings. However, it is often performed today by a standard Military Band, consisting of woodwind, brass, and percussion sections. An abbreviated version of Liberty Bell was used as the theme tune for the British television comedy sketch show, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, which ran from 1969 to 1974.This arrangement for Sax Quartet consists of the whole March with its Trio section. The dynamic shaping is based on that used by The President’s Own Band, but these are mostly editorial so can be changed by the performers. The full length is 3 minutes 35 seconds, but there is an optional ending at 2 minutes 35 seconds.

As a theorist, his areas of study vary widely, including 18th century counterpoint, the early American Sacred Harp tradition and impressionism. As a composer, his music draws inspiration from nature, mathematics and poetry. In 2020 he was awarded the Michigan Music Education Association’s Young Composers of Michigan award, as well as first prize in the University of Toledo Young Composers competition. Lenhart has also participated in numerous ensembles across Michigan, including the MYAF All-State Choir, Tecumseh Pops Orchestra, University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club and the SMTD University Choir. He thoroughly enjoys collaboration with other composers, performers, poets and visual artists. Some of his recent projects include collaborations with individuals from the University of Michigan Chamber Music, History, and Poetry departments.
