Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1449473 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by Diego Marani. Classical,Film/TV,Instructional,Romantic Period,Wedding. 20 pages. Diego Marani #1029229. Published by Diego Marani (A0.1449473). The Impromptus, Op. 90, D. 899, are a set of four impromptus for solo piano composed by Franz Schubert in 1827. They were written in the same year as the Impromptus, Op. 142, though only the first two pieces were published during Schubert's lifetime. Together with the latter set, they have become a cornerstone of the piano repertoire. The third Impromptu (Andante) is an wonderful epitome of slow-moving Schubert melody over a flowing arpeggiated accompaniment. This lyrical and meditative work remains unified in mood and texture throughout. The piece is a classic example of Schubert's penchant for long melodic lines. This arrangement for sax quartet (Bb Soprano, Eb Alto, Bb Tenor, Eb Baritone) is suitable for classroom, repertoire, recital, wedding or for an emotional encore.

Bach: French Suite No. 5, BWV 816, for Saxophone Quartet
Quatuor de Saxophones: 4 saxophones
Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Te…
(+)
Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406650 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 59 pages. Jmsgu3 #989408. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1406650). The importance of Bach's French Suites lies in their unique blend of French and Italian styles despite the misleading title. These suites, composed between 1722 and 1725 for the clavier, showcase Bach's mastery in stylizing traditional dances like allemandes, courantes, sarabandes, and gigues. While named French Suites by later sources like Johann Nikolaus Forkel, they follow Italian conventions with some French influences. The suites offer a rich musical experience, bridging different European styles and serving as valuable teaching pieces. Despite the misleading title, Bach's French Suites are a testament to his compositional genius and continue to be cherished by musicians and audiences alike. The history behind Bach's French Suites is intertwined with a bittersweet period in Bach's life. In May 1720, Bach embarked on a trip, leaving his wife, Maria Barbara, and four children. Tragically, upon his return, he discovered that Maria Barbara had passed away. This loss led to a significant change in Bach's personal life as he became a single father mourning his wife. Despite this tragedy, Bach found love again with Anna Magdalena Wülcken, whom he married. As a gesture of affection and to cultivate her musical skills, Bach composed music for Anna Magdalena, including what would later become the French Suites. These suites were likely performed at court and reflected the couple's intimate musical companionship. The French Suites were not published during Bach's lifetime, possibly because he did not deem it challenging enough. Today, these suites offer an accessible path to Bach's music and are cherished for their stylized dance movements inspired by French and Italian forms.

Today, these suites offer an accessible path to Bach's music and are cherished for their stylized dance movements inspired by French and Italian forms.

Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 25 pages. Jmsgu3 #987854. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1404790). Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.834018 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by BRIAN W. COPPING. Romantic Period. 12 pages. EMK Music #6073435. Published by EMK Music (A0.834018). During his short lifetime Schubert composed prolifically in many genres. His original composition of Marche Militaire was for 'four hands' or two Pianos, and all arrangements, including this one, usually present only the first part of the first of three marches that comprise the complete work (Trois Marches Militaire, Op.51). Among the devices used by Schubert is clever decoration of the opening and closing unison phrases which are suggestive of a bugle call.

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1125399 Composed by James Pierpoint. Arranged by Hugh Levey. Christmas,Folk,Holiday,Traditional. 14 pages. Woodwindly.com #726182. Published by woodwindly.com (A0.1125399). Saxophone Quartet (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone) The ever popular Jingle Bells was written by James Pierpoint in the autumn of 1857 with the title, The One Horse Open Sleigh. It was not written as a Christmas Song, but it became increasingly associated with the festive season during the 1860s and 1870s, and has been a firm Christmas favourite for the last 150 years. Although attributed to Pierpoint, some authors suggest that little of the work was original. Nevertheless, it was copyrighted under his name during his lifetime. This is a simple and effective arrangement of Jingle Bells for saxophone quartet. It was created for a Scottish disabled children’s charity, to help support their Christmas celebrations during the challenging year of 2020. The ‘Saturday Café Clubs’ is based in Glasgow: Charity registration number SC046501. Please include this dedication if you record or perform this arrangement please. Thank you. Duration: 1’35

Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary. 31 pages. Jeff Tincher #3618311. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.583225). This is a Saxophone Quartet (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone) arrangement of a classic Christmas song. In the original key from Johnny Mathis' The Christmas Album, this is another one of those Christmas song that will give you memories to last a lifetime. What I particularly like with this song is that it changes keys but you don't hear the key changes, they blend so well. Great for any Christmas celebration or sitting around the fireplace! Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1345706 By Tommy Emmanuel. By Tommy Emmanuel. Arranged by Jeff Tincher. Contemporary,Country. 25 pages. Jeff Tincher #930588. Published by Jeff Tincher (A0.1345706). This song got me hooked on Tommy Emmanuel. Tommy is a Certified Guitar Player, a designation created by Chet Atkins that is awarded to a guitar player who goes beyond a normal guitar player. Chet only handed out 4 of these designations in his lifetime. This song is a lively country song that many guitarists strived to learn. In the original key, this will get your foot tapping (or your head bobbing as Tommy does when he plays this song). This arrangement was made by tearing apart the guitar arrangement and placing the notes in the right staff. Duration = 3:27.
