Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1160549 Composed by C. R. Howell (1857-?). Arranged by RUSSELL T. KING. 20th Century,Contest,Country,Festival,Film/TV,Historic. 12 pages. EMK Music #760841. Published by EMK Music (A0.1160549). Scored for 2 Altos, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones, there are Alternative Parts for Alto 3 and 4 so that the piece can be played by four Altos. This is especially useful for teachers of groups of like instruments. Whilst the piece is marked easy, the first part may present a challenge to inexperienced players. The other parts are easy. Rustic Dance was composed by C.R. (Cyrus Ryerson) Howell (1857-?), a Canadian minister, artist and musician and was first published by the De Luxe Music Company of New York in 1900. It has been described as a quirky country-dance style piece. It was used in a scene in the 1962 film “The Music Manâ€.

It also marks Karol G's first song in English. The music video was directed by Christian Breslauer, who filmed the music videos for The Business, Industry Baby and Streets. It starts off with an outdoor shot of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet at the Night, then followed up by the Night at the Museum-inspired music video, comedian Blake Webber plays a museum janitor, and Karol G dances with a group of dancers in different scenes in a museum.Part two of the music video was released on 4 September 2021.Carolina Giraldo Navarro (born 14 February 1991), known professionally as Karol G (stylized in all caps), is a Colombian singer and songwriter. She is predominantly described as a reggaeton and Latin trap artist, but has experimented with a variety of other genres including reggae and sertanejo. In 2018, she won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and has been nominated for several Billboard Latin Music Awards and Lo Nuestro Awards.Born and raised in MedellÃn, Giraldo launched her career as a teenager, appearing on the Colombian spinoff of The X Factor. Her song Tusa with Nicki Minaj also charted internationally and was certified 28× Latin Platinum by the RIAA, staying on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for 25 weeks. In 2020, Karol G received four nominations at the Latin Grammys. Bach: French Suite No. 5, BWV 816, for Saxophone Quartet
Quatuor de Saxophones: 4 saxophones
Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Te…
(+)
Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1406650 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 59 pages. Jmsgu3 #989408. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1406650). The importance of Bach's French Suites lies in their unique blend of French and Italian styles despite the misleading title. These suites, composed between 1722 and 1725 for the clavier, showcase Bach's mastery in stylizing traditional dances like allemandes, courantes, sarabandes, and gigues. While named French Suites by later sources like Johann Nikolaus Forkel, they follow Italian conventions with some French influences. The suites offer a rich musical experience, bridging different European styles and serving as valuable teaching pieces. Despite the misleading title, Bach's French Suites are a testament to his compositional genius and continue to be cherished by musicians and audiences alike. The history behind Bach's French Suites is intertwined with a bittersweet period in Bach's life. In May 1720, Bach embarked on a trip, leaving his wife, Maria Barbara, and four children. Tragically, upon his return, he discovered that Maria Barbara had passed away. This loss led to a significant change in Bach's personal life as he became a single father mourning his wife. Despite this tragedy, Bach found love again with Anna Magdalena Wülcken, whom he married. As a gesture of affection and to cultivate her musical skills, Bach composed music for Anna Magdalena, including what would later become the French Suites. These suites were likely performed at court and reflected the couple's intimate musical companionship. The French Suites were not published during Bach's lifetime, possibly because he did not deem it challenging enough. Today, these suites offer an accessible path to Bach's music and are cherished for their stylized dance movements inspired by French and Italian forms.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1404790 Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Historic,Standards. 25 pages. Jmsgu3 #987854. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1404790).

Arranged by Katsuo Mizushina. Classical,Contest,Festival. 79 pages. FOSTERMUSIC.JP Digital Publishing #1054001. Published by FOSTERMUSIC.JP Digital Publishing (A0.1477423). Tropical Cafe - at the Resort This piece is originally in a flute duet and piano version, arranged by Katsuo Mizushina for saxophone quartet. The suite is inspired by a story in a café at a resort, but can also be performed as excerpts. We would also be happy if the performers could freely enjoy the piece by adding piano and percussion instruments for optional parts and ad-libbing.Please imagine your favorite café and play it. (Mari Miura)Click here for piano accompaniment sound files.A clear blue sky.Reflected in a sea of sapphire.Waves lapping on the dazzling white of the beach glimmer in the sunlight. The Tropical Cafe, a charming building full of tourists on the shore. It has a mysterious power that transports you into the world of whatever you order.Word of its power soon spread, and now business is booming. But who will visit today? I.Bossa Nova on the Beach Today’s first customers are a group of girls who came to the beach for a holiday.“We need something to match our excitement!”“What could capture the radiance of the sun reflecting on the beach?”They’re having the time of their lives as they decide what to order.“This would be perfect!”One of the girls points out the Beach Bossa Nova. II.Anniversary Waltz At high noon, an elderly couple walks in.“Today is our wedding anniversary.”“We always talked about returning to this beach after we got married here, but we never got round to it.”“Until today!”The sun shining. Seagulls soaring across the sky. Waves gently lapping the shoreline. It was exactly as they’d remembered.Just like the waltz they danced at their wedding, they order the Anniversary Waltz. III.Songs of Nostalgia As the sun begins to set in the west, a customer dressed in unfamiliar clothes enters the cafe.“I wonder where this sea leads to.”The sun shines on half of his face, casting a long shadow.Thinking of his hometown, he gazes at the menu. His eyes tinged with sorrow, he comes across the Song of Nostalgia. IV.Happy Samba Flaming torches are lit as the sun falls beyond the horizon. When you feel a little lonesome as an exciting day draws to a close, treat yourself to the cafe’s most uplifting item. The Happy Samba!May tomorrow be filled with happiness.Click here for other works by Mari Miura.

Saxophone Quartet,Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.764703 Composed by Erik Satie (1866-1925). Arranged by James Pybus. 20th Century,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. 52 pages. James Pybus #5026489. Published by James Pybus (A0.764703). The Gnossiennes are originally six piano compositions written by the French composer Erik Satie over seven and a half years, between July1889 and January 1897. They were composed by Satie in the decade following the composition of the Trois Sarabandes (1887) and the Trois Gymnopédies (1888). Like these Sarabandes and Gymnopédies, the Gnossiennes are often considered dances. It is not certain that this qualification comes from Satie himself – the sarabande and the Gymnopaedia were at least historically known as dances. They have been arranged here for SATB Saxophone Quartet. Impressionistic in nature, each of these short musical gems depicts a different atmosphere and may be performed individually or as a six movement suite. Gnossienne No. 1 is perhaps the most well-known of the six. Overall performance time is 14:33. Please contact me at james.pybus56@gmail.com.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1003612 Composed by Adrian Borza. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. 46 pages. Adrian Borza #2945999. Published by Adrian Borza (A0.1003612). akSax integrates an additive rhythm called aksak, which is a particularity of the Balkans folklore. However, this specific feature is less common in Western musical practices. The work’s metric structure is based on sequences of two, three and four sixteenth notes. These units of unequal length, such as the 2/16, 3/16, and 4/16 meters, are irregularly alternated in order to build musical phrases. The modal pitch structure has its origin in some Geamparale tunes, wedding dances from the Danube Plain and Dobrogea region. The mixture of the symmetrical and asymmetrical meters, together with an extremely fast tempo (i.e. 436 beats per minute or even 500), helps to turn the performer into a masterly artist.Instrumentation: Soprano saxophone in B-flat, Alto saxophone in E-flat, Tenor saxophone in B-flat, Baritone saxophone in E-flatAvailable version: the first movement of akSax may also be performed as a solo piece for Alto saxophone, and it is accessible as a separate file.Format: Full score with introductory text. Individual parts for soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones are also included. Individual parts do not come with covers. Level: This music is best suited for intermediate and advanced musicians.Audio preview: An extract from the first part for solo saxophone
