RayThompsonMusic #1052138. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1474513). Chopin wrote a number of preludes for piano solo. His cycle of 24 Preludes, Op. 28, covers all major and minor keys.In addition, Chopin wrote three other preludes: a prelude in C♯ minor, Op. 45; a piece in A♭ major from 1834; and an unfinished piece in E♭ minor. These are sometimes referred to as Nos. 25, 26, and 27, respectively.This is no 6 in B minor.I have transposed it up to C minor, to fit the range of the Bb clarinet.Check out my original version In Bminor which has a Clarinet in A partIt is quite short - 28 bars longThis prelude was played at Chopin's funeral on organ.Its melancholy melody is primarily given to the pianist's left hand.Rather than giving the melody to the bassoon, I have given it primarly to the clarinet, with the 8 bar middle section given to the bassoonArranged here for wind quintetNOTE: CLARINET PART IS FOR CLARINET IN BbCheck out my other Chopin arrangements of some of his other Preludes (including Raindrop) and of Nocturne No.2.Arranged wind quintet.
