A collection of 7 beautiful piano solos to escape into a place of tranquillity and reflect upon the simple pleasures of nature. Each piece is also available for individual purchase, simply search for Suite de Jardin and you will see the 7 pieces.

This collection of intermediate piano solos includes 20 arrangements of some of the most romantic songs from ages past. These beautiful, lyrical songs are perfect for weddings, easy listening repertoire, personal enjoyment, and even a few for church worship services.

These arrangements were created to make challenging classical music more accessible for the intermediate player or easier to sight-read by more advanced players (comes in handy when asked to perform on short notice). Another feature of these arrangements is they are consistent at the intermediate to advanced-intermediate skill level throughout each piece. Many have been simplified and only include excerpts from the longer original movements. Other simplified characteristics include easier key signatures, timings, and fingerings. Complimentary interludes and introductions were added when appropriate and melodies modified to create a more contemporary sound.

Each of the 20 arrangements is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. The audio sample plays ?Starlight Serenade? by Alexander Ilyinsky.

This arrangement for Piano Solo of 'Prélude Suite No. 1 in G Major (BWV 1007)' is an original composition made based on of the famous Prelude of Suite n. 1 of Bach. We transcribed and arranged the piece for solo piano, according to the interpretation of Víkingur Ólafsson.

It is an interesting piece to present as an option to the public, since the original piece of Bach is constantly presented. It will be useful for concerts, recitals, weddings, and educational purposes. You'll love playing this piece.

"Finally got a chance to play through ?The New England Suite??Three Poems for Solo Piano by the amazing Klaus Schader, a modern German composer. Klaus dedicated this piece to me. In Klaus Schader?s piano suite, he explored the deepest longings of human soul, then he painted it out using especially various and unusual harmonies into a master piece with colors of curiosity and warmth. Each harmony was made to wanting more. Wanting more in mystery, wanting more in the dream. In ?Delaware moon?, I hear the warmth of the moonlight dimming Delaware and it feels romantic and welcoming, yet mysterious. The unexpected disharmony of the four chords strikes you into intensive emotions, and reminds you that it was these struggles of reality make beauty even more beautiful. In the ?Old King?s Highway?, the changing of irregular meters and the use of 5/4 gives you the unsettling worries, yet Klaus uses the calming bass lines and chords to balance the scene, and it feels all is in control on the bumpy road. In ?Dusk on the Mohawk Trail?, the story line was based on the unusual chordal progressions, however the dominant sevenths chords throughout brings back the core spirit of the entire piano series-romance, mystery, and dream. It reminds one where the core of the soul is, and that is, where peace is at. Thank you Klaus!!"

DOCTOR GRADUS AD PARNASSUM from ?Children?s Corner Suite? by CLAUDE DEBUSSY for PIANO SOLO. The Latin phrase gradus ad Parnassum means "steps to Parnassus?. Debussy composed Children's Corner between 1906 and 1908. This piece is actually a rather ingenious study in finger independence with a Twentieth Century vocabulary. In the middle, the pianist slows down and tries his material in other keys for exercise. Debussy's Doctor Gradus Ad Parnassum is of intermediate difficulty and requires experienced fingers. The pianist gets wilder toward the end and finishes the piece with a bang. Debussy told his publisher that the movement should be played "very early in the morning".This edition also includes a short biography of Debussy and some facts about the piece.

And what would a ?generic? Shakespeare comedy include? Certainly it would center around a pair of young lovers, probably kept apart either by social circumstances or obstructionist parents. There would probably be an important situation involving mistaken identity or some other intrigue, moments of both decorum and revelry, plus some comic relief along the way, something like Peter Quince and the ?rude mechanicals? in Midsummer Night?s Dream, or Dogberry and his bumbling constables in Much Ado About Nothing.) And the whole thing would likely be capped off by a wedding.

So here is a little suite which looks back beyond the great examples of incidental music by Grieg (Peer Gynt), Mendelssohn (Midsummer Night?s Dream) or Bizet (L?Arlésienne), all the way back to Henry Purcell?s Ayres for the Theatre, published in 1697. It features a blend of 17th century forms and contrapuntal textures with 21st century ?wrong note? harmonies and changing meters in a diverting and accessible audience pleaser. Performance time is about 14 minutes.

The accompanying audio file gives you the first halves (roughly) of the first (Sinfonye) and last (Wedding March) movements. Yes, I know the Wedding March is in 3/4 time. Please don?t write to complain.
