Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1412899 Composed by Clay Burnett. 21st Century,Classical. Score. 7 pages. Clay Parker Burnett #983593. Published by Clay Parker Burnett (A0.1412899). The final movement in a collection of three pieces for piano. This piece serves as a resolution to the previous movement, the nocturne. It begins with a series of repetitive notes and chords that is at first a bit unpredictable as to where it is headed. It then moves to a somewhat formless and disjointed melody with frequently changing time signatures but then quickly transforms into a cheerful and resolute theme, then a brief aside that allows the performer to show off his technical skills, and then back to the determined and driven, yet cheerful theme that concludes the cycle with a happy ending.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.924215 Composed by Sibylle Kuder. Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 18 pages. Sibylle Kuder #6210437. Published by Sibylle Kuder (A0.924215). I. Piacevole Pleasing, pleasant, smiling, playful scampering along without much sense of urgency. Doesn't require advanced technical or reading skills other than being familiar with reading and playing in the key of A flat. It does require the ability to play very evenly though, nothing bumpy in this piece! Level 6. II. AgitatoLike a wildly spinning top that only twice comes to an abrupt stop, the A section pressing forward and unforgiving, the B section playful and light, this needs to be played Allegrissimo which is very fast but with a different character than Presto. It requires a well-developed technique that can handle RH passage work with ease. Level 8, due to the very fast tempo. III. FantasiaStarts very sweet and gentle, softly like a Nocturne - though without the lilting character - but quickly changes character, several times, before developing into a fff coda-like ending which after just a few measures disappears into nothingness. Key changes and chromatic writing as well as unexpected harmonic shifts make this piece potentially not easy to read. However, rhythmically it is uncomplicated, and technically, everything fits the hands very well. For instance, LH arpeggiated accompaniment patterns over more than one octave are always ascending and hardly ever fill the entire measure. What this piece requires is a well-developed sense of flair and an intuitive ability to create drama and suspense, both with touch and timing. Level 8.IV. FugaceNote-wise identical to the first piece, Piacevole, but played much faster, in a fleeting manner, flying away. Needs an extremely light touch. Level 7, due to tempo and the need for subtle shading.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1412897 Composed by Clay Burnett. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 2 pages. Clay Parker Burnett #983550. Published by Clay Parker Burnett (A0.1412897). The first movement of a collection of three pieces for piano, this piece is an original composition inspired by and written in the style of a sea shanty, as simple tune that sailors would often sing to accompany the rhythmical labor performed aboard merchant sailing vessels. The form is sort of a call and response with a solo followed by a hearty chorus.

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.977484 Composed by Franco Solano. Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Franco Solano #4320653. Published by Franco Solano (A0.977484). The three piano pieces were composed with a musical aesthetics close to minimalism, each has ideas and fragments that are repeated and others that do not, with which they develop. The thematic ideas came out of improvisations that were then taking form to be written. In each piece the twelve notes of the chromatic scale appear in a free way and without an order in particular.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1412898 Composed by Clay Burnett. 21st Century,Classical. Score. 7 pages. Clay Parker Burnett #983570. Published by Clay Parker Burnett (A0.1412898). The second movement from a collection of three pieces for piano. A nocturne, the piece presents a melancholy mood that is also a tinge unsettling and slightly creepy, depicting the shadowy figures that one might encoutner on a midnight stroll. The piece frequently moves in an out of G minor and C minor keys and at times, uses notes that just don't belong.. the piece concludes with an afterthought that leaves the piece feeling more unresolved than it was before.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1253097 Composed by Moshe S. Knoll. 21st Century,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. Score. 51 pages. ArtsAhimsa #846842. Published by ArtsAhimsa (A0.1253097). This is a large scale Tryptich, inspired by Debussy's Suite pour le Piano. It was begun in 2021 and it kept being re-written till 2023.I dedicate this Tryptich to the loving memory of the great American Pianistand pedagoge Mr. Beveridge Webster, who was my last teacher at Juilliard. The first piece is a Prelude, playful but not too carefree, the dance-like atmosphere gets interrupted several times by a serious, contemplativeChorale-like passage. The second piece, Nocturno-Fantasia is a desolated landscape of pain and despair,a reflection of the harsh times the human family has had to endure these last three years. The last movement, is a large-Scale Toccata in the Phrygian Mode, usingirregular time signatures. This Toccata must be played in strict tempo, to highlight those irregular rhythms.Dies Irae is referenced in both the second and third movements, discreetly, just beneath the surface. This Cycle of three can be performed as a unit, or as three separate pieces. It is designed to give virtuosi a new warhorse for competitions, certainlythe Toccata.I do believe this Toccata has great technical value for pianists as an Etude in articulationand rhythm.Beyond this, I hope that this music will express a wide range of human sufferings and aspirations, and that it will deliver an emotional catharsis for all potential listeners. With this composition I am joining the large group of composers who have created New Music these last few years, music testifying to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.933374 Composed by Michael S. Bryson. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 13 pages. Bryson Music #495011. Published by Bryson Music (A0.933374). An exciting advanced piano solo. Duration: approx. 8 min. 1. Marche Humoresque - an energetic march that includes LH tone clusters. Inspired by the finale of Ravel's Piano Concerto for the LH. People often comment that this movement reminds them of a parade of cartoon characters. 2. Nocturne - begins as a gentle lullaby that builds to a majestic climax before fading away into mysterious chords. The return of the tender opening melody will bring tears to your listeners' eyes. 3. Presto - blurring and frantically playful with a bombastic conclusion to the set. Michael S. Bryson (ASCAP) www.michaelsbryson.com Contact me with any questions: michaelsbryson@gmail.com.

Score and part. 16 pages. Jmsgu3 #3516889. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549648). Duration: ca 5:20, Score: 8 pages, solo part: 3 pages, piano part: 4 pages. One of Beethoven's finest and most famous works. Program for a recital, church meditation or school program. Bring your best espressivo and plan to rehearse the many subtle dynamic changes.Sonata Pathétique Op. 13 First of all, this is an arrangement of the second movement of Beethoven’s Sonata Pathétique. It seems like Beethoven wrote this piece before becoming troubled by deafness. Published in 1799, it consequently remains one of the most celebrated pieces Beethoven ever wrote. As a result of its popularity, the movement was therefore performed by Karl Haas. Hass recorded it for a popular radio show called: Adventures in Good Music. Beethoven Background Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 –1827) was certainly a German pianist. Above all, he was probably one of the greatest composers in history. As a result, he is a pivotal character in the progress between the Classical and Romantic periods. He is certainly one of the most famous and hence important of all composers. Seems like his most familiar and noteworthy works include symphonies 1-9; piano concertos 1-5; and furthermore, the violin concerto. Also, certainly of extreme importance are the noteworthy 32 sonatas for the piano; the string quartets 1-16; the Missa solemnis; and likewise, his only opera, Fidelio. Beethoven Overview First of all, Beethoven was born and consequently raised in Bonn. Upon turning 21 he moved to Vienna probably to study composition with Haydn. That’s when he consequently grew a reputation as a brilliant pianist. Furthermore, he probably stayed in Vienna for the rest of his life. In his late 20s, it seems like his hearing certainly began to decline. It slowly declined until consequently, he was nearly totally deaf probably by the last decade of his life. As a result, he stopped conducting and performing. Nevertheless, he continued to compose. As a result, some of his greatest works probably come from this period. First Period Seems like we often divide Beethoven’s life into three periods. Period 1 begins with Beethoven’s arrival in Vienna. Hence, during this period, he mastered the Viennese style of Haydn & Mozart. He consequently began increasing the size and scale of his works. Furthermore, he experimented with extreme dynamics, and likewise extreme tempi. He worked similarly with chromatic harmony. His First and Second Symphonies, therefore, belong to this period. Other important works also belong here: the first six string quartets and the Sonata Pathétique, Op. 13. Second Period His second period probably began as soon as he realized that he was going deaf. During this period, it seems like he became obsessed with the idea of heroism. His works consequently become even larger and more massive. The most noteworthy of these include the symphonies 3 – 8, piano concertos 5& 6, 5 string quartets, several important piano sonatas (Waldstein and Appassionata), the Kreutzer violin sonata, the violin concerto and his only opera: Fidelio. Third Period In contrast, Beethoven's third period is branded above all by works of incredible intellectual depth, formal innovation, and penetrating expression. It seems like he continued to expand his works. Consequently, the string quartet Op. 131 spills over into seven connected movements. Likewise, in the Ninth Symphony, he adds choral forces to his orchestra probably for the first time in history. Even more, other works from this period include his Missa solemnis, the final 5 string quartets (including the enormous Große Fuge) and the final five sonatas for piano.
