These fun-to-learn arrangements are a welcome addition to the repertoire for beginning string students and suitable for recitals and worship services. The theme of each hymn centers around Jesus? love for us as witnessed in his coming to earth to die on the cross. These hymn arrangements are equally suited for the Easter and Lent season as well as other times of year to celebrate our resurrected Savior and King.

All notes for each instrument are playable in the first position making these arrangements an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. Here is an easy instrumental trio arrangement (for VIOLIN and CELLO duet with PIANO accompaniment) of the peaceful hymn \"Like a River Glorious\" by James Mountain. This gently flowing arrangement will inspire calm reflection as the listeners are reminded of the lyrics penned by Frances Havergal: \"Like a river glorious is God\'s perfect peace, over all victorious in its bright increase?..Trusting in the Father, hearts are fully blest, finding, as he promised, perfect peace and rest.\"

Both the VIOLIN and the CELLO get to lead with the melody at times making this a fun and equally challenging piece for both instruments while adding variety for the listeners. The verse begins with each instrument playing a phrase independently followed by the VIOLIN on melody and the CELLO on harmony.
