In this sample, you hear a baritone saxophone in place of the singer, and an electric guitar for the instrumental sections. The lyrics express frustration with white bigotry toward people with dark skin, and how that brand of racism surfaces in acts of police brutality. The lyrics pose both practical and ideal solutions. My arrangements there are cheaper and most of the revenue will go to the arranger (me) instead of sheet music plus.This is great for high school, university students and professionals. It's not too hard, but beginners beware, it's a bit beyond basic entry level horn playing. There are not a lot of horn arrangements out there like this one. This arrangement helps fill a niche for small ensemble in that horn quartet music typically lacks repertoire in most contemporary and jazz genres.If you're reading this in the future, this was one of the most popular songs of the year 2020! This arrangement is my take on it for quartet, semi-faithful to the original song with a bit of a jazzy twist. Score, parts and cover arts included. I hope someone out there tries this arrangement and has fun!

You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth - Choral Arrangement for SSAA and Piano by Michael Thomas Coull.You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (also known as You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)) is the first solo single by the American singer Meat Loaf, released in 1977.  It is a track from his album Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman. According to his autobiography, Meat Loaf asked Jim Steinman to write a song that was not 15 or 20 minutes long, and, in Meat Loaf’s words, a ‘pop song’.  His autobiography also dates the writing of the song to 1975, the song reportedly being a key factor in Meat Loaf and Steinman deciding to do an album together. The song was the first single released from the album, with an edit of For Crying Out Loud as the B-side.  The record peaked at No. 73 in the Record World singles chart, and didn't appear at all in Billboard Hot 100.  Billboard reviewed the single, finding the guitar introduction to be energetic, the beat to be ‘catchy’ and the vocal performance to be somewhat similar to Bruce Springsteen. Billboard also commented on how occasional pauses in the instruments allow the ‘infectious’ vocals to be highlighted.  Following the success of the next two singles, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, the song was re-released in October 1978 with Paradise as the B-side.  This issue peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, over a year after the first release of the song.This exciting and energetic choral arrangement is voiced for SSAA women's choir with piano accompaniment, and will lend a touch of contemporary pop/rock to your next concert.Also available for SATB.

You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth - Choral Arrangement for SATB and Piano by Michael Thomas Coull.You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (also known as You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night)) is the first solo single by the American singer Meat Loaf, released in 1977.  It is a track from his album Bat Out of Hell, written by Jim Steinman. According to his autobiography, Meat Loaf asked Jim Steinman to write a song that was not 15 or 20 minutes long, and, in Meat Loaf’s words, a ‘pop song’.  His autobiography also dates the writing of the song to 1975, the song reportedly being a key factor in Meat Loaf and Steinman deciding to do an album together.  The song was the first single released from the album, with an edit of For Crying Out Loud as the B-side.  The record peaked at No. 73 in the Record World singles chart, and didn't appear at all in Billboard Hot 100.  Billboard reviewed the single, finding the guitar introduction to be energetic, the beat to be ‘catchy’ and the vocal performance to be somewhat similar to Bruce Springsteen.  Billboard also commented on how occasional pauses in the instruments allow the ‘infectious’ vocals to be highlighted.   Following the success of the next two singles, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad and Paradise by the Dashboard Light, the song was re-released in October 1978 with Paradise as the B-side.  This issue peaked at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, over a year after the first release of the song.This exciting and energetic choral arrangement is voiced for full SATB choir with piano accompaniment, and will lend a touch of contemporary pop/rock to your next concert.Also available for SSAA.

In the circumstances it is tempting to suggest that this attractive and unusually-scored work was composed for Hofmann's imperial pupils and that Joseph II perhaps played the cello part in a domestic concert at court. This edition is based on a set of MS parts now preserved in the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin under the shelfmark Mus.ms. 10733/3. The wrapper reads: 'A/ Concertino / a / Cembalo / Flauto Traverso / Violino / Violoncello / e / Basso / del Sigr. Leop: Hoffmann / Grave' . The intended 'basso' instrument is uncertain but in all likelihood it was played by a second cello. In the absence of both the autograph score and an authentic set of parts, this edition presents as faithfully as possible the intentions of the composer as transmitted in the Berlin copy. The simple continuo realisation, printed here in smaller type, has been added by a later hand and is certainly not the work of the composer. As is often the case in Hofmann's chamber music there are few dynamic markings in the parts although considerable care is taken with articulation. The style and notation of these have been standardised throughout, and, where missing from the source, markings have been reconstructed from parallel passages. These are indicated by the use of dotted slurs or brackets.
