This book Modern Piano contains 90 easy original pieces from the 20th and 21st centuries. The pieces selected display a great variety of styles including New Music, neoclassicism, modern dances, jazz, blues, pop, rock, musical studies, meditative music, New Age music and more besides: a colourful range of different styles, sometimes blurring the distinction between classical and popular music in 'crossover' pieces that bridge the gap between different musical worlds.

The little pieces selected invite us to go on a musical journey of discovery, introducing new experiences using modern sounds and rhythms. The three-volume collection Mini Maestro presents little piano pieces advancing progressively from very easy to intermediate level, presented in chronological order across five centuries from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras through to jazz, pop and minimal music. At the end of each volume - under the heading More fun to play together - there are three additional pieces for piano duet. All the pieces are easy to learn and offer varied repertoire as an ideal supplement to any piano tutorial method with music suitable for concert performance, tuition purposes, examinations and competitions. .

Book 1 contains pieces in the five-finger range at various pitches, followed by pieces spanning an octave range with simple rhythms and easy chord sequences. Also featured are differing styles of articulation, melody in the left hand, octave or ottava signs, pieces in major and minor keys with key signatures of up to one sharp or flat. .

Book 2 contains pieces with an extended range of two octaves and chord sequences with three or four parts, including inversions. Other features include using the pedal, simple ornaments, basic polyphony, differentiating melody and accompaniment, pieces in major and minor keys with key signatures of up to two sharps or flats. .

Book 3 contains pieces with a range of up to four octaves with more demanding rhythms and speeds. Also included are subtle contrasts in tone, playing with expression, playing more than one part with one hand and advanced polyphony in major and minor keys with key signatures of up to three sharps or flats.

This book offers a varied spectrum of very easy pieces from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras, including works by Beethoven, Charpentier, Haydn, Humperdinck, Mozart, Praetorius, Reinagle or Schubert, as well as easy folk tunes and canons, which are excellent for class teaching. The repertoire enriches the daily exercises and any double bass tutor. All pieces can be played in half and first position, using easy rhythms and meters, easily playable major and minor keys, easy bowing and articulation as well as easy dynamics from piano to forte, crescendo and decrescendo. All pieces are included on CD. This book is a treasure trove for beginners and can be used even earlier than the first book in the series "Easy Concert Pieces" (Schott ED 22551).

When the clarinet method was revised and newly published, the Daily Exercises, which were originally a part of the Clarinet Method Op. 63 by Carl Baermann, were published as a separate edition. The essential improvement consists in the arrangement of the individual exercises, which simplifies their use in teaching practice. As with the two volumes of the Clarinet Method, the musical text is based on the first edition of the method, and only few differences concerning articulation as well as several misprints and typographical errors were revised. By deleting the historical fingering instructions for the German fingering system, the clarinet method not only has a clean and, compared to the original, more clearly structured layout, but can also be used universally. By adding exercises with fourths, fifths, sevenths and octaves, the Daily Exercises contain everything that is necessary for the thorough technical education of a clarinettist and thus are an independent volume that can be used either as a supplement to the Baermann method or totally independently of it.

Thanks to the revision by Robert Erdt, the result is a textbook that is oriented towards the original as regards content and, at the same time, has been adjusted to the current times with regard to language, education and instrumental technique so that this clarinet method by Carl Baermann can maintain its position in modern clarinet lessons as important educational literature for the classical clarinet.
