When i first herd this song, for me this was painting a picture of someone who was an addict, where they seemed the life of the party , and was having such a good time, however , using to feel a certain way -whether that be normal, happy, to fit in, loved,.. how ever, addiction cripples those persons effected may truly feel lonely and empty .
I debated with myself if this is what cause i wanted to support and hopefully shed some light on, addiction and everything and every person this effects.It was the next day , i had learned a friend and former co-worker had committed suicide after a long struggle with addition. I knew then that this decision was the right one.

The lines should not be incredibly challenging though, and it is presented in such a way that whether up or down tempo, it's still fun to play. I did like playing most of the pieces up-tempo, though! My top favorite pieces are #5- "Forget-Me-Not", #6 - "Cotton Candy Rag", #11 - "High Country Stomp" (it's nice got a nice lilting feel) and #12- "Green Mountain Saunter." There is a great variety, and each piece has a memorable melody. Grab a flutist friend and play these! The only feature I as a performer corrected when my friend and I played them thru was to 8 va some of the too low 2nd parts. Arranged from Beethoven?s Piano Sonata No. 20, this isa simple but interesting work in two movements showing the composers sense ofhumor. The first movement ?Allegro ma non troppo? and the second movement?Tempo di Menuetto? are both in the key of G. Both Sonatas 19 and 20 (op. 49,No. 1 & 2) are named ?Easy Sonatas? because they are technically easierthan the usual Beethoven Sonatas. This makes them very popular among studentsand teachers alike.

Ludwig vanBeethoven (1770 ?1827) was certainly a German pianist. Aboveall, he was probably one of the greatest composers in history. As a result, heis a pivotal character in the progress between the Classical and Romantic periods.He is certainly one of the most famous and hence important of all composers.Seems like his most familiar and noteworthy works include symphonies 1-9; pianoconcertos 1-5; and furthermore, the violin concerto. Also, certainly of extremeimportance are the noteworthy 32 sonatas for the piano; the string quartets1-16; the Missa solemnis; and likewise, his only opera, Fidelio.

Beethoven Overview
First of all, Beethoven was born andconsequently raised in Bonn. Upon turning 21 he moved to Vienna probablyto study composition with Haydn. That?s when he consequently grew areputation as a brilliant pianist. Furthermore, he probably stayed in Viennathe rest of his life. In his late 20s it seems like his hearing certainly beganto decline. It slowly declined until consequently he was nearly totally deafprobably by the last decade of his life. As a result, he stopped conducting andperforming. Nevertheless, he continued to compose. As a result, some of hisgreatest works probably come from this period.

First Period
Seems like we often divideBeethoven?s life into three periods. Period 1 begins with Beethoven?s arrivalin Vienna. Hence, during this period, he mastered the Viennese style of Haydn& Mozart. He consequently began increasing the size and scale of his works.Furthermore, he experimented with extreme dynamics, and likewise extreme tempi.He worked similarly with chromatic harmony. His First and Second Symphoniestherefore belong to this period. Other important works also belong here: the firstsix string quartets and the Sonata Pathétique, Op. 13.

Second Period
His second period probably began assoon as he realized that he was going deaf. During this period, it seems likehe became obsessed with the idea of heroism. His works consequently become evenlarger and more massive. The most noteworthy of these include the symphonies 3? 8, piano concertos 5& 6, 5 string quartets, several important piano sonatas(Waldstein and Appassionata), the Kreutzer violinsonata, the violin concerto and his only opera: Fidelio.

Third Period
In contrast, Beethoven's thirdperiod is branded above all by works of incredible intellectual depth, formalinnovation, and penetrating expression. It seems like he continued to expandhis works. Consequently, the string quartet Op. 131 spills over into sevenconnected movements. Likewise, in the Ninth Symphony he adds choral forcesto his orchestra probably for the first time in history. Even more, otherworks from this period include his Missa solemnis, the final 5string quartets (including the enormous Große Fuge) and the finalfive sonatas for piano.

The theme song from Halloween ranks as one of the creepiest movie theme songs ever. It was first composed in 1978, and is still creeping people out just as strong as ever. Critics have grumbled about it being too simple, but that's what makes this piece so memorable.

Set at a time signature of 5/4 throughout, this arrangement is scored for 2 C flutes, alto, and bass. Each of these 4 parts have 2 part divisis at one point or other. Optional contrabass and cello parts are also included.

It goes without saying that this piece should be played in a cold and mechanical manner. It definitely isn't a "pretty" piece. The lower instruments should be strong, while the upper instruments tip toe on top. If you would like to add a little more interest to the piece, an egg shaker could be played at every beat.

This will give your audience the heebie jeebies.

This piece is simple enough for musicians with intermediate skill.

Duration: 2.25 minutes

A simple setting of this pretty carol for flute quintet (2 C flutes, 2 Alto flutes and a Bass flute). Each verse the pitch goes up by a tone until the final verse which returns to the original key. Everybody except the bass flute has a go at the melody and each verse is harmonised in a different syle.

Verse 1 is a solo for Flute 1, Verse 2 is a duet for Flute 1 and Alto Flute 2. Verse 3 adds the Alto flute 1 and Bass, Verse 4 is the first verse with all instruments playing. Verse 5 is a trio for Altos 1 & 2 and Bass. Verse 6 uses all instruments for the finale.

This is a very simple arrangement and should be playable by any standard of ensemble.

10 Latin Duets is an exciting collection of original compositions by David McKeown, arranged as duets for two Flutes.

Each piece explores a different style and flavour of Latin music, from the Rumbas, Salsas and Mambos of Cuba, to the Sambas and Bossas of Brazil, and on to the Calypsos and Merengues of the Caribbean. Mexico is represented by the Huapango, Venezuela and Colombia by the Joropo, and Argentina and Uruguay by the Tango.

Silver Wedding, (Die Silberne Khasene in Yiddish), is a Jewish Folk tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for two Flutes.

Jewish Wedding bands, prominent in early twentieth century New York, were well placed to take advantage of the phonograph recording revolution. Accordingly, we are fortunate to have a rich record of the musical style of the time. Silver Wedding first appeared in a 1915 recording by Abe Elenkrig?s Orchestra. Elenkrig was born in Ukraine, which may point to the origins of the tune. Silver Wedding is in a Bulgar style, a happy piece designed to escort the newly-weds from the ceremony to the feast.

Silver Wedding is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. The melody is in three sections; overall the tune is played twice with a short introduction and coda and with constant variations in the accompaniment. Silver Wedding is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of around three minutes, this version of Silver Wedding is perfect for weddings, celebrations and concert performances, both formal and informal. This gospel version of Amazing Grace is arranged as a duet for two Flutes. Written in 1773 by John Newton and set to the traditional melody New Britain, Amazing Grace is perhaps the best-known and best-loved hymn in the world.

John Newton, led a dissolute life as sailor in the slave trade for many years before marriage, along with a close encounter with death at sea, dramatically changed his perspective. He lived out his later years as a devout and charismatic clergyman in the English countryside, renowned for his direct and personal style.
