24 all original Flute duets for intermediate to advanced players by Keri Degg. Containing a multitude of styles from Swing, Celtic, contemporary, classical, Rock and more, these are a must have for the intermediate to advanced player wanting to improve their playing.

As the duets are all original, no 'cheating' can take place by already knowing the melodies so good tactical mathematical skills must be employed. Some of the duets zone in on intonation, others on rhythmic precision, or expression. There are a number of light hearted duets in the collection which provide welcome relief amidst exam study work (after all, music should be fun too!).

The duets are designed for 2 C flutes (B foot/feet are not required). Or, for a giggle.... try them on two piccolo's (ear defenders are not included however...).

The duets stick mainly to the keys and note ranges for the given grades but there are occasional exceptions (in our opinion this is good preparation for what is to come ahead) and generally the lower Flute part (Flute 2) is a little easier in standard (although often the melody line will switch from player to player to share the tune and encourage sympathetic listening skills).

Apologies for the (rather poor) audio file; it's a digital interpretation of 'The Chase' - a comedy duet from the collection. They sound amazing on real instruments! There are 23 more duets too remember.

I have arranged this firstly in the key of C. I tried to keep as much of the original as possible in terms of detail and some of the difficult octaves and hard to reach chords have been carefully arranged. What I wanted to do was to give intermediate pianists who were perhaps not quite ready for the full version, an opportunity to play a version of it, also for pianists who would appreciate a slightly modified approach.
I didn't want an "easy" version as such,but one that retains the qualities of the original. It is a beautiful piece which can be used for concerts, recitals, weddings,celebrations etc
I have listed this as Advanced intermediate, but it crosses the line to Intermediate on a number of ocassions.

Canon in C arranged especially for the advanced/intermediate player with a 23-26 string small harp (C-to-C). 4 pages. Ideal page turning spot is on page 2. This has been adapted from my arrangement of Canon in D for small harp, also available on this site. The lever changes have been taken out, making this perfect for a lever-less harp tuned in C. Some fingering suggestions have been included. The video you'll hear is of Canon in D for small harp.

This is my 2 piano arrangement of C.P.E. Bach's famous Solfeggietto (solfeggio) in C minor for the piano. I know there are other arrangements our there for 2 performers. Mine is just another addition.

The original piano part is based the the autograph manuscript with some edits. I hardly made any edits in dynamic markings or phrases. I will leave that up to the teacher and the performer. Enjoy.

The well-known soothing Prelude in C from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Das wohltemperierte Klavier" is arranged especially for the 22-string travel harp. It contains lever changes. This arrangement includes a version with lever notations (diamond note method) and fingering suggestions. The range is from A below the small C (C3) to A above the treble staff (A2-A5).

The arrangement remains true to the original, but includes the "Schwencke measure" = m. 23 and some necessary octaviations to accommodate the smaller 22-string travel harp. Charles Gounod used this version to compose his beautiful Ave Maria melody. .

Emmerson, Lake and Palmer created exciting rock arrangements of classic works. Johan de Wit is now rearranging the tables as a tribute to ELP. The famous song "C?est la vie" in a classically oriented quartet.

This is an instrumental (in C major) using a ukulele chord melody styleof play with both finger picking and chords. A low-g tuning is required. The melody and the chord progression arethose of Harold Arlen rather than the accompaniment chords of Brother Iz. This is not intended to be an accompanimentto singing. In this duet version one ukulele plays only chords and base runswhile the other plays the chord melody arrangement.

Paul Dessau, whose collaboration with Bertolt Brecht made a significant impression in the consciousness of music-lovers, is an extremely versatile composer. Two short pieces from his piano works are now published for the first time: the unconventional study on "B-A-C-H" and the "Intermezzo breve", whose tempo marking "Grotewohl tempo" serves to point its dedication to the politician Otto Grotewohl.

A lever harp arrangement of Merry Go Round of Life by Joe Hisaishi from Howl?s Moving Castle. It can be tricky to play on the harp but it?s definitely very beautiful! For this arrangement, I tried to preserve as many harmonies as possible. In the video, the tempo played at is around 70bpm (slower than the original) to give enough time for the many lever changes. But the tempo can of course be adjusted according to skill level.

Suitable for advanced intermediate level players on lever harps tuned in Eb major. Sheet music has lever change markings indicated. A guide to the harp octaves has been included in the PDF.
