Coldplay's 2014 hit "A Sky Full Of Stars," co-written and produced with Avicii, was an instant top 10 hit on the charts in 16 countries and received a Grammy nomination. The song was Coldplay's first dance track, but the lyrics are more along the lines of a sweet love ballad, making this song a popular request for weddings and receptions. This Cellobat arrangement for violin and cello duet was originally commissioned for a wedding ceremony, but it's also perfect for pop concerts, solo & ensemble contests, receptions, parties, and even proposals -- with its beautiful soaring melodies and driving beat, it will be sure to get your audience dancing! Rated advanced-intermediate for some tricky syncopated rhythms (the same ones repeat throughout), but this arrangement will be playable for students and sightreadable for professionals.

Clocks is an enormously-successful song by the British rock band Coldplay.
It was released in 2002 on the band?s second studio album A Rush of Blood to the Head.

The iconic, modal piano theme, contrapuntal melodies and classical structure make it highly suited to
arrangement for solo instruments and ensembles.

This arrangement is ideal for concert works, encores, wedding repertoire and background music. It is technically and musically appropriate for players of an intermediate/advanced standard.

Some bars present players with considerable technical challenges so alternative solutions are offered.

This version of Coldplay's 'Yellow' transforms a rock song into a fingerstyle ballad. It is arranged for the more-experienced guitarist and will make a very original and popular item for concerts, background music, weddings and general repertoire.

The opening requires use of high positions - ideally a cutaway guitar. I have provided an alternative opening at the end of the arrangement.

'Yellow' was Coldplay's first major UK success when it was released from their album 'Parachutes' in 2000.
