?Locusiste? is a sacred motet composed by Anton Bruckner on 11 August 1869. The Latintext is used for the annual celebration of a church's dedication. The incipit translatesto "This place was made by God", with the text concentrating on theconcept of the sacred place, based on the Biblical story of Jacob's Ladder,Jacob's saying "Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not"(Genesis 28:16), and the story of the burning bush where Moses is told"put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standestis holy ground" (Exodus 3:5).

Brucknerset it for four unaccompanied voices, intended for the dedication of theVotivkapelle at the New Cathedral in Linz, Austria, where Bruckner had been acathedral organist from 1855 to 1868. It was the first motet that Brucknercomposed in Vienna. It was published in 1886, together with three other gradualmotets, and was premiered on 29 October 1869.

The arrangement may be a little challenging for the beginner, as there are some relatively involved rhythms, but it follows the original very closely so the students may well know the song. It would be fine for intermediate players.

The parts are copied and laid out very clearly to facilitate a fun, easy to play experience.

In addition, there is an optional piano accompaniment part. The part contains notation similar to the sax parts, so could act as a prompt. There are also large font chord symbols for variation or improvisation of the accompaniment. The part could also be handed out to a rhythm section for even more fun.

Linus and Lucy is a popular jazz pianocomposition written by Vince Guaraldi, appearing in many of the Peanutsanimated television specials. Named for the fictional siblings Linus and Lucyvan Pelt, it was released in 1964 on the Vince Guaraldi Trio's album Jazz Impressions of a Boy Named CharlieBrown. A Charlie Brown Christmas introduced thesong to a television audience of millions of children beginningin 1965. Since that special, the piece has introduced most of the Peanuts TVcartoons, with the exceptions of the specials and other TV programs producedbetween 1979 and 1992. Sakura Sakura ("Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms"), also known as Sakura, is a traditional Japanese folk song depicting spring, the season of cherry blossoms. Contrary to popular belief, the song did not originate in ancient times; it was a popular, urban melody of the Edo period and was adopted as a piece for beginning koto students in the Tokyo Academy of Music Collection of Japanese Koto Music issued in 1888 (in English) by the Department of Education. The song has been popular since the Meiji period, and the lyrics in their present form were attached then. It is often sung in international settings as a song representative of Japan. The famous Jazz standart "Four brothers" written by Jimmy Giuffre in an arrangement for Saxophone Quartet (Alto 1 + 2, Tenor, Baritone). The title was originally played by the saxophon section of the Woody Herman orchestra (3 tenor saxes and 1 bariton sax) which was named "Four Brothers" after that song.

Small classic style composition for saxophone quartet.

Super Mario Bros was a super popular Nintendo game, but I think the song was even more so. Back in the 80's, game music was written to attract attention to the game itself, rather than enhance the player's experience during the game. It was more or less, just a catchy tune. However, when Koji Kondo wrote the music to Super Mario Bros, he created it as an active part of the game. This idea would help change game music forever.

I feel as if I don't need to give any comments on how to play this piece, but I will say that in the interest of not inundating the sheet music with dots everywhere, this song should be played staccato throughout the piece unless otherwise noted.

This piece has a lot of syncopation, but it is repetitive, so musicians with intermediate skills should be able to play this piece.
