String Ensemble,String Trio Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549785 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Concert,Sacred,Standards,World. Score and parts. 23 pages. Jmsgu3 #3536083. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549785). Mozart's Romanze from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525 for Piano Trio (Violin, Cello and Piano). Duration: ca. 7:00. Score: 11 pages. Violin: 4 pages, Cello: 2 pages, piano: 4 pages. This is one of the most beloved works in all of Mozart's catalog making it a strong choice for a recital, meditation, nightclub, church or wedding reception. Eine kleine Nachtmusik Eine kleine Nachtmusik is also at the same time known as Serenade No. 13. Indeed, we find it listed in the Köchel Catalog as K. 525. With this in mind, Mozart composed the piece by all means in 1787 probably as a commission. To clarify, the title translates as a little night-music. Mozart originally scored the work in particular for an ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with double bass (optional). In modern times the work is certainly usually performed by string orchestras, though it is often in fact performed by a string quartet – with or without double bass. Publication A point often overlooked is that the name of the work derives from the entry Mozart made in his private journal. He wrote: Eine kleine Nacht-Musik. This explains that Mozart was probably not naming the piece, but only entering a record that he had completed it. Nevertheless, the work was published by and large in 1827. It had been sold to the publisher for the most part in 1799 by Mozart's widow Constanze. Nowadays, it is on balance extensively performed and recorded. Some critics ultimately claim that it is the most popular of all Mozart's works. Early Years Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), was a productive and significant Austrian classical composer. Mozart displayed unusual musical capability from his earliest childhood. It seems like he was already capable on keyboard and violin at the age of two. He started composing at age five and performed before European royalty. Middle Period At 17, Mozart was working as a musician at the Salzburg Royal court but grew agitated from boredom and traveled to search for a more interesting job. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was summarily dismissed from his Salzburg job. Nevertheless, he decided to stay in the capital (Vienna), where he achieved much fame but little economic haven. Throughout his concluding years in the Capital, he composed many of his most famous works: symphonies, operas, and concertos. Final Period The conditions surrounding his death have been much the subject of much conjecture and mythology. He composed more than 600 works, many recognized as highpoints of symphonic, chamber, concertante, choral and operatic. He is among the most everlastingly popular of classical composers, and his impact is substantial on succeeding Western art music. String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1202559 Composed by W. A. Mozart (1756 – 1791). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Contest,Festival,Standards. Score and parts. 125 pages. Jmsgu3 #800938. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1202559). Sonata No. 6, “Durnitz†for String OrchestraScore and performance parts:  Score: 66 pages. Duration: ca. 29:28 Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, also known as the Durnitz Sonata, is a solo piano piece composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1775. It is one of Mozart's more complex and ambitious sonatas and is generally regarded as one of his greatest works for the instrument. The sonata is divided into three movements:1.   Allegro - The first movement is a fast-paced and energetic sonata-allegro form, characterized by its lively theme and virtuosic passages. The movement begins with a bold and dramatic opening statement, followed by a series of contrasting themes and variations. The development section explores new harmonic and rhythmic territory, while the recapitulation brings the movement full circle with a restatement of the main themes.2.   Rondeau en Polonaise - The second movement is a graceful and elegant rondo in the style of a polonaise, a popular dance of the time. The main theme is a lilting melody that is first presented by the right hand and then repeated with variations throughout the movement. The middle section features a contrasting theme in a minor key, which is then developed and expanded upon in the latter half of the movement.3.   Theme and Variations - The final movement is a set of six variations on a theme, which is introduced at the beginning of the movement. Each variation explores a different aspect of the theme, from playful embellishments to dramatic flourishes. The final variation brings the piece to a rousing and triumphant close.Overall, Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284, is a masterful example of the composer's virtuosity and innovation and remains a beloved and influential work in the piano repertoire. Mozart's Sonata in D major, K. 284 is also known as the Dürnitz Sonata because it is believed to have been composed for Count Johann Joseph Anton von Dürnitz, an accomplished amateur flautist who was a patron of Mozart.Mozart was in Munich in 1775, and he met Dürnitz there. According to Mozart's letters to his father, Dürnitz played the flute very well, and Mozart was impressed by his abilities. It is believed that Mozart composed this sonata specifically for Dürnitz, who may have performed it with Mozart accompanying him on the piano. No concrete evidence supports the theory that the sonata was named after Dürnitz, but it is widely accepted as the most likely explanation for the nickname. In any case, the sonata remains one of Mozart's most popular and beloved works for solo piano.

Classical,Holiday,Standards,Wedding. 11 pages. RayThompsonMusic #13291. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.553211). Probabaly the most well known of Mozart’s piano Sonatas. The Piano Sonata No. 16 in C major, K. 545, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was described by Mozart himself in his own thematic catalogue as for beginners, and it is sometimes known by the nickname Sonata facile or Sonata semplice. I have arranged the first movement. Mozart’s tempo is crotchet/quarter note = 126: I have reduced the tempo to 120..it seems less rushed for wind instruments! Written for natural horn in C basso (alt horn in F provided) Good practise for scales and arpeggios!! I have added some judicious notes of my own, here and there, to thicken the harmony, and also taken some liberties with the semiquaver passage in bars 14-17 etc.

Large Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Double Bass,Horn,Oboe,Piccolo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1038136 Composed by Bela Bartok. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,Classical,Folk. Score and parts. 46 pages. RayThompsonMusic #643066. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1038136). The complete set arranged wind dectet and bass Romanian Folk Dances Sz. 56, BB 68 is a suite of six short piano pieces composed by Béla Bartók in 1915. He later orchestrated it for small ensemble in 1917 as Sz. 68, BB 76. It is based on seven Romanian tunes from Transylvania, originally played on fiddle or shepherd's flute. The original name for the piece was titled Romanian Folk Dances from Hungary but was later changed by Bartók when Transylvania became part of Romania in 1920. It is nowadays available in the 1971 edition which is written with key signatures although Bartók rarely ever used key signatures. This set of dances consists of six movements and, according to the composer, it should take four minutes and three seconds to perform, but most professional pianists take up to five minutes. The list of the movements is as follows (with the original Hungarian title listed first, the most commonly known Romanian title second, and the English translation in parentheses): Bot tánc / Jocul cu bâtă (Stick Dance)The melody of the first movement, according to Bartók, came from the Mezőszabad (present-day Voiniceni) village that was part of Mezőcsávás (present-day Ceuașu de Câmpie) commune which was located in the Maros-Tordaadministrative county within Transylvania, and he first heard it when two gypsy violinists were playing it. Brâul (Sash Dance)The second movement is a typical dance from Romania called Brâul, for which traditionally a sash or a waistband was used. This melody came from Egres (present-day Igriș), in the Banat region. Topogó / Pe loc (In One Spot)The third dance comes also from Egres (Igriș), but its theme is much darker and its melody recreates Middle Eastern instruments, such as the flute.[4] Bucsumà tánc / Buciumeana (Dance from Bucsum)The fourth dance came from Bucsony, Alsó-Fehér County (today Bucium, Alba county in Romania) Román polka / Poarga Românească (Romanian Polka)The fifth dance is an old Romanian dance similar to the Polka and comes from Belényes (present-day Beiuş, in Bihor county), near the border between Hungary and Romania. Aprózó / Mărunțel (Fast Dance)The sixth and last dance is formed by two different melodies: the first one comes from Belényes (present-day Beiuș) and the second one comes from the then named Nyagra (present-day Neagra) village within the Palotailva (present-day Lunca Bradului) commune. Both on the orchestral version and on the original piano version, the final two dances are performed attacca-without a break between movements.

Accordion,Double Bass,Guitar - Digital Download SKU: A0.1068889 Composed by Lars Ek. Folk,World. Full Performance. Duration 206. Lars Ek Cosmos Music c/o Musik & Underhållningsskrädderiet AB #1921477. Published by Lars Ek Cosmos Music c/o Musik & Underhållningsskrädderiet AB (A0.1068889). Something quite astonishing has happened in the Swedish accordion world during the last couple of years, we´ve got a new idol. It´s astonishing in two different ways: for us who know the accordion world it´s a fact that Lars Ek has been around as a professional accordionist for almost 20 years, since he finished school, second: he has become an idol playing music and in a style that has it´s roots 50 years back in the accordion music history. One could say that Lars Ek, today 35 years old, should have been 85, active in the 30´s. Himself, he confess that he feels kind of secret longing back to a time when accordionists were equilibrists, when accordionists played in a brilliant way, the golden age it was for all accordion music all over the world, an age that we will never meet again. It´s a type of music which is historical but not belonging to the museums, not dead, it´s a typical of music filled with life. Very much so thanks to Lars Ek. It´s a quite notable situation. Lars Ek has been playing the accordion for a long time, he has been playing all types of music that can be played on an accordion. Just some few years ago he met, via phonograph records, the music of Nils Lind and Ragge Sundquist (two legendary Swedish performers from the 30´s and the 40´s, both dead since long ago - they both founded a school and a style) and, of course, also Frosini. And then, finally, Lars Ek felt that it was exactly here, in this style where he belonged. Lars Ek finally came home. Some sloppy listeners say that Lars Ek is copying the music of Nils Lind. Those are listeners who don´t listen. Others say that Lars is a maniac - he plays on an accordion of the Raggie Sundquist brand from 1937 and since a couple of years he also owns and plays an accordion once owned by Pietro Frosini, manufactured in 1927. That´s not mania. The style asks for such instruments. It´s most correct that way. Lars Ek has become incredibly popular. There are many reasons. He has lots of personality, he is a stage personality, he shows enthusiasm and joy while performing, he knows how to attract an audience (and the girls say he´s very handsome). One other reason is that the music Lars performs finds lots of response from the audience. And, please, don´t think it´s only those old ones who were around in the 30´s who love the music - so do even the young ones! Lars Ek x 2 is the name of the record. The explanation is simple. Lars wasn´t able to find a second accordionist to assist him. So, thanks to the technique he is his own second accordionist himself in five of the tunes performed. There is one more explanation. Lars performs melodies linked to the names of Nils Lind, Ragge Sundquist and Frosini, but he also plays five compositions of hes own. Just to show how he wants accordion music to be composed. Lars Ek does not need any recommendation, his records sell anyway. But you´re going to get some final words. This records is, regarding style, very rare to be recorded in 1982, it´s a matter of looking back and to do so with lots of skill, a look back that golden age of the accordion. It´s also a very personal record. The inspiration may very well be Nils Lind, Ragge Sundquist and Pietro Frosini. But it´s Lars Ek who plays. In his personal way. Which means that this is a record played in a very personal way.

Accordion,Bass Voice,Clarinet,Drum Set,Piano,Tenor Saxophone,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.734382 Composed by Terry Rendall and Werner Thomas. Arranged by Dennis Ruello. 20th Century,Comedy,Contemporary,Pop,Traditional. 14 pages. Chicory Music #3580587. Published by Chicory Music (A0.734382). The Chicken Dance, also known as the Bird Song, the Birdie Song or the Chicken Song, is an oom-pah song and its associated fad dance is now a contemporary dance throughout the Western world. The song was composed by accordion player Werner Thomas from Davos, Switzerland, in the 1950s.The name of the original Swiss song was Der Ententanz (The Duck Dance). It is rumored to be a drinking song sung at Oktoberfest. Sometime in the late 1970s, the song acquired the name Vogeltanz (The Bird Dance) or Vogerltanz (Little Bird Dance or Birdie Dance), although these names never caught on seriously in Germany. On some sheet music and recordings it is called Dance Little Bird. It appears that no one in Germany uses the term Kükentanz or Huhn/Hühnertanz (Küken means chick, Huhn/Hühner means chicken (sg./pl.)). Since 1963, Werner Thomas had played it in restaurants and hotels. During one of Thomas' performances, Belgian producer Louis van Rijmenant heard the song. Van Rijmenant had some lyrics created and in 1970 released it to the public through his publishing company Intervox Music (later on co-publishing with his other company Eurovox Music) without much success. However, on subsequent releases of the song, Van Rijmenant was listed as co-author under the pen name of Terry Rendall. Eurovox Music now manages the publishing rights worldwide, except for the US (September Music), UK (Valentine Music) and the Netherlands (Benelux Music), sub-publishers. The dance and song was originally brought from Germany to the US by Eddie Duling and Larry Karhoff of Glandorf, Ohio in 1974. This arrangement includes: Full Score, Vocal (Opt.), Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano/Accordion, Tuba, Acoustic Bass (Tuba sub.) and Drum Set. Performance time approx, 2 minutes 52 seconds,

The violinist, conductor and composer Béla Kéler, by his birth name Albert Paul von Kéler, was born at 13th of February 1820 in the house No. 41 at town hall square of the city of Bartfeld (today´s Slovakian name: Bardejov). After his studies of music in LevoÄa, Debrecen and PreÅ¡ov, he obtained the position of first violinist at the „Theater an der Wien in Vienna. The same time he studied harmony, counterpoint and started to compose. Since 1854 he received the position as conductor of the orchestra of Johann Sommer in Berlin, he already used the name Béla Kéler. Later he became leader of the military band under count Mazzuchelli. The last twenty years of his life he spent as leader of the spa-orchestra in Wiesbaden and was devoted on composing. Piano trio - intermediate - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q43269 From the Idyll At Twilight. Composed by Zdenek Fibich. Arranged by Wolfgang Birtel. This edition: score and parts. Bohemia - idyll - Symphonic Poem. Downloadable, Score and parts. Op. 39. Schott Music - Digital #Q43269. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q43269). The fact that the Bohemian composer Zdenek Fibich (1850-1900) is in the shadow of Smetana and Dvorák is totally unjustified because he, too, was instrumental in the foundation of the Czech national school. His best-known work is probably the subsidiary theme from his symphonic poem 'At Twilight' which has become famous under the name of 'Poème'. The violinist Jan KubelÃk played this tune under this title since 1908, and as such the work has become known and, with its catchy charm, is now one of the most popular classical themes.
