As in the original collection, this is a delightful collection of intermediate to advanced-intermediate level duets based on traditional Christmas carols. They are challenging at times (not for beginners) without being overwhelming; at times joyful, at times uplifting, at times serene. There's even a very jazzy version of Go Tell It on the Mountain! In addition to being a joy for friends to play together, they are a great resource for teachers to play at lessons with their students, they are are suitable for informal Christmas performances, and many are appropriate for church services. Note: the duets in this collection have NOT been arranged to be fully compatible with Mr. Baird's duet collections for other instruments. Instead, these have been arranged specifically for flutes. This collection does include the duets found in previously released Five More Christmas Duets for Flutes by Mr. Baird. Included in Christmas Duets, Volume 2, are: Carol of the Bells, Ding Dong! This gospel version of Amazing Grace is arranged as a duet for two Flutes. Written in 1773 by John Newton and set to the traditional melody New Britain, Amazing Grace is perhaps the best-known and best-loved hymn in the world.

John Newton, led a dissolute life as sailor in the slave trade for many years before marriage, along with a close encounter with death at sea, dramatically changed his perspective. He lived out his later years as a devout and charismatic clergyman in the English countryside, renowned for his direct and personal style.

Amazing Grace is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, though some of the rhythms in the third verse may be a challenge for less experienced players. With a performance time of around three and a half minutes, this version of Amazing Grace is perfect for worship and concert performances, both formal and informal.

When i first herd this song, for me this was painting a picture of someone who was an addict, where they seemed the life of the party , and was having such a good time, however , using to feel a certain way -whether that be normal, happy, to fit in, loved,.. how ever, addiction cripples those persons effected may truly feel lonely and empty .
I debated with myself if this is what cause i wanted to support and hopefully shed some light on, addiction and everything and every person this effects.It was the next day , i had learned a friend and former co-worker had committed suicide after a long struggle with addition. I knew then that this decision was the right one.
