String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1167738 Composed by Johannes Brahms (1833 – 1897). Arranged by James M. Guthrie. 19th Century,Chamber,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period,Wedding. 38 pages. Jmsgu3 #768067. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1167738). The 14 Deutsche Volkslieder WoO 34 is a collection of 14 German folk songs harmonized by Brahms. These songs, composed between 1858 and 1868 and published in two volumes in 1869 and 1877, include secular and sacred pieces. Dedicated to the Vienna Singacademie, they are considered significant as they showcase Brahms' skill in arranging and harmonizing folk melodies. The pieces draw on traditional German folk songs from various regions and periods. The collection includes a variety of styles and topics, from love songs to religious hymns and from drinking songs to dance tunes. The group is a testament to Brahms' interest in folk music and his contribution to preserving and popularizing German folk songs. Brahms' contemporaries reacted positively to his 14 Deutsche Volkslieder WoO 34. Brahms' skill in arranging and harmonizing folk melodies was highly regarded by his contemporaries, and the enduring appeal of these songs is evident in their arrangements for various ensembles, such as mixed choir and wind band. These songs help to preserve and popularize German folk music, reflecting Brahms' dedication to this musical tradition. The pieces are generally lighthearted and lyrical, often performed in concerts and recordings as part of the German choral tradition.Contents:1. Von edler Art2. Mit Lust tät ich ausreiten3. Its diversity reflects the small regional and cultural spaces of Switzerland. Influences from other European countries have also shaped this kind of music since the early 19th century. Polka and Mazurka have their roots in Poland, the Scottish in Scotland. The music has been passed on by word of mouth or has been written down in musicians’ notebooks.Between 1940 and 1960, the ethnomusicologist Hanny Christen travelled through Switzerland and collected thousands of melodies from the period between 1800 and 1960. The musicians played or sang in front of her. Some permitted her to write off their own hand-written dance booklets in full. In 1956, Hanny Christen began to record this music with a tape recorder. It is thanks to her that over 12,000 instrumental dance movements of Switzerland and many other pieces of tradition (costumes, biographies, musical instruments etc.) were saved from being forgotten. The instruments used in traditional folk music vary depending on the type of dance and region. Flutes are more or less non-existent. The author would like to fill a gap with this publication. She has therefore adapted one folk dance per canton from the Hanny Christen-collection* for two flutes. The pieces from the cantons of Basel City, Thurgau and Geneva do not come from this source, though. The melodies from the other 23 cantons are taken unchanged from the collection. The second voice was not always composed quite traditional. The melody follows - if possible - a contrapuntal melody of its own and is directed to the flute (difficulty grade 3 +).The editor, Helene Schulthess, is a flutist with a wide repertoire. She lives in Switzerland. She performs as a soloist, makes chamber music and is active as a music teacher. She is involved in various musical projects (www.helene-schulthess.ch).* Swiss Folk Music Collection. The dance music of Switzerland of the 19th and first half of the 20th century. String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1208277 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Wedding. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #805530. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1208277). 3. Allegretto. Beethoven's Bagatelles Op. 33 are quite typical of his early style, retaining many compositional features of the early Classical period.  The first bagatelle in particular is arguably one of Beethoven's most well-known pieces. While they may seem light-hearted and not to be taken too seriously, they are still well-crafted works that embody the younger Beethoven's style. The Bagatelles Op. 33 were composed by Beethoven in 1801-02 and published in 1803. Bagatelles are shorter and less complex than sonatas, often consisting of a single movement. They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert.Beethoven's Bagatelle No. 3 of Op. 33 showcases the composer's evolving style. Bagatelle No. 3 is in ternary form, with a lively and playful A section in F major that features a chromatic mediant relation. The A section is characterized by a rhythmic motif that is repeated throughout the piece, while the B section develops a lyrical melody that modulates briefly to the dominant: C major. The piece ends with a return to the A section, which is played with slight variations. Overall, the Bagatelle No. 3 is a charming and delightful piece that showcases Beethoven's mastery of form and his ability to create memorable melodies.

Trombone Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.810972 Composed by Mueller, Robert. Arranged by Cherry, Gordon. Instructional. Individual part. 208 pages. Gordon Cherry #4309377. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.810972). Albert Robert Mueller (Müller) was a German trombonist born in 1849. He initially received violin lessons and discovered his talent for trombone playing at the age of twelve. He eventually settled in Leipzig and became a member of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra as well as a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He wrote the School for Trombone in 1902. (Wikipedia) The School for Trombone (part of our Vintage Brass Series, not to be confused with the Technical Etudes) is a very detailed and comprehensive book in three volumes totalling 208 pages, the text being divided into German, English and Russian languages. • Volume I includes detailed lessons on music theory including all scales and keys, rhythm, time signatures, rests, accents, accidentals, explanations of tempo markings, dynamics, posture, tone, a table of positions and notes. The lessons go through different keys starting very slowly and methodically with short exercises....not going too fast for the beginning student. Along the way Mueller inserts easy duets to perform with teacher and student, including many Bach chorales, etc. to get tuning and tone solidified. • Volume II for the intermediate level student, begins with the first studies of slurs and legato. He introduces simple songs and famous melodies including more duets. The exercises get progressively more difficult and include the entire collection of ornaments. • Volume III, for the more advanced student, introduces tenor and alto clefs in scales and studies including more duets. 6 Pieces of Joy an Melancholy

Guitar - Digital Download SKU: ZY.DO-1546 Composed by Yorgos Nousis. Score. 9 pages. Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) #DO 1546. Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) (ZY.DO-1546). SIX PIECES OF JOY AND MELANCHOLY is a collection of short pieces with a more melodic and in some cases rhythmic character. The pieces were composed individually for different occasions, but they work together somehow and offer the performer and the audience a roller-coaster sensation through the constant change of mood. Danceuphoria is the opening piece, an uneven, powerful dance which immediately creates an uplifting mood. Melodic Sorrow is a piece dedicated to the memory of my father, Konstantinos Nousis. It's one of the first pieces I wrote for guitar as a teenager. Here you can read an evolved version of that first piece which keeps the simplicity of the primary inspiration.Lifeness is an ode to life piece full of rich colors, melodies and harmonies. Meditation, originally written as the theme music for a Reiki Yoga YouTube channel, is a very slow and meditative piece with short melodic legato lines. Hope evokes warmer feelings. A simplistic piece based on natural harmonies that calms and soothes us.Finally, Cascading Waltz was chosen as the final piece, because it can be freely interpreted by any performer and gives the opportunity for diverse crescendos and accelerandos. The pieces can complement the repertoire of young students as well as professional guitarists who seek a modern yet melodic approach to the guitar.SIX PIECES OF JOY AND MELANCHOLY est une collection de courtes pièces au caractère plus mélodique et, dans certains cas, rythmique. Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.533330 Composed by Marie-Agnès Nataf. Concert,Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #2344341. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.533330). Il fuoco rubato is one of the 3 pieces for piano solo Anamorphoses whose titles areBartoquade I, Bartoquade II b and Il fuoco rubato. These pieces can be linked together as awhole, in that order. The duration is of 5 minutes. They can also be played separately, orgrouped by two (Bartoquades I et II b, duration 3’). The same approach governs the writing ofthese compositions : taking model on works of the repertoire and transforming them as muchas possible while keeping a lot of important parameters. There are many cautionary accidentals. They are not enclosed in brackets to avoidoverloading writing. They are not systematically mentionned. In case of doubt, one willconsider the logic of the composition. When useful, one can distribute differently notesbetween the 2 hands on the condition of respecting the balance between voices. The sign *[on measure 80 means chromatic cluster (F-F#-G). Marie-Agnès NATAF was born on March 2, 1952 at Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the suburbs of Paris, Before deciding to devote herself completely to music, she began by studying both mathematics and musics at the same time. She had a varied base in her musical training, which allowed her to understand the teaching of her main teacher Narcis BONET. She studied the piano, chamber music, musical analysis, harmony and also to a lesser degree the flute, counterpoint and conducting. As a pianist, she received a First Prize in Piano and in Chamber Music at the Orsay Conservatory, the Gold Medla at the National Music School of Cahcan and the Artist Diploma at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – in the class of Germaine MOUNIER. For composition, she studied with Narcis BONET (who later invited her to the Conservatoire Américain of Fontainebleau as accompanist and teacher of French Diction), Yoshihisa TAÃRA, and Edith CANAT de CHIZY. Having taught for a time at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, she is currently professor of piano at the Conservatoire Erik Satie of Villebon-sur-Yvette, Marie-Agnès Nataf has a double career of performer and composer. In both areas, she is especially attracted to chamber music, for the rich musical and human exchanges that this type of music permits. She has written her works Trois mélodies sur des poèmes de Marie-Isabelle SOLANO, Révolte sans paroles and Elan brisé for her colleagues the mezzo-soprano Nicole PARAMYTHIOTTI and the flutiste Isabelle MARCHAL with whom he has given concerts for many years. As a performer, she has premiered works by composers such as Gian-Paolo CHITI, Gloria COATES, Jean-Marie MACHADO, Yoshifumi UMEZAWA, Miao Wen WANG, without speaking of her own compositions. She also tries to discover high quality works of music which are rarely performed, especially works by women composers such as Thérèse BRENET, Dianne GOOLKASIAN-RAHBEE, Ruth LOMON. Her principal works are Trois mélodies sur des poèmes de Marie-Isabelle SOLANO, for mezzo-soprano and piano, 8'30, 1981-83-86. Bartoquade I - Anamorphoses I, 1', et Bartoquade II b - Anamorphoses II, 2', for piano, 1990 revised in 2012. Il fuoco rubato - Anamorphoses III for piano, 2', 1991 revised in 2012. Révolte sans paroles for mezzo-soprano, flute and piano, 16'30, 2000. and Elan brisé and flute and piano, 6'30, 2005. In 2001, on the ocassion of the premier of Révolte sans paroles at the Centre Culturel Jacques Brel of of Villebon-sur-Yvette, she was invited to give a conference on her works at the Conservatoire Erik Satie. In April 2002, her songs were selected by the ensemble North /South Consonance directed by Max LIFCHITZ in a competition. In 2012, the Bartoquades were chosen to be on the list of works proposed by the FFEM for their examination list for intermediate pianists. On the su.

Flute Duet Flute - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1182139 By Helene Schulthess. By Helene Schulthess. Arranged by Helene Schulthess. Chamber,Contest,Festival,Folk,Patriotic,Traditional. Score. 6 pages. Helene Schulthess #781905. Published by Helene Schulthess (A0.1182139). You can purchase all 26 folkdances for 30 $ under this link: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/26-swiss-folk-dances-for-2-flutes-and-accompaniment-digital-sheet-music/21673528The document contents 26 folk dances for two flutes (49 pages) and a score (52 pages)Swiss folk music is very lively. From the estate of Hanny Christen. Edited by Fabian Müller under the auspices of the Society for Folk Music in Switzerland (GVS/SMPS). Music print. Mülirad, Zürich 2002.
