Ten Christmas Carols for 8-note Bells and Boomwhackers® (with Black and White Notes)
Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,…
(+)
Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565351 By Sharon Wilson. By Charles Wesley, George Frideric Handel, Isaac Watts, Johann A. P. Schulz, Rowland Hugh Prichard, Traditional, Traditional French Carol, Various, and tradition English carol. Arranged by Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Christmas,Folk,Sacred,Standards. Score and parts. 87 pages. Sharon Wilson #3927361. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565351). This collection contains 10 Christmas carols arranged for 2-part ensembles using only 8-note instruments. Each song in this collection is notated for handbells on one part and Boomwhackers® on a second part. For each song, there is a combined score with both parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each individual part. A note and chord reference chart is also provided for each song. This set of scores uses black and white noteheads and is best suited for musicians already familiar with reading standard music notation. For beginning musicians, this same set of scores is available (sold separately) with color coded noteheads.Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of these songs. Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, these arrangements are playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one note to each person. Note assignment suggestions are included for each song.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers®   * form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, just to name a few Each of the 10 Christmas Carol arrangements is also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. Titles included in this collection:Angels We Have Heard on HighAs Lately We WatchedCome, All Ye ShepherdsCome, Thou Long Expected JesusThe First NoelHere We Come A-CarolingJoy to the WorldO Come, Little ChildrenO Thou Joyful DaySing We Now of ChristmasBoomwhackers® is a registered trademark of Rhythm Band Instruments, LLC. Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Xylophone - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.569900 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson and Sharon Wilson Music. Children,Folk,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. 22 pages. Sharon Wilson #6642761. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.569900). This sheet music is notated for 13-note (one octave, C to C chromatic scale) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate score for each instrument. A note and chord reference chart is also provided. To aid in the learning and teaching of this song or for use with other instruments (such as a Ukulele), chord names are included on the Boomwhackers® staff and score. Lyrics are provided on the Handbells staff and score for sing along enjoyment or when using this arrangement as the accompaniment for a unison choir. In addition, a complete set of scores for 3 ringers and 3 whackers is provided. Though there are multiple combinations for the number of ringers and whackers needed for any given performance, this extra set of scores is specifically designed for 6 performers with 2 or 3 notes assigned to each player. For each ringer and whacker, the 1-staff score shows only the notes they are assigned. This alternate score format may be easier to sight-read since the only notes on the staff are the assigned notes allowing the player to focus on rhythm. This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to distinguish (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter and eighth rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. All sharps and flats are displayed as well (shown in the key of C); a helpful reminder for beginning musicians. Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this arrangement is playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel. Notes used for each instrument are as follows: Bells ~ C D F G A C* where C* is high C, one octave above middle C Boomwhackers® ~ C D E F A B-flat B Note assignment suggestions are provided. Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers® * form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® * use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, children's ministriesPermission is granted to make as many copies as needed for one family, church, school, or other performing group. Penitent Thief, The
Alto et Harpe
Instrumental Duet Harp,Instrumental Duet,Viola - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.103…

Instrumental Duet Harp,Instrumental Duet,Viola - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1039821 Composed by David M. Sterrett. Classical,Contemporary,Sacred. Score and parts. 49 pages. David Sterrett Music #644665. Published by David Sterrett Music (A0.1039821). This piece depicts the story of the Penitent Thief, one of the two other men who hung on a cross beside Jesus, as told in the Bible: One of the thieves who were hanged by Jesus was hurling abuse at him, saying, 'Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!' But the other answered, and rebuking him, said, 'Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving what we deserve for our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.' And he was saying, 'Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom!' And Jesus said to him, 'Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.' (Luke 23:39-43) I initially set out to portray the scene from a narrative perspective. As I began composing and felt the story resonate more and more with my own spiritual experiences, I decided to shift the focus onto what I imagined the emotional and spiritual experiences of the Penitent Thief were during this brief but transformative interaction with Jesus right before death. While the passage does not describe his internal experience, I imagine that Jesus’ extension of kindness and mercy, along with the promise “Today you will be with me in Paradise,†profoundly impacted him. In composing this, I hoped to convey that transformative encounter. Ultimately, The Penitent Thief depicts an experience familiar to many Christians: that of a lost and broken soul discovering Jesus offers the truth and salvation they long for. To capture the element of dialog, I envisioned the Viola as the Penitent Thief and the Harp as Jesus. Each has a distinct theme/motif. On the cross, the Penitent Thief is consumed by shame, sorrow, and fear of death. His demeanor shifts between moments of quiet contemplation and visceral emotional outbursts. Facing imminent death, he yearns for redemption and truth. He looks at Jesus hanging next to him, blameless and holy. He feels admiration and praise and is overcome by penitence and humility. He calls out, half in desperation, half in worship: “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom…†Jesus, moved by his penitence and belief, responds with kindness and mercy, extending salvation: Today you will be with me in Paradise.†The Penitent Thief imagines Paradise and hopes for this to hold true. His hope becomes briefly overshadowed by lingering doubt and fear. Silence falls. Then, as the hour of death arrives, the man reaches out again and clings to Jesus’ promise, this time with more desperation. His soul suddenly becomes filled with joy, finding the fulfillment of longing, bound with Christ, and knowing that he will soon be at rest in Paradise. At peace, the man gazes upward, gives his final sputtering breath, and his soul departs this world.

Bells,Handbell,Handchime,Piano Accompaniment - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565967 By Sharon Wilson. By George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Baroque,Children,Christmas,Classical,Sacred. 10 pages. Sharon Wilson #6606799. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565967). This sheet music is arranged for a one octave, 13-note chromatic scale Handbell choir with Piano accompaniment. The piano provides an introduction then the Handbells play the melody and occasional 2-part harmony. An optional repeat and second ending is included in case a longer song is desired. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instruments (Handbells and Piano) on a grand staff plus two separate scores for the Handbells (one in standard format with black and white notes and the second with color-coded notes). A color-coded note chart is also provided showing the Handbell notes used for this arrangement as well as the number of times each note is played. The note distribution is helpful when assigning notes to ringers. You may want to assign fewer notes to beginners or evenly distribute the bells between all ringers. The color-coded score is enlarged so the colors are easier to distinguish and all sharps and flats are displayed (shown in the key of C) as reminders for beginning ringers. Also, only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). As noted above, one of the Handbell scores is color-coded for easier note reading for beginning ringers. This separate color-coded score uses the Chroma-Notesâ„¢ Colored Music System. If you have a set of Handbells with a different color scheme, Chroma-Notes Stick Ons can be purchased and applied so the Handbells match this color scheme. Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score. La dulzura del silencio (The Sweetness of Silence), Celtic song by Gustavo Fuentes

Small Ensemble Cello,Flute,Soprano Recorder,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.900399 Composed by Gustavo Fuentes. Arranged by Gustavo Fuentes. Celtic,Folk,Holiday,New Age,World. Score and parts. 3 pages. Gustavo Fuentes #3534751. Published by Gustavo Fuentes (A0.900399). The sweetness of Silence. Celtic music song composed by Gustavo Fuentes, arranged for three voices. Two melody instruments, such as tin whistle, flute, recorder or violin, and low voice like cello or bass, with chords for piano or guitar. The audio is from to the Gustavo Fuentes CD Almas en vuelo that you can listen to on Spotify.Lovers communicate in unique and diverse ways. They use words of love, loving glances and tender caresses to share in the joy of being together. But one of the most enjoyable things a couple can share is silence. Being silent, perhaps holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes, can communicate plenty. Merely knowing the other person is right there by your side with love, affection and understanding is one of the most gratifying feelings in the world. And that is what this song is about: love, lovers and shared silence.
