Small Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Multi-Percussion,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.565163 By Sharon Wilson. By Spiritual. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Folk,Instructional,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 12 pages. Sharon Wilson #3500091. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565163). This sheet music is notated for handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate 1-staff score for each instrument. This set of scores uses colored noteheads corresponding to the Boomwhackers® color scheme. Handbells sold by Rhythm Band or KidsPlay also use this same color scheme (other brands may use different color schemes). Using color coded notes helps beginning musicians learn to read standard sheet music notation. This set of scores is also available (separate purchase) in black and white which will print clearer if you do not have access to a color printer.Notes used for each instrument are as follows: Bells –C D E G A B C* Boomwhackers® – C D E G A Bwhere C* is high C, one octave above middle C  Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this arrangement is playable by any 8-note, C major diatonic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel (though the color coding may not match).Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are full color and easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of this song. The staves are shown without sharps or flats for simplicity since even though this song is actually written in the key of G major, no sharps or flats are used. The number of ringers and whackers needed will vary depending on the skill level of the participants. For more advanced players, each person could be assigned two or three notes. For beginners, it is best to assign one or two notes to each person. Instrument assignment suggestions are provided on the last page for 6 or 10 players.Other suggestions and uses: * have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers®* form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, just to name a few Permission is granted to make up to 10 copies of each score. For more than 10 copies, please purchase additional sets. This arrangement is one of the 10 songs included in the collection Ten Traditional Spirituals for 8-Note Bells and Boomwhackers®.Boomwhackers® is a registered trademark of Rhythm Band Instruments, LLC. Easy Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1374779 By Sharon Wilson. By African-American Spiritual, Conrad Kocher, Edwin O. Excell, Fanny J. Crosby, Folk Song, George Job Elvey, Isaac Watts, John Bacchus Dykes, John Newton, Lelia Naylor Morris, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Robert Lowry. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Christian,Easter,Folk,Holiday,Spiritual. Score. 41 pages. Sharon Wilson #959310. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1374779). Beginner Piano SolosMiddle C PositionFive-Finger formatThis is a collection of 20 hymns and spirituals arranged for beginning piano students. These arrangements are formatted in the traditional five-finger style with the melody split between the hands and without key signatures.  All 20 songs are written in Middle C Position where all notes are played singly centered around Middle C (diagrams are provided showing notes and finger placement). No fingering is notated on the sheet music to encourage students to learn to read the notes instead of using the fingering numbers to play the song. Thus, this collection makes a great sight-reading book, especially if some of the songs are unfamiliar. Some songs require playing the B-flat note in the left hand or the F-sharp note in the right hand. For the few songs that use one of these two black notes, the flats or sharps are displayed beside the note on the staff, not in the key signature (special diagrams are provided showing finger placement for the sharps and flats used). These arrangements are perfect for introducing classic Christian songs to beginning pianists. They can be used as supplementary repertoire for first year piano students. Lyrics are included for sing-along enjoyment.Song titles included in this collection:   Always CheerfulAmazing GraceCount Your BlessingsCrown Him with Many CrownsFootsteps of JesusFor the Beauty of the EarthHoly, Holy, HolyI Have Decided to Follow JesusI Shall Not Be MovedI'm So Glad Jesus Lifted MeJesus Shall ReignJoyful, Joyful, We Adore TheeNearer, Still NearerPeace Is Flowing Like a RiverStand Up! Alto Saxophone,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.844328 Composed by Lyrics: Charles Wesley, Music: Thomas Campbell, published 1738, and published 1825. Arranged by Dan Cutchen. Easter,Gospel,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and part. 15 pages. Dan Cutchen Music #3115903. Published by Dan Cutchen Music (A0.844328). This arrangement of And Can It Be That I Should Gain? is for alto saxophone solo and piano.A theme and variation treatment is used. For a piano background Mp3 track, search for: Alto Sax - And Can It Be? Theme and Variations-Accompaniment Track, Dan CutchenTime: approximately 6:00And Can It Be That I Should Gain? is a Christian hymn written by Charles Wesley. And Can It Be was written in 1738 to celebrate Wesley's conversion, which he regarded as having taken place on May 21 of that year. This beautiful hymn has been popular and enduring. And Can It Be That I Should Gain is perhaps one of the most joyfully poignant hymns penned by Charles Wesley (1707-1788). On Whitsunday (Pentecost), May 21, 1738, three days before his brother John experienced his heart strangely warmed,’ Charles was convalescing in the home of John Bray, a poor mechanic, when he heard a voice saying, In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, arise, and believe, and thou shalt be healed of all thy infirmities. The voice was most likely Mr. Bray’s sister who felt commanded to say these words in a dream.Anglican hymn writer Timothy Dudley-Smith, notes that the following then happened:Charles got out of bed and opening his Bible read from the Psalms: He have put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God, followed by the first verse of Isaiah 40, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. He wrote in his journal, I have found myself at peace with God, and rejoiced in the hope of love Christ (Dudley-Smith, 1987, 1).The statement from Mr. Bray’s sister sparked within Charles a conviction like he had never felt before. Moved and convicted in spirit, Charles wrestled with these words until he came to rest in his faith, knowing that it is by faith we are saved (Ephesians 2:8).Soon after this conversion experience, he wrote two hymns in celebration of the amazing love he had come to know: And Can It Be that I Should Gain and Where Shall My Wondering Soul Begin? (United Methodist Hymnal, 342)There has been some debate as to which hymn was written first, but most current scholarship accepts the latter as the first hymn written by Charles after his conversion experience. No matter its place in the chronology of Wesley's output, And Can It Be has been and remains one of his most remarkable hymns, expressing like no other the rapturous joy of receiving salvation. And Can It Be That I Should Gain. A challenging, unaccompanied, pastoral setting of Thomas Hardy's poem, scored for SATB divisi featuring a high soprano!Regret not me;   Beneath the sunny treeI lie uncaring slumbering peacefully.    Swift as the light   I flew my faery flight;Ecstatically I moved, and feared no night.    I did not know   That heydays fade and go,But deemed that what was would be always so.    I skipped at morn   Between the yellowing corn,Thinking it good and glorious to be born.    I ran at eves   Among the piled-up sheaves,Dreaming, 'I grieve not, therefore nothing grieves.'    Now soon will come   The apple, pear, and plumAnd hinds will sing, and autumn insects hum.    Again you will fare   To cider-makings rare,And junketings; but I shall not be there.    Yet gaily sing   Until the pewter ringThose songs we sang when we went gipsying.    And lightly dance   Some triple-timed romanceIn coupled figures, and forget mischance;    And mourn not me   Beneath the yellowing tree; For I shall mind not, slumbering peacefully.

Piano Accompaniment, Dan CutchenTime: approximately 6:00And Can It Be That I Should Gain? is a Christian hymn written by Charles Wesley.
