This great sounding flexible arrangement can be learned quickly. A good one to pull out of the bag and to slot between harder songs in a concert. There is a good amount of unison but harmony where it matters. Most of the melody is in the Alto and Bass lines, so your Sopranos and Tenors get some lovely, easy harmonies. Nothing particularly high or low. The Tenor line can be sung by low Alto voices. It works just as well without the Bass line and will even work with just the Soprano and Alto lines.The originial in in Emajor, whilst this version is in G major.

Its sounds just as good without the Bass part and therefore could be easily managed by an all female choir. The chorus section goes quite low, so it's probably not suitable for children's voices. I have added the individual vocal parts to the end of the score, so you can save on printing costs should you wish to do so. I recorded the demo with the backing track from Karaoke Version. Have a listen using the video link below...it's just a bit different and quite nostalgic in feeling.

These passages could be missed out if you prefer to keep things simple.This arrnagement is for Soprano, Alto, Alto2/Tenor and Bass but will work just as well without the Bass, so would also suit a ladies choir.

Published by Barbara Fleet (A0.1180186). This arrangement requires a very competent soloist, either Alto or lower Soprano (or a little group of very good soloists). I have transcribed all the intricacies of the solo from the original recording. The choir come in on the first chorus and everyone gets a bit of the main melody insome of the verses. The choir parts aren't too hard or wide ranging but it is a very satisfying sing for everyone. The Sopranos get some nice high notes in the chorus which they will enjoy. It works very well with just female voices without the Bass part. Be warned, it's a real tear jerker but a beautiful song about how we should tell people how we love them, whilst they are still here. This arrangement is in B flat, a tone higher than the original. Â This would suit an experienced choir but I have included some unison passages to make it more quickly accessible. Although it is SATB It will work just with Soprano and Alto voices (I wouldn't recommend it for a children's choir as the Alto part goes down to an F). Â There is a second Soprano option on a few notes in the chorus, for those who don't like to suddenly sing a top F. The Tenor part could be managed by lower female voices.
