Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1184421). A beautiful, sacred Christmas hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace and text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text:1. Holy Child born in Bethlehem today, Brings a sacred gift... pure peace to ever stay. Mary's newborn Son gives the world true joy, With some heavenly traits not common for a boy.2. Holy Child, veiled in flesh like human souls, Came to live so God's own children could be whole. Baby Jesus came to give his life on earth; Now He can redeem mankind with endless worth.3. Holy Child came from Father up above; Jesus showed the world a truer, lasting love. Born on Christmas day, this is God's special Son. Holy Baby Jesus is the saving One.Chorus: Holy Child, so divine, brings a gift which outlasts time, So on Christmas we can sing praises to our holy King.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 3 - SKU: A0.1155564 Composed by Nicolas Saboly. Arranged by Ray Thompson. Christian,Christmas,Religious,Romantic Period. 15 pages. RayThompsonMusic #755861. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1155564). Arranged standard wind quintet. Un Flambeau, Jeanette, Isabelle! is a Provençal Christmas song from the 17th century. This song was first published in 1553 in France. The music is attributed to Nicolas Saboly and the text to Émile Blémont. The song tells the story of two farmers, Jeannette and Isabelle, who are going to milk their cows in a crib in Bethlehem, and find Jesus sleeping in hay. The two women run to Bethlehem to announce to the inhabitants the coming of Christ and the inhabitants come with their torches to see this for themselves. The painter Georges de La Tour painted a Nativity called The Newborn Inspired by the Song. Originally, the song was not a Christmas song but a dance song for the nobles. Little known in France today, it is most often interpreted by Anglo-Saxons on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, especially in the United States. The English version is entitled Bring a torch, Jeanette, Isabella!. This arrangement for wind quintet (in the key of Bb) has 5 verses (with different arrangements) There is a bridge passage at the start, end and between each verse. It is based on a version of the carol found in book of French Carols collected by Julien Tiersot. (Noëls Français) published by Heugel

String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - SKU: A0.1324492 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Historic,Traditional. 9 pages. Jmsgu3 #912690. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1324492). Hark! The Herald Angels Sing is a well-known Christmas carol with exciting facts surrounding its creation and evolution. Here are some intriguing details about the song:The original song was published as Hark, How All the Welkin Rings in the 1739 Wesley hymnal, Hymns and Sacred Poems. The second line, as written by Charles Wesley, read Glory to the King of kings, not Glory to the newborn King. The change from welkin to herald angels was made by George Whitfield, altering the meaning of Wesley's metaphor. The tune we usually associate with Hark! The Herald was written by Felix Mendelssohn in 1840 and was not intended as a sacred song. Mendelssohn wrote it to commemorate the four-hundredth anniversary of Gutenberg's printing press. The song was initially intended to be sung to the same tune as Charles Wesley's Easter hymn, Christ the Lord Is Risen Today. In 1855, British musician William Hayman Cummings adapted Mendelssohn's secular music to fit the lyrics of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing by Charles Wesley. The hymn highlights the virgin birth, the universal application of the coming of the incarnate Deity to all nations, and the significance of Christ's birth in Bethlehem. These facts shed light on the historical and musical significance of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, adding depth to its enduring popularity as a Christmas carol.

Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Holiday,Traditional. 3 pages. Jmsgu3 #927419. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1341909).
