Love Is Here to Stay is a popular song and jazz standard composed by George Gershwin with lyrics by Ira Gershwin for the movie The Goldwyn Follies (1938). The song was first performed by Kenny Baker in The Goldwyn Follies but became popular when it was sung by Gene Kelly to Leslie Caron in the film An American in Paris (1951). The song appeared in Forget Paris (1995) and Manhattan (1979). It can also be heard in the film When Harry Met Sally... (1989) sung by Harry Connick Jr. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. This song is dedicated to my spouse Marly's parents, Isaac and Sybil who were a part of the crew who helped the plane people in Gander through their involvement in the Anglican church. Christmas Time Is Here from the animated movie A Charlie Brown Christmas. This arrangement is embellished with laces of notes that inspire the Spirit of Christmas. This song has long been a favorite of mine; and I've arranged the music as I usually play it; with my improvisations.Christmas Time Is Here was composed by jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi to accompany the opening of the 1965 television special A Charlie Brown Christmas. It was originally written as an instrumental, but producer Lee Mendelson decided that the song needed lyrics. Mendelson recalled, When we looked at the show about a month before it was to go on the air, I said, 'That's such a pretty melody; maybe we should try and find some people to put some lyrics to it.' When he was unable to find someone available, he wrote the lyrics himself:So I sat down with an envelope — I'll never forget this — at our kitchen table and wrote 'Christmas Time Is Here' in about ten minutes. It was a poem that just came to me — never changed the words to this day. It was only about a minute long. And Vince got a bunch of little kids together to sing it.

This is one of the most popular songs of the Eighties, thanks to the Simple Minds and the film “The Breakfast Clubâ€.The Scottish rock band Simple Minds recorded this song in 1985 for the film which became a cult hit, as did the theme song. The song was written specifically for the movie by songwriters Keith Forsey and Steve Schiff.Simple Minds were reluctant to perform the song since it was not written by them. But gradually it found its way to the playlist and became one of the highlights of their live shows, when the audience sings “lalalala†for minutes.This arrangement for accordion orchestra starts in a ‘classical bombastic’ style, on a slower tempo, but picks up the tempo when the typical drum riff starts. I am 17 years old and this the very first composition I have ever written. My vision for the world is to try and help people keep positive no matter how bad or how unbarring the situation may be. There are many people on the planet that have issues that need to be dealt with and I believe that one way that they can help themselves is by trying to thing of the times where things weren't so bad. Even if they were bad, those memories should be the reminders to help you grow throughout life. This is the message that I am trying to portray with Those Memories. At the age of 15, I had a vision to help people not to forget the good and the bad moments of their lives because once the memories are forgotten, people will never be able to go back and tell stories about how they developed and came to be.  Some of the lyrics were picked from a poem that was written 4 years ago in 2016 called One Brief Moment by John Fleming. The poem was found on a website that provides poems to those who like reading poems. The website is called poetrysoup.com and I think it's a pretty cool website for poem readers, so if you like poems and you want something new, you can go there and check it out. I hope you all enjoy the piece as much as I had fun writing it. Haha.
