Clarinet Duet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1251347 Composed by Megan K. Denslinger. 21st Century,Baroque. 2 scores. 13 pages. Megan K. Denslinger #845624. Published by Megan K. Denslinger (A0.1251347). I. PreludeII. MinuetIII. SarabandeIV. GigueDance Suite for Two Clarinets was composed in the fall of 2019 and is a Baroque-styled suite in four movements, a prelude, minuet, sarabande, and gigue. As a clarinetist, the advancement of original clarinet compositions is something I find important. Each movement composed was modeled after that of the Bach Cello Suite No. 1. The form of each movement is pretty standard as it would be during the Baroque era. The rhythm is kept fairly simple as rhythmic progression or showcase was not the point. The point of the duet is in the melodic and harmonic development through using modern tonalities and techniques. Another technique used in the suite was featuring both players, creating an illusion that only one person is playing when both are playing.

Clarinet Duet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588720 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Folk,Hanukkah,Jewish,World. 2 scores. 6 pages. David McKeown #6017071. Published by David McKeown (A0.588720). 7.40pm is a traditional Russian Jewish tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets. It isn’t completely clear where the title 7.40pm comes from. One interpretation is that 7.40pm was the time the Odessa tram conductors finished work and danced to this tune. But there are versions titled 7.40am which may refer to the time of Jewish early morning prayers. Whatever the origin, there are several Russian recordings of 7.40pm that predate the 1917 revolution.7.40pm is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo. 7.40pm is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of 7.40pm is perfect for recital and concert performances, both formal and informal. Clarinet Duet Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.589650 Composed by Harry Kandel. Arranged by David McKeown. Jewish,Wedding,World. 2 scores. 4 pages. David McKeown #6083753. Published by David McKeown (A0.589650). Kandel’s Hora is a Jewish dance tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets.Kandel’s Hora was written and named after Harry Kandel. Born in Lvov, and after a short period in the Russian army, Kandel emigrated to the USA in 1905 and quickly found work as a clarinettist in vaudeville, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show and JP Sousa’s band. A brief but productive period as band-leader and recording artist followed, after which Kandel retired from performing to run a music shop.Kandel’s Hora is arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. A slow Hora in triple meter is followed by a faster Freylach version of the same melody in 4. Kandel’s Hora is suitable for players at an advanced intermediate level and above. With a performance time of three minutes, this version of Kandel’s Hora is perfect for concert performances, both formal and informal. Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.814528 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Christmas,Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 15 pages. Regis Bookshar #6616021. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.814528). Woodwind Octet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. This marvelous arrangement of the Russian Dance from Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky's extremely popular, The Nutcracker Suite, would be a fabulous addition to any music library and could be performed for concerts and recitals but would be most appropriate during the Holiday season. This selection has been arranged to keep all of the intensity and excitement of the original composition and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this selection. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (15 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time. The Nutcracker is an 1892 two-act ballet with a score by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. It has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960's and is performed by countless ballet companies, primarily during the Christmas season, especially in North America. Tchaikovsky's score has become one of his most famous compositions. Some critics have called it astonishingly rich in detailed inspiration and from beginning to end, beautiful, melodious, original and characteristic. The ballet's first complete performance outside Russia took place in England in 1934. The first complete United States performance was on December 24, 1944, by the San Francisco Ballet. It was such an enormous success that the San Francisco Ballet has presented The Nutcracker every Christmas Eve and throughout the winter season, debuting new productions in 1944, 1954, 1967 and 2004. In Salt Lake City, it has been performed every year since 1963. The New York City Ballet gave its first annual performance in 1954. In addition to annual live stagings of the work, many productions have also been televised or released on home video. The Nutcracker continues to be one of Tchaikovsky's most popular compositions and contains some of his most memorable works. Tchaikovsky made a selection of eight of the numbers from the ballet before the ballet's December 1892 premiere, forming The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, and is intended for concert performance. The suite was first performed, under the composer's direction, on March 19, 1892. The suite became instantly popular with almost every number encored at its premiere.Regis Bookshar thought that it would be wonderful if other instrumentalists could also have the opportunity to play some of these wonderful compositions, originally scored for a full orchestra, and has arranged two of the selections, the popular March and the Russian Dance, one of the character dances, based on the Russian and Ukrainian folk dance, Trepak, for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. So, in addition to this version of the Russian Dance, for a Woodwind Octet, consisting of 3 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 2 Clarinets, 1 French Horn and 1 Bassoon, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this selection for various Quintets and Octets and are readily available. If you should decide to purchase this arrangement of the Russian Dance, I would highly encourage you to also consider purchasing the arrangement of the March as well. Scheduling the March followed by the Russian Dance would be a very satisfying addition to any concert or recital. Please take the time to look for other versions of these compositions. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as there are numerous selections in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of the Russian Dance from Tchaikovsky's marvelous holiday favorite, The Nutc.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.837482 Composed by Brett L. Wery. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,World. 76 pages. Sonata Grendel Publishing #3133453. Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.837482). All the movements of Four World Variants are based on one theme. The theme proper can be heard in the fugue subject of the first movement. The second movement uses the theme in retrograde inversion (backwards and upside down) to emulate the music of Gagaku. Gagaku literally translates as elegant music and is the ancient imperial court music of Japan. The third movement uses the theme in retrograde (simply backwards) to create a sarabande. Sarabandes are typically associated with the dance suites of the Baroque era but are said to have originated in Central and North America. The Sarabande was banned for a time in 16th century Spain for it’s lascivious nature. The final movement uses the original form of the theme combined with a traditional drumming pattern of the Ewe people of Togo, Benin, and Ghana, West Africa. I. Europe: An Enlightenment Fugue II. Asia: A Gagaku Serenade III. A New World Sarabande IV. Africa: Ewe Polyrhythms This 14 minute suite is scored for two four B-flat clarinets and is ideal for high school, college or professional players. You can find information on Brett L. Clarinet Duet - Intermediate - Digital Download Composed by Sigfrid Mogulesko. Arranged by David McKeown. Israeli, Klezmer, Hanukkah, Wedding, Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Score. 4 pages. Published by David McKeown
Chosn Kale Mazel Tov, (Good Luck to the Bride and Groom), is a Jewish wedding tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for two Clarinets.

Often shortened to “Mazel Tov”, it is thought that the song was written by Sigmund “Zelig” Mogulesko. Born in Romania, he was a larger than life character who dominated Yiddish theatre on both sides of the Atlantic in the late nineteenth century. Mogulesko was a childhood prodigy, equally adept as a composer, playwright, singer, comedian, actor and impresario. Mazel Tov was written for a wedding scene in one of his productions but has since become one of the best-known and loved Klezmer standards.

Mazel Tov is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo, with constant variations in the accompaniment. Mazel Tov is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of around two and a half minutes, this version of Mazel Tov is perfect for wedding and concert performances, both formal and informal. Instrumental Duet E-Flat Clarinet,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588695 Composed by Sigfrid Mogulesko. Arranged by David McKeown. Hanukkah,Jewish,Multicultural,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 4 pages. David McKeown #6019019. Published by David McKeown (A0.588695). Chosn Kale Mazel Tov, (Good Luck to the Bride and Groom), is a Jewish wedding tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for one Clarinet and one Alto Clarinet.Often shortened to Mazel Tov, it is thought that the song was written by Sigmund Zelig Mogulesko. Born in Romania, he was a larger than life character who dominated Yiddish theatre on both sides of the Atlantic in the late nineteenth century. Mogulesko was a childhood prodigy, equally adept as a composer, playwright, singer, comedian, actor and impresario. Mazel Tov was written for a wedding scene in one of his productions but has since become one of the best-known and loved Klezmer standards.Mazel Tov is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. Small Ensemble Clarinet,Flute,Oboe,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811779 Composed by Joseph Bodin De Boismortier (1689 - 1755). Arranged by Edited & arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Instructional,Standards. Score and parts. 10 pages. Piper Publications #6274491. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811779). SUITE No. 1 in C major Opus 11 No. 1 PB 277This Suite is the first of a set of six first published by Boivin in Paris in 1727 for two musettes (bagpipes). It has been edited and arranged for pairs of flutes or oboes or violins. It would also work very well for a pair of clarinets. Players of Intermediate standard and above will enjoy the five contrasting movements in the Baroque French style, Ouverture, muzette, Viele, Menuet, Sarabande & a pair of Contredances. The format is a playing score. The original edition used the ‘violin clef’ which placed the g above middle c on the bottom line of the stave instead of the line above as is usual today. The notation has been modernised for ease of reading. All edits have been indicated using dashed lines or parentheses ( ). No dynamics are marked in the original edition since bagpipes do not usually have means of volume control. The dynamics I have added (in parentheses) are suggestions only. The Suite would have been bought and played by flute, oboe and violin players as well as bagpipers. Boismortier wrote and published a substantial number of chamber works aimed at amateur players which were very popular and made him a very wealthy man.

The lilting Anitra's Dance provides a jovial aside before the suite finishes with the instantly-recognizable In the Hall of the Mountain King.
