Published by Circlesquare Music (A0.1368435). Introducing Peaceful Day, and Night, a serene and soul-soothing piano composition that elegantly captures the tranquil essence of quiet days and restful nights. This piece, from the introspective album A Celebration of Love, and Life by the esteemed artist and composer Jose Valladares, is a musical reflection of the calm and harmony that pervade life's most peaceful moments. With a gentle tempo of 60, Peaceful Day, and Night gracefully meanders through the delicate balance of light and darkness, mirroring the natural cycle of day turning into night and night giving way to day. The melody unfolds like a quiet conversation with the soul, inviting listeners to embrace the stillness and find solace in the soothing rhythm of life's gentle flow.Peaceful Day, and Night is more than a musical piece; it's an invitation to retreat from the noise and haste of everyday life, to seek refuge in the quiet spaces where the heart speaks softly, and the mind finds rest. This composition is perfect for those seeking a musical companion for meditation and relaxation, for pianists desiring to convey a sense of peace and calm through their artistry, and for anyone who yearns for a melody that resonates with the tranquil moments of day and night.Let Peaceful Day, and Night envelop you in its serene embrace, creating an atmosphere of calm and tranquility. Allow this piece to guide you through the quiet hours, reflecting the gentle pace of a peaceful day transitioning into a restful night. This composition is a celebration of tranquility, a soothing serenade that echoes the peaceful cadence of life's most restful moments.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.778049 Composed by John David. Arranged by Jen Mathers. 20th Century,Pop,Praise & Worship. Score and parts. 4 pages. Jen Mathers #5790833. Published by Jen Mathers (A0.778049). Arranged for standard string quartet (NOTE: the audio and video samples are performed by a cellist covering all violin, viola, and cello parts, but the voicing/octaves are identical to the string quartet arrangement). This choral work was originally written by John David for the band Airwaves in 1978. It was later arranged by Peter Knight and recorded by the King's Singers. This transcription for strings follows the very popular King's Singers version. The song is about 2 1/2 minutes long, and easy to read for all string parts. Doublestops could be skipped for beginning players. Bowings are included to facilitate uniform ensemble playing. It is a secular song but is often used by church choirs. It is a lovely ensemble piece when played by string quartet, and can be used for weddings, memorial services, or any occasion requiring hopeful or somber music. According to the composer: The inspiration for New Day was quite simple; I had just had a major blow in my personal life, and was sitting alone late at night on the settee feeling very low, and watching an ominous story on the news about the very real possibility of nuclear war. I started singing to the (hopefully) soon-to arrive New Day like it was an entity, that would rescue me from the depths. If the sun came up and the birds started singing as usual then I could believe that it really was the new day in which life would go on, and in which hope would survive.

Small Ensemble Clarinet,Piano,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.775974 Composed by Cason Cooman. Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 48 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #2034873. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.775974). Shadowbook (Three Songs in the Night) (2013) for clarinet, tuba, and piano was commissioned by and is dedicated to Kevin and Susan Wass. As the title implies, it is music that possesses a certain dark energy. It evokes not so much a night of tranquility, but rather one of great intensity. The titles of the movements are poetic, not programmatic-each intends to give a sense of the mood that pervades the music. The Bearer of Bad News begins obsessively with re-iterations of a unison pitch. The movement unfolds lyrically outwards from this texture, finally reaching a climax in an intense return of the re-iterations, before a coda brings the energy back down. A Desperate Peace draws from the spirit of fierce lament. It evokes a line from Tecumseh of the Shawnee American Indian tribe: When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home. In Towards Morning an obsessive rhythmic pulse pushes the music forwards towards the coming day. The night’s dark energy, however, is not soon forgotten. The set includes a piano score and parts for Bb clarinet and tuba.

A Day on Hellroaring Plateau for Concert Band or Wind SymphonyDownload includes transposed score and all parts.Difficulty is Grade 5.Duration is approximately 9:30.Preview the entire score at https://wheatmyermusic.com/product/a-day-on-hellroaring-plateau/The Hellroaring Plateau is a landmass on the northeast extremity of the Absaroka mountain range straddling the Montana-Wyoming border. Its relatively flat topography and high elevation lead to intense winds and unpredictable storms bestowing the plateau's colorful moniker. Contrary to the title, the music reflects a compilation of impressions from multiple visits over a decade’s time, gathered with my son’s first-hand reports of overnight stays, rather than a single day’s experience. My original objective for the music was to portray the stark and stony landscape alternatively caressed and buffeted in a stew of breezes and gales, sunshine and storms. However, as I was writing the piece it became apparent the true theme of the music is rather a daily high-altitude drama pitting light versus darkness, a drama staged on the plateau’s rocks, meadows, streams, and lakes depicting a perpetually shifting kaleidoscope of distinctive lighting unlike any I have experienced elsewhere. The transparent, thin air reveals indigo blue skies and scalding-white clouds overarching stunning vistas stretching a hundred miles or more. The landscape glitters under the radiance of high latitude sunlight. The only word I can think of to describe the golden glow of sunbeams slicing through a summer snow squall is ethereal. The utter absence of artificial light makes for the darkest night skies and brightest stars one can experience on earth.

Included are a score and a complete set of parts (11 pages). This selection is one of the many arrangements from The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble's extensive music library which are being made available for the first time.Silent Night is probably the most popular Christmas carol ever written. It was composed in 1818 by Franz Xaver Gruber to lyrics by Joseph Mohr and was first performed on Christmas Eve at St. Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a small village in present-day Austria. A young Catholic priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had written the poem, Stille Nacht, in 1816 and had gone to Oberndorf in 1817. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. On Christmas Eve, 1818, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for that night's mass, after river flooding had possibly damaged the church organ. The church was eventually destroyed by repeated flooding and has since been replaced with the Silent-Night-Chapel.According to Gruber, Karl Mauracher, an organ builder who serviced the instrument at the Oberndorf church, was enamored with the song, and took the composition home with him to the Ziller Valley in Tyrol, Austria. From there, two traveling families of folk singers, the Strassers and the Rainers, included the tune in their shows. The Rainers were already singing it around Christmas, 1819, and once performed it for an audience that included Franz I of Austria and Alexander I of Russia. They also gave the first performance of the song in the United States in New York City in 1839. By the 1840's, the song was well known and was reported to be a favorite of Frederick William IV of Prussia. During this period, the melody changed slightly to become the version that is commonly heard today. The version of the melody that is generally used today is a slow, meditative lullaby, or pastoral, differing slightly from Gruber's original which has a moderate tempo. The song has been translated into about 140 languages and has been recorded by many singers across many music genres. The version sung by Bing Crosby in 1935, has sold over 10 million copies as a single. In this arrangement of Silent Night, Regis Bookshar has kept the basic form of this familiar Christmas carol, but has also included a descant during the third verse. Also, in addition to this version for a Violin Octet, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles. There are Quintets and Octets readily available for purchase. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may find something else that might also suit your needs.I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar, as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a wide variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this wonderful arrangement of Silent Night will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

Also, in addition to this version for a String Quintet, consisting of 2 Violins, 1 Viola, 1 Violoncello and 1 Double Bass, there are other arrangements of Silent Night available for a variety of instrumental ensembles.
