Here it is!This song is based on the poem Christmas Wishes written by contemporary author and poet Mary White Pustrom. Mary wrote many poems with the theme of Christmas, including what she thought people should wish for at Christmas. While so many adults wish for a new car, a sparkling diamond ring, or celebrating with a nice vacation in the tropics, she believes that Christmas wishes should be taken a step further by considering the wishes and needs of others more so than our own. In her poem Christmas Wishes, her desire for reaching out to others and granting them their wishes for the simple things in life take on great meaning: Christmas Wishes by Mary White Pustrom Now that Christmas is drawing near I cannot help but seeAll the poor and needy people who are reaching out to me. It seems that everywhere I look there is a need to fill; I feel so inadequate when their wishes I can't fill. Among the lights and decorations, there is hunger and despair, Faces filled with sadness while bright carols fill the air; Little children who are cold and hungry wait for Santa Claus, Wishing that he would bring them food, for that's a worthy cause. Others laughing, smiling, singing - so completely unaware Of all the pain and suffering that's around them everywhere; They wish for generosity in our thoughts, time, and deeds, And wish that here at Christmas time, someone could fill their needs. My wish is that we reach out to our sisters and our brothers, Who depend on us for kindness from one to another; Fill our hearts with Christmas cheer, and teach us how to share, So that Christmas wishes will be fulfilled all throughout the year. It sounds like she might have the right idea. At this time of year, it is so easy to get caught up in buying and receiving presents, the lights, and the Christmas tree, without considering the simple needs of others. Maybe this year, these simple wishes will come true for some: · Sick little children to be healed · Homeless people and children to find a family · For the less fortunate to have enough food, clothing, shelter, and shoes on their feet · That no one spends Christmas lonely and alone, and spent the way it should be, with loving family and friends. I tried to make this familiar carol into a genuine set of variations, and one way I did this was to have each stanza (one for each of the 12 days) in a different major key, ascending by half-step all the way. I hope you'll agree that the stanzas present many other kinds of variety as well--texture, tempo, mood, etc. There are quotations of many seasonal hymns and songs, most often used as transitions/modulations between stanzas. Jeanette Isabella, one of my favorites, has a more prominent role. Other than playing in all keys, the demands on the players are not extreme (though it's definitely a blow). Duration: 4 minutes, 33 seconds. Enjoy! .

It is a work of genius such as even great masters seldom achieve. The Actus tragicus belongs to the great musical literature of the world. Although Bach's manuscript is lost, the work is agreed to be one of the earliest Bach cantatas, probably composed during the year he spent in Mühlhausen 1707/1708 as organist of theDivi Blasil church, at the age of 22. Various funerals known to have taken place at this time have been proposed as the occasion for the composition, for example that of his uncle Tobias Lämmerhirt from his mother's family, who died inErfurt on 10 August 1707, and that of Adolph Strecker, a former mayor of Mühlhausen, whose funeral was 16 September 1708. The earliest surviving manuscript, in the hand of Christian Friedrich Penzel, was copied in 1768 after Bach's death. It introduced the title Actus tragicus. The cantata was published in 1876 as part of the first complete edition of Bach's works: the Bach-Gesellschaft-Ausgabe, edited by Wilhelm Rust. The text consists of different Bible passages from the Old and New Testament, as well as individual verses of hymns by Martin Lither and Adam Reusner, which all together refer to finiteness, preparation for death and dying. The Arrangement is relatively easy to perform, also appropriate for beginners. It is an ideal piece for advanced performers, this music touches deep into the Soul. The piece was arranged for modern instruments, I introduced some embellishments and interpretation symbols thus shortening the length of some notes, but no notes where otherwise changed or omitted in this arrangement. Also the original placement of the voices is totally respected, the structure of the piece was simply left as it was composed in its original form. Bach scored the instrumental parts for a small ensemble of Baroque instruments two recorders, two violas da gamba and continuo. I propose an interpretation for a modern string orquestra or a string quintet in this arrangement. You should feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills, Your taste and Soul. If the orquestra only has one double bass I would recommend you to reenforce the bass with a cello. It can be very well performed by a „string quintet- a string quartet with a double bass. Have fun! Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889440). Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is probably the most beloved artist that ever existed in this World. His work is without any doubt amongst the highest cultural achievements of the Human Being. To understand his cultural environment and musical practices I would advise you to read among others also the following books: „A Treatise on the Fundamental Principles of Violin Playing „Versuch einer gründlichen Violinschule from Leopold Mozart and from David D. Boyden A History of Violin Playing from its Origins to 1761. Also the biography righten by Jean et Brigite Massin gives us a deep view and idea of this times. Mozart wrote in Wien at 27.07.1786 this 12 duets for 2 basset horns K. 487, for his very Dear Friends „the Jacquin Family. This arrangement for 2 violin proposes an intime relation with the original work, but allows us to perform it also with modern instruments and to apply todays standards of musical literature praxis. No changes where made on the original composition, only the presentation of the score has been adjusted to contemporary violin music literature. It is also perfect adjusted for the use of baroque violins. I transposed it for the violin and introduced interpretation symbols to shorten some notes and induce loudness variations. The bowing is adjusted to violin performance but very much compromised with the ones in the original scores in wish they also meant a musical legato. I advise you to adjust much of the bowing to your taste and interpretation. Fingering is also relative to taste and school practices and is left to the artists choice. In order to leave the original notation as much untouched as possible I shortened the length of some notes with the „Staccato symbol to originate silence in between them. You are also free to further shorten even many more notes. As Mozart said - „The music is not in the notes but in the silent in between. In the arrangement, instead of repetitions, the performers interchange their parts so each of them will get to play as first and second violin player along each piece. This was common practice in chamber music when both musicians where at the same level. Very Human, this work comes from the hand of a musical Genius no other than Mozart. I tried to do an arrangement that would bring us as close as possible to the musical intention of the original work. This music demands accuracy and a very lively sensitive approach, it is a refined work of art, totally appropriate for serious „concert halls, for advanced students and great performers. Very useful of course for the music classroom on a wide range of various practices with students and also little concerts or presentations. It was righten for close friends and it should be practiced and performed with a heart full of Love and compassion. You should feel Free to apply in this piece the Art and technic that expresses entirely your individual skills, Your taste and Soul. Have fun! Published by Luis Anjos Teixeira (A0.889432). I found this Passacaglia from Bach among some of my own handwritten manuscripts. It is a phenomenal piece. Bach was definitive a great artist, a Genius. Passacaglia is an Italian word. This music form was originated in early 17th-century Spain as a strummed interlude between instrumentally accompanied dances or songs. In this piece we can clearly experience this „Spanish strumming between „Bars 137 and 145. The passacaglia was redefined in the late 1620s by Italian composer Girolamo Frescobaldi, who transformed it into a series of continuous variations over an ostinato bass pattern (which itself may be varied). I added to this piece some interpretation symbols and rearranged it for the harp but every single note was left as it would be found in the original version. The piece is appropriate for advanced performers. Most of the score is left to the interpretation of the artists involved, particularly the use of fingering. The piece is difficult but very Human. It requires focused endurance and some practice on certain passages. Once learned you will also be playing much better. When using a little lap harp, one can easily transpose the bass voice an octave higher. It is a flexible piece, you can play it slower or a little faster and even the arpeggio in the end that becomes quite easy after some practice could be replaced by a simple glissando. Luis Anjos Teixeira „Now comes the Little Story The Volcano`s Lake was composed on a volcano called Pico that stands out about 2000 meters above see level right in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. From the bottom of the ocean to its pick it is higher than mount Everest. I like to know that there are an enormous amount of different species of whales that live in this area and many others that go there strictly for romance. I went there to perform with the harp but was at the same time deeply morning the death of my Dear Cat Mary Jane that tragically passed away the day before the flight. In this isle I was having at night strange dreams of epic battles and fights between flying Angels and Demons. In one of these dreams „Time and Matter were a byproduct of „Music itself. The wind was blowing, the volcano was dancing and the water on the lake was whispering enchanting melodies. As soon as I woke up I wrote some notes before they vanished away, just a fragment of an idea of what I was listening in the dream. I named it „The Volcano`s Lake, because the „Lake was comforting me with its melodies, I realized that my tears were also becoming the lake itself and in this lake I was becoming one with Mary Jane and all the rest of the Universe. The melody is that of the German carol Kling, Glöckchen, but it is paired here with a new English text that is useful all year round, as it omits all references to Christmas, and focusses instead on different kinds of bells (sleigh bells, door bells, clock chimes, music boxes, etc.) and their association with fun and festivity in olden times. The vocal part does not go much beyond the traditional tune, but it offers ample opportunity to work on articulation, diction, expression, agility and dynamic contrast. The accompaniment, though sight-readable by a proficient player, adds a great deal of musical interest and a bit of modernity. Duration: 1'40.

Adapting the vast majority of the Latin mass to French noëls, the Messe de Minuit’s freshness and joyful spirit perfectly represent Advent. While Charpentier used ten different noël’s through the course of the work, the most serious moment of the mass, the statements of Christ’s incarnation, his mortal existence, and his death under Pontius Pilate, is given wholly original, appropriately sober music.

I needed to do something a little different than the Simon and Garfunkel version which is very iconic. I also wanted to use the melody for a Christmas song. I thought about how close We Three Kings was in places and decided it was a great song to do a combo with. This version is for SA duet, SSAA choir, flute quartet and piano. I have this in all kind of version including a men's version and SATB as well. I have version of just duet and piano and then with choir or with strings as well.
