Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1087954 Composed by John J. Bucchino. Arranged by Scott S. Stewart. 20th Century,A Cappella,Contemporary,Praise & Worship. 6 pages. Scott S. Stewart #692188. Published by Scott S. Stewart (A0.1087954). “Do Not Turn Away†by songwriter John Bucchino is a song born of the AIDS era, inspired by the story of ‘a young boy, who was HIV positive, who had come out to his parents’ and ‘they kicked him out of the house’. This situation of being ‘disowned’ by one’s family prevails throughout the LGBTQ community today. And this hymn-like ballad inspires us all to remember that “How we live, is no more choice than the way we die… don’t condemn (but) comfort them.†This arrangement is for 4-part SATB ensemble to be performed a cappella. Performance time: 2:55+-.

Choral Choir (SSAA) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1040536 By Alan Wagstaff. By Alan Wagstaff. Arranged by Alan Wagstaff. Celtic,Folk,Irish,Traditional. Octavo. 45 pages. Alan Wagstaff #639233. Published by Alan Wagstaff (A0.1040536). 'Do As You Will' is a folksy, Celtic feel choral song arranged for SSAA -with harp, flute, fiddle, and accordion accompaniment. Its shifting tonality adds complexity. The lyric is female point of view: Do As You Will Once I had a soldier lad who swore he’d love me truly. Ah! But now those days are gone! When the battle raged he turned his heel and followed duly. I gave him the salute and soldiered on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Then I loved a farmer’s son whose trinkets were his kisses. Ah! But now those days are gone! But on the road to market he had scores of narrow misses. I tossed him out for chaff and ploughed straight on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Next I had a blacksmith who was swarthy, dark, and handsome. Ah! But now those days are gone! He stole away my store of coin and ran off with the ransom. I hope he finds the fires! I’m forging on! The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. Jack the Tinker courted me, and he was ever willing. Ah! But now those days are gone! Everywhere he plied his trade he fell to Jack and Jilling. I rattled his old pans and wandered on. The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will. There’s no faith in any man, not even my own brother. Ah! But would those days were gone! Girls, if you but would, or can, you’d best love one another and leave them all behind and carry on! The wind’s about the barley and the mice are in the meal, so rise up bright and early all young lasses if you would do as you will.

Soprano, tenor, Knabensoprano, flugelhorn, mixed choir and chamber orchestra - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q7038 Teil I: Schwarz vor Augen... · Teil II: ...und es ward Licht!. Composed by Harald Weiss. This edition: study score. Music Of Our Time. Downloadable, Study score. Duration 100' 0. Schott Music - Digital #Q7038. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q7038). Latin • German. On letting go(Concerning the selection of the texts) In the selection of the texts, I have allowed myself to be motivated and inspired by the concept of “letting goâ€. This appears to me to be one of the essential aspects of dying, but also of life itself. We humans cling far too strongly to successful achievements, whether they have to do with material or ideal values, or relationships of all kinds. We cannot and do not want to let go, almost as if our life depended on it. As we will have to practise the art of letting go at the latest during our hour of death, perhaps we could already make a start on this while we are still alive. Tagore describes this farewell with very simple but strikingly vivid imagery: “I will return the key of my doorâ€. I have set this text for tenor solo. Here I imagine, and have correspondingly noted in a certain passage of the score, that the protagonist finds himself as though “in an ocean†of voices in which he is however not drowning, but immersing himself in complete relaxation. The phenomenon of letting go is described even more simply and tersely in Psalm 90, verse 12: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdomâ€. This cannot be expressed more plainly.I have begun the requiem with a solo boy’s voice singing the beginning of this psalm on a single note, the note A. This in effect says it all. The work comes full circle at the culmination with a repeat of the psalm which subsequently leads into a resplendent “lux aeternaâ€. The intermediate texts of the Requiem which highlight the phenomenon of letting go in the widest spectrum of colours originate on the one hand from the Latin liturgy of the Messa da Requiem (In Paradisum, Libera me, Requiem aeternam, Mors stupebit) and on the other hand from poems by Joseph von Eichendorff, Hermann Hesse, Rabindranath Tagore and Rainer Maria Rilke. All texts have a distinctive positive element in common and view death as being an organic process within the great system of the universe, for example when Hermann Hesse writes: “Entreiß dich, Seele, nun der Zeit, entreiß dich deinen Sorgen und mache dich zum Flug bereit in den ersehnten Morgen†[“Tear yourself way , o soul, from time, tear yourself away from your sorrows and prepare yourself to fly away into the long-awaited morningâ€] and later: “Und die Seele unbewacht will in freien Flügen schweben, um im Zauberkreis der Nacht tief und tausendfach zu leben†[“And the unfettered soul strives to soar in free flight to live in the magic sphere of the night, deep and thousandfoldâ€]. Or Joseph von Eichendorff whose text evokes a distant song in his lines: “Und meine Seele spannte weit ihre Flügel aus. Flog durch die stillen Lande, als flöge sie nach Haus†[“And my soul spread its wings wide. Flew through the still country as if homeward bound.â€]Here a strong romantically tinged occidental resonance can be detected which is however also accompanied by a universal spirit going far beyond all cultures and religions. In the beginning was the sound Long before any sort of word or meaningful phrase was uttered by vocal chords, sounds, vibrations and tones already existed. This brings us back to the music. Both during my years of study and at subsequent periods, I had been an active participant in the world of contemporary music, both as percussionist and also as conductor and composer. My early scores had a somewhat adventurous appearance, filled with an abundance of small black dots: no rhythm could be too complicated, no register too extreme and no harmony too dissonant. I devoted myself intensely to the handling of different parameters which in serial music coexist in total equality: I also studied aleatory principles and so-called minimal music.I subsequently emigrated and took up residence in Spain from where I embarked on numerous travels over the years to India, Africa and South America. I spent repeated periods during this time as a resident in non-European countries. This meant that the currents of contemporary music swept past me vaguely and at a great distance. What I instead absorbed during this period were other completely new cultures in which I attempted to immerse myself as intensively as possible.I learned foreign languages and came into contact with musicians of all classes and styles who had a different cultural heritage than my own: I was intoxicated with the diversity of artistic potential.Nevertheless, the further I distanced myself from my own Western musical heritage, the more this returned insistently in my consciousness. The scene can be imagined of sitting somewhere in the middle of the Brazilian jungle surrounded by the wailing of Indians and out of the blue being provided with the opportunity to hear Beethoven’s late string quartets: this can be a heart-wrenching experience, akin to an identity crisis. This type of experience can also be described as cathartic. Whatever the circumstances, my “renewed†occupation with the “old†country would not permit me to return to the point at which I as an audacious young student had maltreated the musical parameters of so-called contemporary music. A completely different approach would be necessary: an extremely careful approach, inching my way gradually back into the Western world: an approach which would welcome tradition back into the fold, attempt to unfurl the petals and gently infuse this tradition with a breath of contemporary life.Although I am aware that I will not unleash a revolution or scandal with this approach, I am nevertheless confident as, with the musical vocabulary of this Requiem, I am travelling in an orbit in which no ballast or complex structures will be transported or intimated: on the contrary, I have attempted to form the message of the texts in music with the naivety of a “homecomerâ€. Small Ensemble Medium Voice,Piano Accompaniment,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534375 Composed by Paul Wehage. Concert,Contemporary,Holiday,Love,Standards. Score and parts. 41 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3396161. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534375). To You for Baritone, Tenor Saxophone and piano is dedicated to the American Baritone Kurt Ollmann, who has done much for the promotion and performance of American music both in the United States and abroad.Whitman’s poem speaks of seeing a stranger and feeling love for this person. In contrast to Poe’s To Helen, which treats a similar subject of a chance meeting of a stranger that the poet loves, Whitman does not idealize his subject but rather pointedly and brutally describes how he sees this person and what feelings (both negative and positive) this contemplation provokes in the poet’s mind In order to reflect this musically, there is an alternation between more introspective and brooding sections which are then followed by more ecstatic outbursts. The piece ends with the poet watching the stranger leave, expressing what the composer felt to be acceptance and release. As in any chamber music with voice, it is important that the two instruments allow the voice to predominate, regardless of the dynamics marked in their parts. The saxophonist should try as much as possible to match colour with the voice,in order to allow the contrapuntal exchanges between the voice and the saxophone to blend evenly. The pianist should play the passages at rehearsal marks E, G and K in a more soloist manner, always taking care not to cover the voice..To YouWhoever you are, I fear you are walking the walks of dreams,I fear these supposed realities are to melt from under your feet and hands,Even now your features, joys, speech, house, trade, manners, troubles, follies, costume, crimes, dissipate away from you,Your true soul and body appear before me.They stand forth out of affairs, out of commerce, shops, work, farms, clothes, the house, buying, selling, eating, drinking, suffering, dying.Whoever you are, now I place my hand upon you, that you be my poem,I whisper with my lips close to your ear.I have loved many women and men, but I love none better than you.O I have been dilatory and dumb,I should have made my way straight to you long ago,I should have blabb'd nothing but you, I should have chanted nothingbut you.I will leave all and come and make the hymns of you,None has understood you, but I understand you,None has done justice to you, you have not done justice to yourself,None but has found you imperfect, I only find no imperfection in you,None but would subordinate you, I only am he who will never consentto subordinate you,I only am he who places over you no master, owner, better, God,beyond what waits intrinsically in yourself.Painters have painted their swarming groups and the centre-figure of all,From the head of the centre-figure spreading a nimbus of gold-color'd light,But I paint myriads of heads, but paint no head without its nimbusof gold-color'd light,From my hand from the brain of every man and woman it streams, effulgently flowing forever.O I could sing such grandeurs and glories about you!You have not known what you are, you have slumber'd upon yourselfall your life,Your eyelids have been the same as closed most of the time,What you have done returns already in mockeries,(Your thrift, knowledge, prayers, if they do not return inmockeries, what is their return?)The mockeries are not you,Underneath them and within them I see you lurk,I pursue you where none else has pursued you,Silence, the desk, the flippant expression, the night, theaccustom'd routine, if these conceal you from others or fromyourself, they do not conceal you from me,The shaved face, the unsteady eye, the impure complexion, if thesebalk others they do not balk me,The pert apparel, the deform'd attitude, drunkenness, greed, premature death, all these I part aside. There is no endowment in man or woman that is not tallied in you,There is no virtue,.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576736 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 7 pages. David Warin Solomons #119391. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576736). Mysterious piece in octatonic mode, originally written for the short story The Door The pdf file contains score and parts. The sound sample is an electronic preview. High up on the grassy hill behind the town there is a door. It stands there in its frame with nothing before or behind it. It is locked shut. There is no key. We climb the hill each day. We play each side of the door, games of hide and seek. But we cannot go through the door. Each day we go there during this long sultry summer holiday. We are fascinated by the structure. Why would anyone put a door up there, in its frame, eternally locked, with nothing before or behind it? Maybe it is all that remains of an ancient house? We play, we wonder, we laugh and play, and we return regularly to our homes in time for tea. Then, one day, as we climb the hill for the umpteenth time, a lady dressed in white arrives before us. We watch her take the key out of her bag and insert it in the lock. We are too far downhill to catch up before she closes the door behind her. As we arrive, puffing and panting, Steve knocks on the door. No answer. Dave knocks on the door more forcefully. We hear a distant swish of robes. Gloria knocks, perhaps a little more timidly as the swishing sound approaches. Estelle begins to knock in her turn and the door suddenly opens wide. We all gasp as we see the lady standing there in glistening robes. Her face is hidden from view by a white shawl, but her piercing eyes still show. Children, she says, welcome all. Do come in, please, the kettle is on. You are just in time for tea. We hesitate, as well we might. How can we come in when there is nothing before or behind the door? But Estelle puts one foot inside and looks back at us with a curious expression of serenity on her face. We follow her. We look around at the new space beyond the door and at the parquet floor beneath our dew-soaked feet. As our eyes become accustomed to the brightness of the interior we catch sight of many signs of the world we have entered, but only fleetingly. They pass before our eyes in an instant and then flee beyond the range of sight. There is a staircase, a hat stand, a distant gleam of an ancient cooker, a faint whiff of scones and boiling jam. As we walk inside, our senses are overwhelmed with the new reality, we are rooted to the spot. Do please sit down, says the lady with a slight catch in her throat. We are seated on wooden chairs along one side of an oak table, although we cannot recall how we got there, some slip of the memory perhaps. We have no sense of foreboding, Estelle's serenity has passed to all of us. We can stay here eating scones and jam until the end of time. The lady removes her shawl and reveals a face as beautiful as anyone's mother's. Her deep black eyes glisten like obsidian. She beams a smile of welcome and pours the tea. I'm glad you have come. I've been expecting you, she begins. You must have a thousand questions, so do please ask away. Well, says Steve, what is this door that we passed through? Is this another world? There is no other world, the lady replies, this is the only one. But there is! There is! starts Dave excitedly, Look!. He gets up quickly from the chair, knocking it over in his haste and rushes to the door to open it. He pulls at it with all his force and reveals a black nothingness behind it. We were on the hill, where's it gone? he shouts, what have you done to it? There is no hill. But you climbed the hill in front of us says Gloria. There is no hill. Even Estelle of the serene demeanour is beginning to look worried. How did we get here then, how did you get here, she asks the lady nervously. We have all been here since the beginning of time, the catch in the lady's throat is becoming more evident. No, we have our families down there in the town cries Estelle You have no families,.

The first day that I went in to meet them, I sat down with them on the floor and asked them what kind of performance they wanted to build. It was around the time that the Disney animated feature Frozen was very popular with kids. Or not, as it turns out, because one little boy’s hand shot up straight away and he said: “Tell you what I don’t wanna build: a stupid snowman!†He suggested we build a rocket instead. So that’s what we did. It’s a song about the wonder and curiosity we feel about the universe, of our desire to explore it, and of the determination and grit required to achieve that dream. It’s some very hard yards to build a rocket and to learn to fly it, but our dreams are always worth the work! I hope you have fun with this song. Teachers, I invite you to get as theatrical as you dare with it. In our original performance we had all these toy instruments, toy toolkits, and painted cardboard boxes. (So many boxes!). Let’s just say, if you think it’s gonna be ‘too much’, it’s probably exactly the right amount. Sally Whitwell August 2022.

Composed by Mikael Carlsson, lyrics by Sir William Shakespeare. Composition year: 2015. Secular. <br> <br> An expressive three movement work for SATB choir with divisi and piano accompaniment exploring Shakespeare text s with a nocturnal setting. Beautiful harmony and forward movement leads the way of 'Over Hill, Over Dale' ('Midsummer Night's Dream'), ominous piano glissandi and misterioso chords dominate 'Heavily, Heavily' ('Much Ado About Nothing') and shimmering light and a dazzling ending with the effect of whistling and sea waves makes the final 'Night of Our Solemnities' ('Midsummer Night's Dream) particularly memorable.<br> <br> <br> 1. Over Hill, Over Dale (Midsummer Night's Dream)<br> <br> Over hill, over dale,<br> Thorough bush, thorough brier,<br> Over park, over pale,<br> Thorough flood, thorough fire.<br> I do wander everywhere<br> Swifter than the moon’s sphere.<br> And I serve the fairy queen<br> To dew her orbs upon the green.<br> The cowslips tall her pensioners be.<br> In their gold coats spots you see.<br> Those be rubies, fairy favors.<br> In those freckles live their savors.<br> I must go seek some dewdrops here<br> And hang a pearl in every cowslip’s ear.<br> Farewell, thou lob of spirits. I’ll be gone.<br> Our queen and all our elves come here anon.<br> <br> 2. SATB choir and keyboard, with optional string quartet - Medium - Digital Download SKU: MQ.56-0009-E Composed by Howard Goodall. 23 pages. MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music #56-0009-E. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers - Digital Sheet Music (MQ.56-0009-E). English. This seven-minute SATB setting of a section of the 1640 text from the Bay Psalm Book takes wing like the birds it first mentions. What would normally be a somber litany of affliction is set to music that hints at eternal things and the saving power of God. The middle section “I said, ‘In the middle of my days, O my God, do not take away me†is set, amazingly, in Latin, which gives a wonderful contrast to the more lyrical beginning. The beginning material returns as the Latin text is now sung in English, concluding “Thy years throughout all ages are.†This music is sublime and transcendent.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1029559 Composed by Peter Daniel Klein. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 6 pages. Peter Daniel Klein #5307267. Published by Peter Daniel Klein (A0.1029559). I have written a programmatic, neo-romantic/post-romantic prose and musical fragment/miniature based on Schlegel's writings about a Hedgehog. Fragment in the sense that it is not fully developed, yet, in another sense, it is overdeveloped for its length. There are several modern elements in that it is bitonal at one point. At another point, I pit Scriabin's mystic chord, which is his synthetic mode, against what I feel is its nearest aeolian mode, c-minor, which is modernistically dissonant. It is written in 'classicized' AABA popular song form, which is perfect for a miniature. It revolves around the programmatic, free verse' Prayer,' a plea to God for sleep, elusive due to the mourning of lost love and the associated emptiness and grief felt deep in the night. It is motivic in that there is a repeated augmented 6 to a half-diminished cadence that introduces the theme and then serves to transition each small section, in a secondary dominant style repetition until reaching tonic. -A1 is a simple statement of the linear theme and harmony in 6ths, and 9ths, almost in keeping with the introductory and transitionary cadence, at least intervallically. -A2 is a restatement of that theme with an added countermelody (which becomes the subject of section B) woven between the upper linear melody and the altered bass accompaniment. -B begins with a short statement of the countermelody bi-tonally, the left hand in c minor, the right in g minor. There is a brief transposition between several keys, bitonally, while the sostenuto pedal holds a pedal tone until it attenuates completely. The two measures build from repressed despondency to rage, as strong emotions often do, quickly turning to dissonant chaos. The dynamics and intensity build to a diminished chord whose top note moves up half a step to a Scriabin mystic chord arpeggio. The held sustain pedal melds the dissonance together with emotional tumult, which fades as quickly as it came, as outbursts often do. -A3 starts with the motivic cadence and a deep bass pedal tone. This section is the crowning moment in the piece. In sixths, the macabre accompaniment moves to the right-hand upper tessitura as the more developed 'A' melody moans below in the bass and baritone as the music ebbs away. A simple c-minor arpeggio strains against a very similar Scriabin mystic chord arpeggio, an octave or a minor seventh apart, ending on an A major and A flat in sweet, gentle, unresolved dissonance against a dying root pedal tone, the final teardrop.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.800202 Composed by Various, Traditional. Arranged by Samantha J Bramley - stringspirational@gmail.com. Children,Christmas. Score and parts. 25 pages. Samantha Bramley #3877327. Published by Samantha Bramley (A0.800202). The Holiday Season can be really painful for lower string players in any ensemble. Playing ‘cello in a Carol concert makes me want to cry. That is why I have created arrangements of classic Christmas Carols and Songs guaranteed not to bore the pants off your violist or ‘cellist. No more bashing out bass notes for the ‘cello, and no more chugging away on the off-beat for viola while the fiddles get soaring melody after soaring counter-melody. We deserve more than this, right guys? You got it! Noël Re-Nouvellé Pot pourri des chants de Noëls Français les plus populaires pour trio à cordes. Durée de six minutes à la vitesse proposée. A jolly romp through some of the most popular French language carols, Noël Re-Nouvellé is a medley for string trio lasting 6 minutes at given tempo. With optional 2nd violin for viola part. Written with interest in all three parts, and taking turns with melody and accompaniment, this is a very enjoyable arrangement for ensembles of intermediate ability. If you have a great viola player or bored ‘cellist s/he will love this! Contains some double stopping of open and stopped strings. 1. Joie dans le monde - Joy to the World 2. Quittez, Pasteurs - Shepherds, Leave your Flocks 3. Entre le bœuf et l'âne gris - The Ox and the Grey Donkey 4. La Marche des Rois Mages - March of the Magi Kings 5. You got it! This arrangement of 'White Christmas’ for string quartet stays true to the spirit of the original Bing Crosby version with respect both melody and harmony. Beginning with those unmistakeable 4 chords in the upper strings, the ‘cello takes the majority of the vocal line, but all three other parts are also given a chance to shine with melody, counter melody and harmony by turns. With high positions in both violin parts and up to 4th position plus harmonics for the lower strings, the challenge in this arrangement is found in the technical and musical interpretation of this iconic song, and is a great play for ensembles of advanced intermediate standard. Note from the arranger: All my arrangements for strings are conceived specifically with the aim of writing interesting parts for all players. Most parts do not go beyond 4th position (with the exception of a few harmonics in the lower string parts, and some higher positions in the violin parts), making them suitable for advanced student and mixed ability groups. Brass Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767215 Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 307 pages. Lyons Music Services #3087101. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767215). Monteverdi - The Fourth Book of Madrigals 1603In this book, Monteverdi continues to develop the techniques and writing practices that would eventually form the first opera and his Stile Nuovo. The polyphony becomes more complex and more tonal and the interdependence of the parts more striking. He is experimenting with more dissonance but also moves towards more tonal writing. Although a far cry from the I IV V and minor of the modern pop song, he is nonetheless helping to push forward a more diatonic type of harmony with a more dramatic tonal and harmonic structure that goes much more towards true word painting than his previous books. All 20 madrigals are here: 1. Ah! Dolente Partita – Oh, Sweet Parting!2. Cor Mio Mentre Vi Miro – My Heart as I dream I turn into you. 3. Cor Mio Non Mori? E Mori – My heart did not die? And it died4. Sfogava con le stelle – He dallied with the stars 5. Volgea l' anima mia – Volgea my soul, so dear and sweetly shining 6. Anima mia perdona – My soul forgives 7. Che se tu se ' il cor mio – That if you are as good as my heart 8. Luci Serene e Chiare – Lights, serene and clear 9. La piaga c'ho nel core – The plague is in the heart 10. Voi pur da me partite – You do not mind me, though 11. A un Giro Sol de' Begl' Occhi – At one glance of good eyes 12. Ohime se Tanto Amate – Alas! If you like it too much 13. The movement moves between the despair and loneliness of the night that one can feel, even when sleeping next to a close partner, and the racing desperation of the mind, whereby patriotic affiliations will calm the soul at these times. the movement finishes with the tune of Land of my father's resonating but even this is of no comfort, and the troubled mind lies awake and the movement finishes with a flurry of discord. The Solitude - 5.34 in length:The movement begins with a haunting melody led by the Oboe. the Horn soon joins in as do other instruments of the quintet. A simple Gregorian type rhythm and chant passes through the quintet with the Oboe leading the movement.Crescendos and attacked notes give the piece a rise and fall showing the mood of the soul that alternates between a calm and a peak of mood as sleep is hard to come by and a restless state is invoked. It appears that the oboe will be leading the soul into peace yet, at the last moment, the quintet joins in with chords of attack and crescendo followed by a sharp diminuendo to end the piece. The soul has sought solace, yet, all they find is loneliness.Brad's Broadcast - 3:01 in length:The restless soul awakes after a restless night. The world is full of voices, advice, motivation and answers. In this lively movement, the soul searches for solace and finds sense from some sources, yet, the cacophony of contrary advice and the nature of some disciples of business and life coaches becomes confusing. there are some real gems of advice available, but, the noise of others drowns out the sense and sanity. The soul manages to find some humour in the forums and media, they smile, but the relief is short lived. The movement ends with all voices descending away in a glissando and silence is restored.By His Own Hand - 4:26 in length:This movement reflects the desperation of the soul. they have sought solace, humour has passed them by, they do not feel that they can continue to live. The piece starts with a cadenza played by a viola. A violin soon duets in this Jewish styled lament.Throughout the movement the brass are spartan, reflecting the confusion of the soul. The ability to cling onto the world and to continue living is a losing battle. The waves of the lament increase in their presence, but not velocity, for the depressed souul is reaching the point of no return and of no choice. They will soon depart from the world by their own hand. The end ofthe movement is a descent and a unifying discordant sound as the soul leaves.Dreaming of Heaven - 2:31 in length:The soul is now rising and an ancient Celtic tune accompanies the soul in the form of a Soprano voice singing words of hope and light. The soul's path is lit and the ancient bell of.

Christmas,Holiday,Jazz,R & B,Religious. 7 pages. Level 53 Music #1033487. Published by Level 53 Music (A0.1454385). This elegant yet simple carol was arranged as an a cappella SATB ensemble with tender and expressive harmony. Commissioned in 2024 for the SF Bay Area-based professional ensemble, Areté Singers. The Secret of Christmas It's not the glow you feel when snow appears. It's not the Christmas card you've sent for years. Not the joyful sound when sleigh bells ring, or the merry songs children sing. The little gift you send on Christmas daywill not bring back the friend you turned away.So may I suggest the secret of Christmas is not the things you do at Christmas time, but the Christmas things you do all year through.

Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576279 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 4 pages. David Warin Solomons #15653. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576279). This song was inspired by my initial reactions to the realization that I am infertile. In my case this was due to Kallmann's syndrome I am now perfectly happy with my infertility, after all, there is much else to do in the world and Dawkins' selfish gene can simply go spin its plot elsewhere: my children are my compositions, and they populate the world in their own way with joy, humour and thoughtfulness... wherever they will... ... However, I know there are many who are not happy with childlessness, so I dedicate this song to them ....and to my past self. The sound sample is my own performance. Here are the words: Learn this my child, who never hears my word Your luck is out, you are but but a poem deaf to change You are a romantic ramble on absurd round which the childless brain desires to range Hear this my daughter, blind to loveliness Your love is mine, untouchable, unknown to all Save to a song befitting her distress Whom Sappho loved but answered not her call See this my eunuch, watching others` joy Your luck was in, your luck was in You threw it far away, too far away for its return Save to another and another boy while I look on, unmoved as from a star Taste this my tears grown cold Resigned and pure Your love is his I know not whose nor do I care Yet love I would, and yet cannot be sure that another`s love could now be mine to share Warm this my heart These strings beget my child Their luck is in Their love is mine So close, my son! My daughter`s breath sings Through my fingers styled Sings to herself All other children shun © David W Solomons Video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOB34ds34Tk
