Flute,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1466915 Composed by Martin Luther. Arranged by Carolyn Kelley. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Score and part. 32 pages. Carolyn Kelley #1045476. Published by Carolyn Kelley (A0.1466915). The texts and tunes of Martin Luther's hymns have a timeless quality, and Lutherans of every age know these hymns well. The arranger has collected 6 well known hymns written by Martin Luther and arranged them for advanced flute and piano. Musicians will find parts that will demand strengths in every register, expect technical fluidity, and musical expression, particularly for the flutist. The arrangements are designed for a professional flutist, or an advanced college student. Even the most skilled flutist should be able to praise their Lord with their skills that were given to them, rather than being forced to play arrangements far below their best first fruits. This collection includes: Dear Christians, One and All, Rejoice (NUN FREUT EUCH, LIEBEN CHRISTEN); From Heaven Above to Earth I Come (VOM HIMMEL HOCH); Lord, Keep Us Steadfast in Your Word (ERHALT UNS, HERR); A Mighty Fortress (EIN FESTE BURG); Our Father, Who from Heaven Above (VATER UNSER IM HIMMELREICH, DER DU); and Savior of the Nations, Come (NUN KOMM, DER HEIDEN HEILAND).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1102519 Composed by Kevin G. Pace (ASCAP), Mark R. Fotheringham. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 3 pages. Kevin G. Pace #705932. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1102519). A sacred hymn with music by Kevin G. Pace. Text, inspired by the book of Proverbs, by Mark R. Fotheringham. Text: Trust in the Lord with all of thine heart; Lean not to thine understanding. In all of thy ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct thy travelling. Honor the Lord with thy substance too, And with the first fruits of thy increase; So shall all thy barns be filled with grain, Thy presses with wine shall not cease. Fear of the Lord prolongeth thy days; Years of the wicked are shortened. The hope of the righteous shall be glad; The wicked an unexpected end. To the upright, the Lord's way is strength; Destruction shall find those who sow strife. But ne'er shall the righteous be removed. His words are a wellspring of life.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576884 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Octavo. 6 pages. David Warin Solomons #484851. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576884). Setting of a poem by David Dunning extolling the virtues of idleness and its effects in each season. The sound sample here was the first performance, performed by a singing group in our college back in 1976. The author of the words is singing with the tenors and I am playing the guitar part. These are the words of the original poem: When autumn harvests are full grown and luscious fruits to me are shown, piled plump and rich till stomachs groan when autumn harvests are full grown ripe juices puddle on the tongue, and winter I forget in gurgling song. once when the fresh new spring was here I lavished though to sow the year oh dreaming seasons never interfere with worldly bounty, scorned the prudent song and prayed March winds to buffet time along Soon in the heat of summer haze I floundered on through deep green maize, where heavy herds lowed as they grazed, I saw that I would reap in thought among the rich; and time moved on with busy song, now in the heat of summer Now winter creeps between the sashes and rain upon the window lashes while wild wind moans round rafters dashes and I to annual poverty belong, yet know that spring flows richly on in song When autumn harvests are full grown and luscious fruits to me are shown, piled plump and rich till stomachs groan when autumn harvests are full grown ripe juices puddle on the tongue, and winter I forget in gurgling song.

Piano - intermediate to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q53318 From the Valkyrie by Richard Wagner. Composed by Carl Tausig. Edited by Robert Schafer and Wilhelm Ohmen. Arranged by Carl Tausig. This edition: Sheet music. (c) 2020 Schott Music GmbH & Co. KG, Mainz. Classical. Downloadable. 9 pages. Schott Music - Digital #Q53318. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q53318). Carl Tausig received his first musical education from his father – composer and student of Thalberg – Aloys Tausig. At the age of 14 he went to Weimar to study with Franz Liszt, with whom he soon became a favourite. After only two years, Liszt sent him to Richard Wagner in Zurich, with a letter of recommendation. He became one of his most loyal followers. As a successful pianist, Tausig also made a name for himself with his virtuoso piano arrangements. The arrangement of ‘Siegmunds Liebesgesang’ (Winter storms gave way to the blissful moon) from the Valkyrie was published by Schott as early as 1863 (plate number 17307), several years before the first performance of the opera. Tausig died in 1871 from typhoid, at the age of only 29. The epitaph on his gravestone was written by Wagner: ‘Ripe for Death’s harvest, / too early to pluck / the shyly sprouting fruits of life / in the fleeting bloom of spring-- / was it thy fate, was it thy bourn-- / thy fate and thy daring both we must mourn.’.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1373521 Composed by Jean Ahn. 21st Century,A Cappella,Classical,Contemporary,Spiritual. 8 pages. Jean Ahn #957881. Published by Jean Ahn (A0.1373521). TEXTWho is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.  For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits,  impartial and sincere.  And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:1-16 (English Standard Version)  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,  coming down from the Father of lights. James 1:17 (English Standard Version).

Girl's choir (SSMezAA) a cappella - difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q20948 For girl's choir (SSMezAA) a cappella. Composed by Peter Eotvos. This edition: choral score. Schott Chamber Choir. Downloadable, choral score. Duration 6 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q20948. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q20948). German. This six-minute madrigal setting was commissioned by the renowned Hanover Girls' Choir and composed on the basis of one of Rainer Maria Rilke's profound poems. It begins as a thanksgiving prayer: for the summer, for the autumn fruits. But the first winds bring along the fear of the cold and loneliness of winter: 'Whoever is alone now will remain so for a long time, will stay up, read, write long letters…'. Peter Eötvös lets the poem unfold twice, each time in a different way, thus intensifying the reflection. The tonality is treated freely, and the choral setting extends the underlying five-part texture, in which the choir's soloists create striking echoes, up to eight-part passages.

The masters of the violin have left us an inheritance of numerous books of remarkable studies and caprices. But the very abundance of this precious inheritance makes that an important part of it remains without profit, because it is impossible for the pupils to acquire or study these few thousands studies scattered in fifty big volumes. Very frequently, however, these studies are not classified in a progressive manner. Result of an inspiration which the pedagogical spirit could not always dominate or guide as it liked to, the first studies address themselves sometimes to the pupils who conjugate yet their first shifts with the most easy bow strokes, while the last are always of transcendent difficulty. Whatever be the chosen studies, once the first step is sourmounted, the pupils must do great efforts to realize imperfectly and in divided movements, difficulties which are beyond them. The result of this is: a considerable loss of time and sometimes even much discouragement. It follows at all events, that instead of practising fifty or sixty caprice studies in one year\'s time, the pupils can hardly study thirty. It is the desire to remedy these multiple inconveniences, that has incited us to realize the present work and in order to accomplish it to search in the greatest works of the masters, the elements the most apt to insure rapidly to the young violinists, the most complete mecanism of the left hand and bow. These exceedingly numerous and diverse elements chosen in the old editions, have been re-examined, fingered and sometimes the nuances (shades) set by us, with the most care and then classified by degrees from the second to the eight year of study in a progressive manner. These books of studies will not bear their fruits however, unless the work is regulated from the second to the fifth year of teaching, by a good method and appropriated exercises. The studies cannot in reality during this period, replace neither a method nor the exercises, they have to be considered rather as an amplified rehearsal of elements learned elsewhere but still badly assimilated. The masters of the violin have left us an inheritance of numerous books of remarkable studies and caprices.

Thisnew collection of Thanksgiving and Harvest hymns contains all your favorites,or at least, most of them. It’s probably all you’ll ever need for thanksgivingand harvest festivals and the arrangements can be used for virtually anycombination of stringed instruments. This is an essential title for any stringlibrary or for any string ensembles that are called upon to provide music forschools, Thanksgiving events or churches. <br> <br> Thearrangements can be used with string quartet, string quintet or string ensembleor performed as solo pieces. There’s also an optional but useful simplifiedkeyboard part intended for less experienced keyboard players. The piano parttoo means that you can use the arrangements as solos, duets or trios. Thesearrangements are intended either as stand-alone pieces that could be used asinterludes in a service, or they could be used to accompany solo, choral orcongregational singing. To make the music accessible to less experienced stringplayers, the range of the notes has been kept fairly low so that many of thearrangements can be played in first position. However, to produce a brighterand richer sound, a few of the more experienced violinists could play an octavehigher. You could also use the arrangements as flute or oboe solo pieces, with thewind instrument playing the 1st violin part. Each hymn has a four-staff scoreand parts are provided for Violin 1, Violin 2, Viola, Cello and optional Doublebass. The scores and all the parts are contained in a single PDF file. Becausestring-friendly keys are used, these arrangements are NOT compatible with thosein the wind collection of the same name.<br> <br> Thefollowing 25 hymns are included: AllCreatures of our God and King (Lasst uns Erfreuen); As the Sun doth Daily Rise(Innocents); All Things Bright and Beautiful (Bright and Beautiful); Bringingin the Sheaves (Sowing in the Morning); Come Ye Thankful People Come (StGeorge’s Windsor); Fair Waved the Golden Corn (Holyrood); Fill your Hearts withJoy and Gladness (Ode to Joy); For the Beauty of the Earth (Dix); For theFruits of His Creation (Ar Hyd y Nos); Glorious Things of Thee are Spoken(Austrian Hymn); Immortal, Invisible (St Denio); Let all Things now Living (AshGrove); Let us with a Gladsome Mind (Monkland); Now Thank we all Our God (Nundanket); Praise and Thanksgiving (Bunessan); Praise God for the Harvest(Stowey); Praise my Soul the King of Heaven (Lauda anima); Praise to the Lordthe Almighty (Lob den herren); Rejoice the Lord is King (Darwall’s 148th);Sing to the Lord of Harvest (Wie lieblich ist der maien); This is my Father’s World(Terra Beata); To thee, O Lord, our Hearts we Raise (Golden Sheaves); We GatherTogether (Kremser); We Plough the Fields and Scatter (Wir pflügen) and PraiseGod from whom all Blessings Flow (Old Hundredth)Thisnew collection of Thanksgiving and Harvest hymns contains all your favorites,or at least, most of them.
